Harrah's Hoosier Park Racing & Casino is a racino including a standardbred racetrack located in Anderson, Indiana, approximately 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis. It is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The facility features live harness racing from April through November, casino gaming, restaurants, a gift shop, and entertainment. The $300,000 Dan Patch Stakes was established at Hoosier Park in 1994 and has become a tradition that highlights some of the best athletes in the sport of harness racing. The 2017 Breeders Crown, harness racing's annual series of 12 championship events valued at $6 million, was contested at Hoosier Park on October 27 & 28. The 2020 edition of the Breeders Crown occurred Oct. 30 & 31, while the 2023 edition is scheduled to be held at Harrah's Hoosier Park once again.Hoosier Park offers off-track betting (OTB) at three locations in Indiana: Clarksville, Indianapolis, and New Haven. It was built in 1891, and is a two-story, Romanesque Revival style brick and stone building on a raised basement. The building features two three-story towers. Attached to the original building is a Bungalow / American Craftsman style addition constructed in 1921. In December 2017, Anderson University, the owner, announced its intent to sell WQME.On May 31, 2018, the station ceased local programming, switching to the Educational Media Foundation's Air1 network. The university formally sold WQME to EMF outright on October 31, 2018. The sale was completed on November 30.On January 1, 2019 Air1 switched from its longtime Christian CHR/Top 40 format to a Christian worship format.

Mounds Mall is a defunct enclosed shopping mall located in the city of Anderson, Indiana, United States. Opened in stages between 1964 and 1965, it was the first enclosed mall developed by Melvin Simon & Associates, now known as Simon Property Group. The mall's original anchor stores were H. P. Wasson and Company, Montgomery Ward, and J. C. Penney; over time, the Wasson store became Meis, Elder-Beerman, and Carson's, while Montgomery Ward became Sears and J. C. Penney was torn down and rebuilt as a movie theater. After a period of decline, Mounds Mall closed to the public in April 2018. The movie theater closed a year later, leaving no businesses in the building.

The bridges features rivets instead of pins in its construction.: 5–6 It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
