Corrales, New Mexico

San Ysidro Church is a historic church on Church Road in Corrales, New Mexico. It was erected in 1868 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It is the second of three churches named after Saint Isidore (Ysidro), the patron saint of farmers. It is a one-story adobe church with towers added in 1929.

Sandia View Academy is a private high school in Corrales, New Mexico. It is located in panoramic view of the Sandia Mountains. Sandia View Academy is a seven Albuquerque-area constituent church-run, grades 9 to 12, accredited senior high school in the Texico Conference of the Southwestern Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The school was founded in 1941 and has students from around the ABQ Metro area. Sandia View Academy is accredited through the State of New Mexico's Public Education Department (PED) for private schools, the Adventist Accrediting Association, and the National Association of Private Schools. The Adventist school system is a worldwide network and is recognized as the second-largest parochial school system in the world.

The Middle Rio Grande AVA is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) with a wine grape heritage dating back to 1629. Located in New Mexico, it is part of American wine’s larger New Mexico wine region. The region is located from Santa Fe to the bosque of the Rio Grande, centering around the Albuquerque metropolitan area. It was officially designated as an AVA in 1988. The AVA encompasses 278,400 acres (112,664 ha) of land in a narrow strip along the Rio Grande valley from Santa Fe to Belen, just south of Albuquerque. The land ranges from 4,000 to 6,500 feet (1,200 to 2,000 m) in elevation. The climate is semi-arid, with warm days and cool nights. Sub-freezing temperatures occur in the winter. A variety of Vitis vinifera and French hybrid grapes are grown. New Mexico State University has conducted viticultural research in test vineyards in the Middle Rio Grande Valley at the Los Lunas Agricultural Science Center.

Sandia Pueblo is a station on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail line. The station opened on August 29, 2011.It is located near the Sandia Pueblo on NM Highway 313 just off Roy Avenue. Each of the stations contains an icon to express each community's identity. The icon representing this station is a hummingbird, which is important to the Sandia people. It is one of a number of birds that is significant for its beauty and the goodwill that it carries. It is sometimes mentioned in songs and prayers.

Edith Enclave is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 211 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area.

KKNS (1310 AM) is an American radio station licensed to Corrales, New Mexico, serving the Albuquerque metropolitan area. It is owned by The Navajo Nation and broadcasts talk and music programs in English and in the Navajo language. By day, it is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional. But to reduce interference at night to other stations on 1310 AM, it reduces power to only 82 watts. The transmitter is on Montbel Place in Albuquerque.

Pueblo of Sandia Village is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sandoval County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 344 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a yearly hot air balloon festival that takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, during early October. The Balloon Fiesta is a nine-day event occurring in the first full week of October, and has over 500 hot air balloons each year far from its beginnings of merely 13 balloons in 1972. The event is the largest balloon festival in the world, followed by the Grand Est Mondial Air in France, and the León International Balloon Festival in Mexico.

The Domingo Tafoya House is a historic house located north of Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the unincorporated village of Alameda. The date of construction is unknown but it was probably built in the 1850s or earlier, possibly by Domingo Tafoya, whose family lived in Alameda since at least 1839. The Tafoya family continued to own the home at least until the 1980s. The house was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is located immediately to the west of another historic building, the Rumaldo Chavez House. The house is a one-story adobe building containing five rooms arranged in an L shape. Four of the rooms probably date to the original construction of the house; the fifth is a kitchen that was added in the 1930s. The rooms are connected by low interior doorways under 6 feet (1.8 m) high, and one room has exposed original ceiling beams and floorboards. The house was modified during the 20th century with the installation of new doors and windows and a hipped roof dating to the 1960s.

The Rumaldo Chavez House is a historic house located north of Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the unincorporated village of Alameda. The date of construction is unknown but it was probably built in the 1860s or earlier, possibly by Rumaldo Chavez, whose family lived in Alameda since at least the 1840s. By 1927, his daughter-in-law Aurelia H. de Chavez was listed as the owner. The house was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is located immediately to the east of another historic building, the Domingo Tafoya House. The house is a one-story, flat-roofed building constructed from terrones, large adobe bricks, with outer walls 24 inches (61 cm) thick. It contains six rooms arranged in an L shape. Five of the rooms probably date to the original construction of the house and have ceilings with exposed vigas, plank floors, and separate exterior doorways. Most of the windows are 1-over-1 wood-framed sash windows and probably date to the late 1800s.

Farm Credit of New Mexico is a FCS Agricultural Credit Association that provides New Mexico's farmers, ranchers, agricultural business, farm co-operatives and homeowners in rural communities with loans and banking services related to commercial and consumer needs. Headquartered in Albuquerque, it is the largest agricultural lender serving New Mexico. It is within both CoBank's and Farm Credit Bank of Texas's charter territories. In recent years, Farm Credit of New Mexico has placed increased emphasis on expanding lending opportunities to the state's younger farmers and ranchers. In 2006, the institution launched a $250,000 scholarship program based at New Mexico State University. This program provides a $2,000 annual scholarship the children and grandchildren of Farm Credit of New Mexico members' enrolled as undergraduates at the university.

The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is a museum dedicated to the worldwide history, science, and art of all types of ballooning and lighter-than-air flight. It is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, and is situated just outside the grounds used for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world's largest yearly balloon fiesta, and is named for Ben Abruzzo and Maxie Anderson, two Albuquerque natives who established several ballooning firsts, such as crossing the Atlantic Ocean and continents. Ben Abruzzo and Maxie Anderson most notably crewed the Double Eagle II balloon in 1978, the first gas balloon to complete a transatlantic flight. Abruzzo and Anderson stretched the limits of ballooning and air travel until their untimely passings in 1983, and are honored for their excellence and history with ballooning here in Albuquerque. Opened on October 1, 2005, it is owned by the city of Albuquerque and is a collaborative project of the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt not-for-profit corporation, and the City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services Division. It is a 59,000-square-foot (5,500 m2) facility with class rooms, conference rooms, and many exhibits on the history of ballooning, including items from famous balloonists such as Ed Yost, Joseph Kittinger, and Ben Abruzzo.
