Edition VFO, Verein für Originalgraphik, is a non-profit arts institution, edition publisher and gallery based in Zürich.

Wipkingen is a quarter in the district 10 in Zürich. It was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zürich in 1893. The quarter has a population of 15,446 distributed on an area of 2.11 km². Zentrum für Migrationskirchen (literally: Centre for migration churches) comprises eight Protestant churches from four continents, situated in the former church hall of the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of Zürich in Zürich-Wipkingen, being a unique centre in Switzerland for the so-called migration churches.

The Kunsthalle Zürich is a contemporary art exhibition centre in Zurich, Switzerland. It is located on Limmatstrasse, near the city centre. A number of temporary exhibitions are organized each year.In 2014 Daniel Baumann replaced Beatrix Ruf as the director.Their exhibition of Gilbert and George was closed early due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was described as having a reputation as a high-quality newspaper, as the Swiss-German newspaper of record, and for objective and detailed reports on international affairs.

The foundation has a yearly budget of 5 million Swiss Francs and its fund reaches 50 million. The foundation is completely free in its research and content. Founded in 1999 by 14 of the most important Swiss multinationals, Avenir Suisse is nowadays supported by 130 donors: Swiss companies as well as individuals.

The Swissmill Tower, also known as Kornhaus, is the tallest operating grain elevator in the world. Standing at 118 metres (387 ft), it is the second-tallest building in the Swiss city of Zürich.

Zürich Wipkingen railway station (German: Bahnhof Zürich Wipkingen) is a railway station in the Wipkingen quarter of the Swiss city of Zürich. It is situated on the Zürich–Winterthur railway line, which was built by the Swiss Northeastern Railway (Schweizerische Nordostbahn).The route towards Zürich HB leads over the Wipkingen viaduct (Wipkinger Viadukt). Immediately at the northern end of the station, the Wipkingen Tunnel starts and connects it to Zürich Oerlikon.

The Prime Tower, also named "Maag-Tower" in an earlier stage of planning, is a skyscraper (Hochhaus) in Zurich, Switzerland. At a height of 126 metres (413 ft), it was the highest skyscraper in Switzerland from 2011 until 2015, when the Roche Tower in Basel (standing at 178 metres (584 ft)) was finished. The building is located near the Hardbrücke railway station in Zürich West of the Industriequartier. The tower replaces an industrial facility. According to its developers, the tower's construction, which took 15 years to plan and execute, was a financial success, with its valuation based on lease rates exceeding the construction cost by CHF 110 million.A webcam on top of the building offers a 360° view of Zürich.

The Institute for Mathematical Research (Forschungsinstitut für Mathematik, FIM) is a mathematical research institution located at ETH Zurich and founded in 1964 by Beno Eckmann. Its main goals are to promote and facilitate the exchange between ETH Zurich and international leading mathematicians.The Institute offers a platform on which contacts of lasting values between faculty members of the Department of Mathematics of ETH, graduate students, members of the Swiss mathematical community at large and international researchers can be established. A lean staff structure of a director, a coordinator and an administrative assistant, a well-equipped infrastructure of 30 working spaces, and an independent budget serve as the basis of the Institute. This structure enables the FIM to host about 200 guests per year, ranging from short term visits of one or two days to long term stays of up to one year. Furthermore, the FIM organises scientific activities like conferences, minicourses and advanced graduate courses.FIM is member of EPDI (European Post-Doctoral Institute for Mathematical Sciences) and ERCOM (European Research Centres on Mathematics) and is jointly financed by the SNF and ETH Zurich.

The Hardbrücke (Swiss German: Hardbrugg) is a 1,350 metres (4,430 ft) long road bridge and important north–south connection in the Swiss city of Zürich. As of 2009, 70,000 vehicles use the bridge daily. From north to south, the bridge crosses Wipkingerplatz in the Wipkingen quarter, the River Limmat, a couple of roads of the Industriequartier (including Escher-Wyss-Platz), the railway tracks of the Zürich–Baden and Käferberg lines (including a railway station), numerous holding tracks of the track field preceding Zürich HB, the former goods station (mostly removed) and a road (Hohlstrasse) in Zürich's District 4. Over the Limmat, the Hardbrücke forms an upper level to the lower level Wipkingerbrücke, a road/tramway bridge. There are several exit and entrance ramps that link the bridge to the streets below. Some junctions on the bridge have traffic lights.

Zürich Hardbrücke railway station (German: Bahnhof Zürich Hardbrücke) is a railway station in the central part of the Swiss city of Zürich. It is situated below Hardbrücke, a road bridge that lends its name to the station. Hardbrücke station is only 1.9 kilometres (1.2 mi) away from Zürich HB (main station) and situated near the business and entertainment district Zürich West, next to the Prime Tower.
