The Myles Building is a historic U.S. building located at 911-919 East New Haven Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. This two story building was constructed in 1913 and included a restaurant and billiard parlor on the first floor and the Midway Hotel on the second. Soon after completion, the Melbourne Times newspaper relocated to the Myles Building. Part of the building was also used as a temporary classroom when the local schools ran out of space. After prohibition ended, Shorty's Bar opened at the billiard parlor and according to legend, gangster Al Capone played pool there.

The Florida Power and Light Company Ice Plant (also known as the City Products Corporation Ice Plant or locally as the Ice Plant) is a historic site in Melbourne, Florida, United States. It is located at 1604 South Harbor City Boulevard. On November 17, 1982, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Construction on the plant began in December 1926 after the approval of a permit; it was completed in the spring of 1927. The original estimated cost was $30,000, but the final construction cost has been listed at $100,000. The plant, which had an ice capacity of 50 tons at its peak, ceased operation in 1977.At various times, proposals have been made to redevelop the building as a restaurant, offices, or residential space.

The 1900 Building is a historic U.S. building located at 1900 South Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne, Florida. This three story building was constructed in 1924 and originally opened as the Melbourne Hotel. The building housed several businesses through the years, including a bank, specialty stores and professional offices. The building has seen significant architectural changes over the years, with the reconstruction of the corner tower, elimination of the original windows, reconstruction of the covered walkways, and elimination of the dome atop the tower. The building received its current name from its address -- "1900" South Harbour City Boulevard.

Green Gables, also known as the Wells House, is a historic home at 1501 South Harbor City Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida, United States. The house fronts the Indian River. Local business man William T. Wells purchased the Strobah property and built the Green Gables in 1886 with his wife Nora Stanford Wells as a winter home. Green Gables is an example of Queen Anne style architecture, and it is believed to be the first home in the area with indoor plumbing and an indoor bathroom. On May 18, 2016, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Green Gables was scheduled for demolition in 2015, but a group of local historians and community volunteers are working with the owners, fourth generation family members, to save the house due to its historical significance to the area. The community needed $500,000 to salvage the house as of April 2020. In July 2022 Green Gables was awarded a $500,000 Special Category Grant from the Division of Historic Resources from the State of Florida. On June 12, 2023, Ownership of Green Gables was transferred to the non-profit organization of Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village.

The Nannie Lee House, often referred to as Strawberry Mansion, is a historic U.S. home located at 1218 East New Haven Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. John B. Lee and his wife Nannie McBride Lee from Albion, New York built the house in 1905. Lily Tidwell, adopted granddaughter of Nannie Lee, inherited the house in 1929, and her family lived there for many years. The house served as a restaurant called The Strawberry Mansion from 1981 until 2007. The house and attached buildings were sold in 2010. DiGiacinto purchased the property and changed it to a food business called "The Mansion of Melbourne" in 2011.Local urban legend alleges the house as haunted with vague reports of paranormal activity, but no concrete documentation supports the claim.

It is a 514-bed facility, including the only level II trauma center in Brevard County. It also operates Brevard's only neonatal Level II trauma center.In 2010, the hospital had 38.8 percent of the patient admissions in the county, 23,250, twice the number of its nearest competitor in the county admitted.
