Meshingomesia Cemetery and Indian School Historic District is a historic Indian school, cemetery, and national historic district located in Pleasant Township, Grant County, Indiana. This site was historically used for a variety of purposes including education, recreation, cultural, civic and government, and ceremonial. It is also known as Mihsiinkweemisa Cemetery and Indian School Historic District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Shady Hills is a neighborhood just north of Marion, Indiana in Grant County, Indiana. Like Marion, it is right off of Interstate 69. It was built throughout the 1940s and 1950s on the rolling hills just north of town. There is a golf course (Shady Hills Golf Club) adjoining the neighborhood. Nearby churches include First Friends and First Christian (Disciples of Christ). Marion's Matter Park is also very close. Originally children from Shady Hills attended Oak Hill Schools, but they now attend Marion Community Schools.A notable architectural attraction is the Dr. Richard Davis House, "Woodside" designed by Frank Lloyd Wright located on Overlook Drive that runs through Shady Hills from Indiana 15 to North River Drive. Dr. Davis and his wife Madelyn Pugh (a writer for the I Love lucy TV show) had the home built, but after a short stay in Indiana, opted to move permanently to the west coast.Shady hills is also about 30 miles east of the Kokomo Metropolitan Area

The Dr. Richard Davis House, also known as "Woodside", is a historic Frank Lloyd Wright designed home in the Shady Hills neighborhood in Washington Township, just north of Marion in Grant County, Indiana. The Usonian style home was constructed in 1955. An addition was completed in 1960.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Five Points Mall, formerly North Park Mall, was an enclosed shopping mall in Marion, Indiana, U.S. Opened in 1978, the mall's anchor stores are Roses Discount Store. Planet fitness & Applebee's are other major tenants. There are 3 vacant anchor stores that were once Sears, Carson's, and JCPenney. Outparcel properties include Subway, Buffalo Wild Wings, Ruler Foods, Jo-Ann Stores, and Dollar Tree. The Mall is managed by Select Strategies.

The Cardinal Greenway (TGC) is a multi-use recreational network combining a rail trail and an on-street route that together cross 62 miles (100 km) and five counties — in east central Indiana. The greenway, which was designated a National Recreation Trail in June 2003 and in 2018 was named to the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's "Rail Trail Hall of Fame." uses the former CSX railroad track between Richmond and Marion. It is named after the Cardinal, the last regular passenger train service on the (Chicago-Cincinnati-Washington) route. Currently it is Indiana's longest rail trail project.The route, which is dedicated to pedestrian, bicycle and equestrian users, has nine bridges and passes the historic Wysor Street Depot. It also follows the White, Whitewater and Mississinewa Rivers. Marked in half-mile increments, the TGC has more than 20 trail heads, most with restrooms, parking areas, and interpretive markers. The system hosts annual events including the National Trails Day (June/Running), Cardinal Greenways Bike Fest (July/biking), Walk Indiana (September/walking), and BikeTOURberfest (October/bicycle).The Cardinal Greenway is part of the Northern Route of the American Discovery Trail. and connects to the White River Greenway near downtown Muncie. A current expansion is underway to construct the White River Greenway trail in downtown Muncie. In Richmond, the trail connects to the Whitewater Gorge Trail and Gennett Walk of Fame in the Whitewater Gorge Park.

WXXC (106.9 FM "Star 106.9") is a 50,000 watt Class B radio station licensed to Marion, Indiana, and serving the Muncie-Marion Arbitron market. Studios and offices are located on S. Pennsylvania St. in Marion. The station features a hot adult contemporary format mainly consisting of hits from the 2000s to present. The station is currently owned by Hoosier AM/FM.

J. Wood Wilson House, also known as the Wilson-Vaughan House and Hostess House, is a historic home located at Marion, Grant County, Indiana. It was built in 1912, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, rectangular, Colonial Revival / Georgian Revival style brick dwelling. The front facade features a projecting portico with Ionic order columns and balcony with a decorative iron railing. It was designed by noted African-American architect Samuel Plato (1882–1957).: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
