Rowley station (MBTA)

Bradstreet Farm in Rowley, Mass. is believed to be the second-oldest continually operating farm in the U.S. Originally deeded by King Charles I of England to Humphrey Bradstreet in 1635, the property remained in the Bradstreet Family for many generations until 2007, when the Town of Rowley purchased the 120-acre parcel including a 19th century farmhouse and 18th century barn. The Town set aside 103 acres as conservation land, and sold seven acres including the farmhouse and barn as a private residence with historic preservation restrictions. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Platts-Bradstreet House, is a historic house museum at 233 Main Street in Rowley, Massachusetts. Its oldest portion dating to about 1677, it is a well-preserved example of First Period architecture, modified by repeated addition during the 18th century. The house has belonged to the Rowley Historical Society since the 1920s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Egypt River is a stream in Ipswich, Massachusetts, United States. The river is formed by the confluence of Bull and Dow brooks below their reservoirs, and in turn joins the Muddy River and then the Rowley River, which empties into the Plum Island Sound. The Rowley River runs through salt marshes, in which it forms a narrow and winding inlet about 5.5 miles (8.9 km) in total length. The name Egypt River is recorded as early as 1635. In early colonial times, it was also termed the North River. It was then a source of herring and smelt, but few have been observed since the 1970s.

Holy Island is a marshy island located off the northeast coast of Massachusetts, north of Cape Ann. The island is situated immediately west of Plum Island and is part of the Town of Ipswich in Essex County. The Rowley River runs by the island, which is the northernmost of four marshy islands.

The Chaplin–Clarke House is a historic First Period house at 109 Haverhill Street in Rowley, Massachusetts. Its oldest section built c. 1670 by Joseph Chaplin, it is the oldest house in Rowley. The house began as a full width two story wood-frame structure that was only one room deep; the leanto section at the rear was added c. 1700. The house was acquired in the early 1700s by Richard Clarke, in whose family it remained until the early 20th century. It was owned for a time by the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (now called Historic New England), but is now in private hands.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Dole–Little House is a historic house at 289 High Road, Newbury, Massachusetts. It is now a non-profit museum operated by Historic New England and open to the public, for a fee, at rare intervals. Private tours can also be arranged. The original house was built around 1715 with materials salvaged from an earlier structure (perhaps c. 1670) for Richard Dole, a cattleman. It was built a two-room, central-chimney construction with a small kitchen shed at the rear. This shed has since been replaced with a larger lean-to. In 1954 the house was acquired by Florence Evans Bushee and restored to reflect its original period. During restoration, the lean-to was removed and reconstructed with new timbers, and a small-paned sash from the front of the house was moved to the lean-to. The paneling from one chamber was installed as an exhibition room at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.; a copy replaces it in the original chamber. Historic New England received the title to the house after Mrs. Bushee's death in 1975.

Ipswich High School is a public high school in Ipswich, Massachusetts, United States, which serves students from grades nine through twelve. It is the only high school in the town of Ipswich. As of 2019, the school's principal is Jonathan Mitchell. Ipswich High School shares a building with Ipswich Middle School.

Brown's Manor is a historic house at 115 High Street in Ipswich, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story Second Empire structure, with brick walls decorated with wooden trim, and a mansard roof pierced by segmented-arch dormers. The building corners have white-painted wood quoining, and the front entrance, set in a round-arch opening, is sheltered by a porch supported by grouped paneled columns. The house was built about 1886, probably by George Brown, who purchased the property that year. Brown was from a family known locally for its house-building skills.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Roger Island River is a small tidal estuary between Ipswich and Rowley, Massachusetts. It is a southern branch of the larger Rowley River passing around Roger Island. Roger Island River is navigable for small craft, and home to bass, shad, and alewives. Its banks are lined with tidal salt marshes and abound in clams. Today the river is popular for kayaking.
