The Anna–Dean Farm is a historic farm in Barberton, Ohio, United States. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the site of several structures independently listed on the Register.

Lake Anna Park is a 21-acre (85,000 m2) park around a spring-fed, 10-acre (40,000 m2) lake, and is located in the center of downtown Barberton, Ohio. Lake Anna was formed by natural geology, left after the last ice age. It would have long been a resource for varying cultures of indigenous peoples in the area. Ohio Columbus Barber, industrialist and founder of Barberton in 1894, named the lake after his only daughter Anna Laura Barber.

Barberton was a train station along the Erie Railroad main line in the city of Barberton, Summit County, Ohio, United States. Located 612.8 miles (986.2 km) from Hoboken Terminal on the Kent Division of the main line, the station first saw service in 1890 while under the ownership of the New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio Railroad, a subsidiary of the Erie Railroad, to help bring people to the new community. Passenger service was terminated on August 1, 1965, with the cancellation of the Atlantic Express (eastbound) Pacific Express (westbound), and multi-day trains from Hoboken to Dearborn Station in Chicago, Illinois. Located at 356 4th Street NW, the city of Barberton was a big part of the large rubber manufacturing area in and around nearby Akron. The depot was constructed by Ohio Columbus Barber, the founder of the community which forked from New Portage Township and was designated a Type IV structure by the Erie Railroad in the Valuation Report to the Interstate Commerce Commission. The depot has also been an important stop for several Presidents of the United States, including two campaign stops for Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, as well as the funeral train for Warren G. Harding.

Barberton High School is a public high school in Barberton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Barberton City School District, serving 1,421 students in grades 9-12 as of the 2018–19 school year.

The O. C. Barber Piggery, built in 1912, is a historic farm building located at 248 Robinson Avenue on the Anna-Dean Farm in Barberton, Ohio. It was built by American businessman and industrialist Ohio Columbus Barber, the developer of both Barberton, which he envisioned as a planned industrial community, and the nearby 3,500-acre (14 km2) Anna-Dean Farm, which he envisioned as a prototype for modern agricultural enterprise. Barber was called America's Match King because of his controlling interest in the Diamond Match Company.The 300-foot-long (91 m) brick and block Piggery building, painted patriotic red, white and blue, was only used to house swine until 1915, when cholera was detected in the herd, which was then destroyed. After being thoroughly disinfected with bleach, the building was used to house sheep for two years, before they were replaced by calves because Barber was upset by the fact that the sheep destroyed the pastures by their grazing practices. The building was renamed the Calf Barn.On May 22, 1973, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

It was built by American businessman and industrialist Ohio Columbus Barber, the developer of both Barberton, which he envisioned as a planned industrial community, and the nearby 3,500-acre (14 km²) Anna-Dean Farm, which he envisioned as a prototype for modern agricultural enterprise. Barber was called America's Match King because of his controlling interest in the Diamond Match Company.It incorporated all the latest U.S. government requirements for milk production barns and upon completion was called the largest barn in the world by the Akron Beacon Journal, but it ended up being the smallest cow barn on the Anna-Dean Farm.On February 28, 1973, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

It was built by American businessman and industrialist Ohio Columbus Barber, the developer of both Barberton, which he envisioned as a planned industrial community, and the nearby 3,500-acre (14 km²) Anna-Dean Farm, which he envisioned as a prototype for modern agricultural enterprise. Barber was called America's Match King because of his controlling interest in the Diamond Match Company.The Creamery was used to process and bottle the milk produced on the Anna-Dean Farm and to make ice cream, all of which was sold under the Anna Dean Farm brand name. Up to 10,000 pounds of milk were processed per day.On May 22, 1973, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Akron Fossils & Science Center is a small museum and learning center located in Copley Township, Ohio, United States, a few miles west of Akron. The building contains the Creation Education Museum, which features exhibits displaying the arguments for and against creationism and intelligent design, as well as an exploration of the relationship between science and the Bible. The building also houses several areas with interactive tour stations and activities focused on hands-on science. An outdoor park offers playground equipment and a 200 ft zip-line. Throughout the year, the facility hosts a variety of educational programs. Some of the programming is targeted toward the religious base that supports the museum's creationist leanings, while many of the other programs maintain a straightforward, science-based approach. Activities like themed summer camps, presentations about fossilization, live animal shows, birthday parties, and Education Days take the more neutral approach. On the other hand, the center offers guided tours of the Creation Education Museum, as well as K-12 science classes, speaking engagements, and youth nights, all of which tend more towards the creationist approach. These programs are optional and are designed to promote pseudoscientific intelligent design theories in connection with the Judeo-Christian religious tradition.

Rolling Acres Mall was a shopping mall located in the Rolling Acres area of Akron, Ohio, United States. Built in 1975, it originally included approximately 21 stores, with Sears as the main anchor store. Later expansions added several more stores including anchor stores JCPenney, Montgomery Ward, and O'Neil's, along with a movie theater and food court. Montgomery Ward was converted to Higbee's in 1986, and then to Dillard's in 1992, while O'Neil's became May Company Ohio, Kaufmann's, and then finally Macy's. The fifth anchor store was Target, added in 1995. At its peak, the mall had over 150 stores. It underwent a sharp decline in tenancy throughout the 1990s and into the first decade of the 21st century, resulting in the relocation of Target and closure of Dillard's. Macy's and the mall itself both shuttered in 2008, although Sears remained operational until 2011, and JCPenney as an outlet store until 2013. Rolling Acres Mall was publicized after its closure as an example of a dead mall, and non-retail ventures operated out of the former locations of Target, Sears, and Dillard's. The mall was finally demolished in stages between 2017 and 2019, with Amazon building a distribution facility on the former site soon after.
