Wilson Grove is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States.

Rancho El Molino was a 17,892-acre (72.41 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sonoma County, California granted by Governor José Figueroa in 1833 to John B.R. Cooper. The grant was officially confirmed by Governor Nicolás Gutiérrez in 1836. "Molino" means "mill" in Spanish, and the name refers to Cooper's sawmill. The grant extends south from Russian River along Atascadero Creek, and encompasses present-day Forestville.

The Laguna de Santa Rosa is a 22-mile-long (35 km) wetland complex that drains a 254-square-mile (660 km2) watershed encompassing most of the Santa Rosa Plain in Sonoma County, California, United States. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment has issued a safe eating advisory for any fish caught in Laguna de Santa Rosa due to elevated levels of mercury and PCBs. In addition, there is a notice of "do not eat" for black bass.

The Russian River Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in Sonoma County, California. Centered on the Russian River, the Russian River Valley AVA accounts for about one-sixth of the total planted vineyard acreage in Sonoma County. The appellation was granted AVA status in 1983 and enlarged in 2005. The area generally lies between Sebastopol and Santa Rosa in the south, and Forestville and Healdsburg in the north. The Russian River Valley has a characteristically cool climate, heavily affected by fog generated by the valley's proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The area is known for its success with cool climate varietals, notably Pinot noir and Chardonnay.

Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (IATA: STS, ICAO: KSTS, FAA LID: STS) is 7 miles (11 km) northwest of downtown Santa Rosa, California, in Sonoma County, California, United States.The airport is named after Charles M. Schulz, the famed cartoonist of the Peanuts comic strip, who lived in Santa Rosa for more than 30 years. The airport's logo features Snoopy in World War I flying-ace attire atop his doghouse.

El Molino High School was a public four-year comprehensive high school located at 7050 Covey Road in Forestville, California, United States. El Molino High School serves the West Sonoma County Union High School District. Matt Dunkle is the principal. Its campus occupies 41 acres (17 ha) of land.The high school offers advanced placement classes (AP) in a number of subjects. The advanced placement participation rate of students at El Molino is 23%. The pass rate for AP exams is 78%.The student demographics at El Molino are 48% male and 52% female. The total minority student enrollment is 30 percent with hispanic students, who make up the largest minority group, accounting for 23% of the school's total population.

Martinelli Winery is located in California’s Russian River Valley and is a family business that has been growing grapes since the 1880s. It is one of the oldest surviving vineyards in Sonoma County.

Walters Ranch Hop Kiln is historical site of buildings built in 1905, in Sonoma, California in Sonoma County, California. The Walters Ranch Hop Kiln is a California Historical Landmark No. 627 listed on January 13, 1958. The Walters Ranch Hop Kiln was built by Italian stonemason, Angelo "'Skinny" Soldini. Sol Walters purchased 380 acres of the Rancho Sotoyome, a 1853 Mexican land grant to Josefa Fitch. The Walters Ranch Hop Kiln is composed of three stone kilns (ovens, Oast houses) for drying hops for 20 hours a patch. Hops are used in beer making breweries. In addition to the kilns, the site as a wooden building for cooling the hops and a two-story press for baling the hops for shipment. The Walters Ranch Hop Kilns was one of early and large operation in the Northern California region. Landmark Vineyards purchased the property in 2016. Landmark Vineyards', Landmark Hop Kiln Winery, is restoring the buildings that are in the Russian River Valley. It was hops, not grapes that was Sonoma County's first major crop. By 1940 hops was no longer and major crop due to the downy mildew disease and insect phylloxera.There are other historical buildings on the site, A 1888 sheep barn was built with square nails and wood peg construction. Also a Italianate house. A California historical marker is at 6050 Westside Road, Healdsburg. The historical marker at Walters Ranch Hop Kiln was placed there by the California Department of Parks and Recreation in working with the Griffin Vineyard on May 1, 1977.Walters Ranch Hop Kiln is on the National Register of Historic Places in Sonoma County, California.

Mark West Creek is a 29.9-mile-long (48.1 km) stream that rises in the Mayacamas Mountains of Sonoma County, California, United States. Tributaries of Mark West Creek include Porter Creek and Hummingbird Creek, both of which originate in the same mountain range. Discharge waters of Mark West Creek reach the Russian River after a confluence with the Laguna de Santa Rosa. The Community Clean Water Institute has developed a program for monitoring pollutants in Mark West Creek.The four-mile stretch of Mark West Creek from Mark West Lodge to Mark West Creek Road is a challenging class III-V whitewater kayaking run.

DeLoach Vineyards was started in 1975 by Cecil DeLoach, Christine DeLoach, Berle Beliz and Jack Fleming, and was one of the first wineries established in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California after Prohibition.The winery ran into financial difficulties in late 2001 due to over-expansion and poor market conditions. The winery's peak production was 250,000 cases. In May 2003, DeLoach Vineyards filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Boisset family of Burgundy, France purchased DeLoach in November 2003.In 2005 Cecil and Christine De Loach started a new winery, Hook & Ladder. In May 2005, Joe Anderson and Mary Dewane purchased Hartman Lane Vineyards and Winery, an 18-acre property and winery facility in the Russian River Valley AVA from Cecil De Loach, to start Benovia Winery.

Cooper's Sawmill is a California Historical Landmark located almost two miles north of Forestville, California, and is located in the jurisdiction of Santa Rosa, in the United States. It was the site of the first power-operated sawmill used for commercial purposes in California.
