Windsor West (provincial electoral district)

Windsor West (French: Windsor-Ouest) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1968.

Westview Freedom Academy is a secondary school (grades 9 through 12) in Windsor, Ontario, managed by the Greater Essex County District School Board. Westview Freedom Academy was established by the Greater Essex County District School Board in 2014. The school services Windsor's West end population by offering programs for all levels of learners. The school offers Academic Classes, Applied Classes, English Language Learner Program, Locally Developed Classes, Adapted Basic Classes, S.T.E.P.S courses, and the Stepping-In program. Some of the many programs featured at the school include OYAP, CO-OP, SHSM, SWAC, OPS, Duel Credit Program, & OLS.

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board (WECDSB, known as English-language Separate District School Board of Education No. 37 prior to 1999) is the separate school board that oversees Catholic education in Windsor and the surrounding County of Essex, in Ontario, Canada. Its headquarters are in the Windsor Essex Catholic Education Centre in Windsor. It provides administration to a total of 44 schools which provide classes from kindergarten to grade 12, where Catholic teachings permeate all areas of the curriculum. The board was created in 1998 from the merger of the Windsor Separate School Board (WSSB) and the Essex County Separate School Board (ECSSB) as the anglophone and francophone separate school boards.

Windsor was a train station in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The station was built by the Michigan Central Railroad in 1911 and subsequently controlled by the Canada Southern Railway. The station served Canada Southern Railway and New York Central trains. Windsor also has another railroad station in town. Through most of its decades, and into the latter 1960s, the station served New York Central passenger trains over a New York–Buffalo–Windsor–Detroit–Jackson–Chicago route: the Empire State Express and the Wolverine. It also served trains bound for a slightly more northerly route east: to London, Toronto and Montreal: the New York Central-Canadian Pacific pooled train, the Canadian (later renamed the Canadian-Niagara).The last train service to this station was Amtrak's Niagara Rainbow from October 1978 to January 31, 1979. The building was burnt to the ground in 1996 due to arson.

The school was originally established as a private preparatory school by Assumption College, now Assumption University, but it is now a publicly-funded separate school under the jurisdiction of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board. It offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and Specialist High School Majors Programs in addition to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

University of Windsor Stadium, also known as Alumni Field, South Campus Stadium and St. Denis Centre Stadium, is a 2,000-seat stadium located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The stadium is mainly used for soccer and Canadian football. It is home to the Windsor Lancers, the athletic teams of the University of Windsor. The stadium was built in conjunction with the City of Windsor to host the 2005 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. The total project cost $8.6 million and was built by Eastern Construction and designed by JP Thomson Associates Ltd. The stadium opened in June 2005.The stadium is next to the St. Denis Athletic Centre.A FieldTurf playing surface was added to the stadium after a fundraising initiative, including a large donation of $500,000 from the University of Windsor Alumni Association. At the time, this donation was the largest gift ever in the organization's history.The 2007 Canadian Soccer League (CSL) All-star game was held at University of Windsor Stadium.It was host to the 2007 Canadian Track and Field Championships and the 2008 Canadian Track and Field Trials.

J.E. Benson Public School (formerly Wyandotte Street School) was an elementary school in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. J.E. Benson School is administered by the Greater Essex County District School Board, which also services sixty-one other elementary schools located in Windsor, Ontario and Essex County, Ontario.

Holy Names High School (often abbreviated HNH), is a Catholic secondary school located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It belongs to the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board. It serves students from grades 9 to 12.

Centennial Secondary School is a former public secondary school in Windsor, Ontario that was operated by the Windsor Board of Education. It was in operation from 1969 through June 1986. It merged with Vincent Massey Secondary School. The building now houses Holy Names High School. In February 1970 about 120 U.S. history students from Centennial visited Murray-Wright High School in Detroit. In April 1970 85 black students from Murray-Wright visited Centennial for a day to discuss whether they preferred nonviolent or violent methods of achieving racial equality.By March 1986 the Windsor Separate School Board had attempted to acquire the school campus but the secular board did not allow it. In July 1986 the secular public board agreed to hand over the building to the Catholic separate board. The Catholic district planned to reopen it as Holy Names in September of that year.

The Odette School of Business (OSB) is the business school of the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario. Odette School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).Applicants do not need to have professional experience, but a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of 550 is required.

John L. Forster Secondary School, often referred to as J.L. Forster or Forster, was a high school in the west end of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1922 as General Byng Elementary School, it was later repurposed as a secondary school; it also underwent two name changes, eventually being named after its first principal. It was located within the authority of the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) and was assessed at 2.1 out of 10 in academic performance by the Fraser Institute.
