Maumee Bay State Park

Maumee Bay on Lake Erie is located in the U.S. state of Ohio, just east of the city of Toledo. The bay and the surrounding wetlands form most of the Maumee River basin, and in 1975 part of the area was incorporated into Maumee Bay State Park. The park is not huge, covering 1,450 acres (5.9 km2), but its wetlands feature some of the best bird watching in the United States. The Maumee Bay area is a popular vacation spot in the Midwest, featuring several resorts and a golf course.

Clay High School is a public high school in Oregon, Ohio, United States, east of Toledo. It is the only high school in the Oregon City School District. The school is named for Jeremiah Clay, who donated his farmland for the school to be built on.Over the last few years the Clay High School Campus has undergone remodeling. An addition was made to the main building, while the old elementary and the Annex were demolished. The Main building also was gutted and redone. The school colors are green and yellow. Their nickname is the Eagles, after their mascots Eddy and Edna the Eagle. Clay was a member of the Great Lakes League until 2003 when they joined the Toledo City League. Clay's joining of the TCL made them the second non-Toledo team to join the league (Cardinal Stritch 1971-1994) though they have played the Toledo City League schools for years prior to joining. In 2011, Clay joined the newly formed Three Rivers Athletic Conference as a charter member.

WRVF (101.5 FM "The River") is a commercial radio station in Toledo, Ohio, owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1964 when the owners of the Cedar Point Shooting Club donated the land to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The refuge is now about 2,630 acres (10.6 km2) of marsh that is divided into three pools. The largest one is almost 2,000 acres (8.1 km2), it is the largest contiguous marsh in Ohio’s Lake Erie marshes. This refuge is mostly closed off to the public, but between June and August, about 40 acres are open for fishing. Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge is managed by the staff from Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge out in Oak Harbor, Ohio which is located off of Route 2. The purpose was to maintain the natural wildlife population on balance with the habitat available while decreasing and limiting exotic plant and animal species. This refuge is not to be used as a public park, campground or picnic area.

Harbor View is a village in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 123 at the 2010 census.

Curtice is a census-designated place in northern Allen Township, Ottawa County, and southwestern Jerusalem Township, Lucas County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 1,552. It has a post office, with the ZIP code of 43412.

Turtle Island is a 1.5-acre (0.61 ha) island in the western portion of Lake Erie in the United States. The island has an unusual political status, as its jurisdiction is divided between the U.S. states of Michigan and Ohio, even though the island has no residents or current use. Turtle Island is located about five miles (8.0 km) northeast of the mouth of the Maumee River in Maumee Bay. Today, the island houses several abandoned structures and the ruins of Turtle Island Light, a lighthouse dating back to 1866. According to the Census Bureau, most of the island physically lies in Jerusalem Township in Lucas County, Ohio with the smaller Michigan portion being part of Erie Township in Monroe County, Michigan.

The Oregon Clean Energy Center (OCEC) is a combined-cycle natural gas-fired generation facility located in Oregon, Ohio. The facility has the capability to generate 960 net megawatts of capacity and can produce electricity for more than 700,000 homes. It was developed and financed in direct response to the robust wholesale price signal provided by PJM Interconnections's capacity and energy markets. The OCEC uses two Siemens SGT6-8000H gas turbines and one steam turbine, currently the most advanced on the market. Designed to be the most efficient generating facility in the mid-Atlantic power markets, OCEC emits 90% less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, mercury and fine particulate matter than coal-fired power plants; as well as 50% less carbon dioxide and 33% less water than traditional coal plants of the same size.

Pearson Metropark is a regional park in Oregon, Ohio, owned and managed by Metroparks Toledo. It is one of the few remnants left of the Great Black Swamp. The park contains old-growth forest and wetlands. The park contains a pond with paddle boat rentals in the summer months and sledding in the winter months. Pearson Metropark hosts an annual waterfowl festival.
