Arapaho Center station (formerly known as Richardson Transit Center until 2002) is a DART Light Rail station in Richardson, Texas. It is located at Greenville Avenue near Arapaho Road. It opened on July 1, 2002, and is a station on the Red Line, serving the Richardson Civic Center, the University of Texas at Dallas and part of Richardson's Telecom Corridor including the facilities for Honeywell and Samsung. Customer features at this station include: station concierge, passenger shelters, windscreens, seating, restrooms, customer information, ticket vending machines, telephones, bus "kiss & ride" passenger drop-off/pickup area, free parking (1,100 spaces, overnight or long-term parking is at the discretion of the customer), bike rack and public art. Nearby attractions and destinations include: Chinatown, Richardson Civic Center, University of Texas at Dallas (via bus route 362), Collins Technology Park, Honeywell, Inet Technologies, Intrusion, Optical Switch, and Samsung Telecommunications

The Alexander School was a private college preparation middle and high school (grades 7–12) in Richardson, Texas. Named after Alexander the Great, it was established by David B. Bowlin in 1975. It closed permanently on June 1, 2017.

Qalam Collegiate Academy is a private faith-based middle and high school (grades 5-12) in Richardson, Texas. Named after the chapter Qalam in the Quran. Qalam is enjoyed by the majority of the students at the School. The school is now under a different administration as of Fall 2018, with new principals and teachers. This results in a better student response. The School has won many awards at MIST

The Telecom Corridor is a technology business center in Richardson, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas, which contains over 25 million square feet (2.3 million square meters) of office space and accounts for over 130,000 jobs. Located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and home to the University of Texas at Dallas, the Corridor is a strip about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) long along U.S. Route 75 (US 75) (the North Central Expressway), between President George Bush Turnpike and Interstate 635 (I-635) and is often considered an area of the Silicon Prairie. More than 5,700 companies, including 600 technology companies are headquartered in the area, including significant players such as AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Verizon, Samsung, Texas Instruments, and MetroPCS. Some of these companies also have offices in Telecom Valley located in California. Although the Telecom Corridor was a booming area of Dallas's economy during the late 1990s, the dot-com bust of 2000 hit the region hard. However, it began recovering in 2004, and that recovery has since picked up momentum, gaining both the operations of many non-technology-related companies and many previously non-existent residential units designed in the New Urbanist style. The name "Telecom Corridor" is a registered trademark and may technically only be used to describe the area mentioned in this article.

Salam Academy is an Islamic PreK–high school in Richardson, Texas. It was established as a part-time school in 2003 and added a full-time school in fall 2008. As of 2014 it had 315 students, 90% being South Asian, 5% being Arab, and 5% being non-Hispanic white, Hispanic, and Black. It is not affiliated with any particular mosque.

Fossil Group, Inc., is an American fashion designer and manufacturer founded in 1984 by Tom Kartsotis and based in Richardson, Texas. Their brands include Fossil, Relic, Michele Watch, Skagen Denmark, Misfit, WSI, and Zodiac Watches. Fossil also makes licensed accessories for brands such as BMW, Puma, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors, DKNY, Diesel, Kate Spade New York, Tory Burch, Chaps, and Armani Exchange.Kosta Kartsotis, brother of Tom Kartsotis and CEO, owns approximately 12.5% of Fossil stock. The company name is the nickname the brothers gave their father.

Galatyn Park station is a DART Light Rail station in Richardson, Texas. The station serves the Red Line and, during peak periods, the Orange Line. It is located on the eastern side of North Central Expressway (US-75) and is named for a nearby road, Galatyn Parkway. The station opened on July 1, 2002 as part of the Red Line's third major expansion. It served as the northern terminus of the line until December 9, when the line was extended to Parker Road.The station is adjacent to the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and a portion of Richardson's Telecom Corridor, which includes offices for AT&T, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, GEICO, Goldman Sachs, and CBRE Group. A shuttle bus connects to the Palisades office and residential park on the other side of US-75.In tribute to the Telecom Corridor, the station is decorated with a technology theme. The station's pedestrian entrance is flanked by two columns resembling abstract satellite dishes, and the station's support beams are covered in bundles of steel resembling communication wires. The station fencing includes panels that resemble a circuit board, as well as panels that spell "GALATYN PARK" in Morse code, analog signal, and teletype.

Apollo Junior High School is a secondary school in Richardson, Texas. It is part of the Richardson Independent School District. Apollo is one of two intermediate schools that feed L.V. Berkner High School. Founded in 1977, Apollo educates students in grades 7-8. Its approximate annual enrollment is 800 students, nearly twice that of the Texas state average for middle schools. The student-teacher ratio is 16.5:1.

Richardson Square Mall (1977-2006) was an enclosed single-level shopping center located in Richardson, Texas on Plano Road, stretching between the intersections of Belt Line Road and Spring Valley Road. The three adjacent corners of Belt Line and Plano Road were also occupied by shopping centers. The mall attached to an existing Sears, which served as an anchor store and remained in business after Richardson Square Mall was demolished in June 2007. Now located in its place is an outdoor retail center that goes by the name Richardson Square.

IANT Quranic Academy (IQA) is an Islamic private school in Richardson, Texas serving grades pre Kindergarten-12. It is a part of the Islamic Association of North Texas. The school was founded in 2002 with a Full Quran memorization, Hifz, Alim Studies ( Islamic Scholar), and Academic program ( pre K - 12 gragde) in response to the needs of thousands of American Muslims residing in the city and neighboring cities such as Dallas, Garland, Plano etc. It is one of the veteran Islamic schools in North Texas with 20 years of experience. 148 students graduated from IQA and 146 students became huffadh (memorized the Quran), and hundreds earned pre-alim diplomas.

The Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) is a non-profit organization of Muslims dedicated to worship, education, and community service in Richardson, Texas. IANT provides many services to the North Texas community in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In addition to religious services such as the five daily prayers, weekly Friday sermons, Taraweeh prayers, community Iftars, Eid prayers, marriage ceremonies, counseling services, and Dawah work, IANT also provides several other educational and community services. IANT is also the mother-organization of the IANT Quranic Academy (IQA), Suffa Islamic Seminary (SIS), IANT Youth, and IANT Sports.

Buckingham is an area within Richardson, Texas, United States that was formerly a separate incorporated city. As of the 1990 census, the city had a total population of 102. Encompassing only 159 acres (0.6 km2), Buckingham, near Dallas, was surrounded by Richardson. In the early 1980s, real estate speculators bought most of the land, intending to create a planned development similar to the Las Colinas planned development in north Irving. To spur development, the residents voted to allow alcohol sales in the community before they were bought out. But the real estate market declined, and by the late 1980s, the development company went bankrupt. The 1990s brought more development to the area, though not without causing conflicts with nearby Richardson residents. At one point, conflicts between the cities led to school zone signs being removed from one Buckingham road, leading parents to stand alongside the road waving flags to warn motorists to slow down. In April 1996, though, conflicts between Buckingham and Richardson were resolved once and for all, when Buckingham's 159 acres (0.6 km2) were annexed into the city of Richardson. Since it allowed alcohol sales before annexation, it remained "wet", although the vast majority of Richardson was at the time "dry". (With the other exception being a small area of land annexed into Richardson along SH 190.) Richardson residents voted on whether to allow beer and wine sales in the 2006 general election. The measure passed with 68% in favor, so Richardson is no longer considered "dry."
