The Mandau (Czech: Mandava) is a 40.9 km-long (25.4 mi) river in Bohemia (Czech Republic) and Saxony (Germany). It is a left tributary of the Lusatian Neisse, which it joins near Zittau. It originates from multiple springs north of the 580.6m (1902 feet AMSL) Wolf Mountain (Czech: Vlčí hora, German: Wolfsberg) in the Šluknov Hook, which join in Panský (German: Herrnwalde) at 1690 feet above sea level. Coming from Zahrady (German: Gärten) another stream joins in Nové Křečany (Neu Ehrenberg). From there the Mandau flows in a southeasterly direction through Rumburk (Rumburg; Bohemia), Seifhennersdorf (Saxony, Upper Lusatia) and Varnsdorf (Warnsdorf; Bohemia). Afterwards it flows eastwards through another part of Upper Lusatia in which the Lausur joins in Großschönau, from Hainewalde through the Roschertal to Mittelherwigsdorf, where the Landwasser joins, and finally it reaches Zittau where it flows east of the town 228 meters above sea level into the Lusatian Neisse.

Sieniawka [ɕɛˈɲafka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bogatynia, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech and German borders.It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) west of Bogatynia, 31 kilometres (19 mi) south of Zgorzelec, and 156 kilometres (97 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław. In the village there are two historic churches: the Immaculate Conception church and the Saint John the Baptist church. Also a hospital for the mentally ill is located in Sieniawka. During World War II, in 1944–1945, the Germans operated the FAL Zittau subcamp of the Gross-Rosen concentration camp in the village, whose prisoners were Jews, initially only women, and from February 1945 also men.

Kopaczów [kɔˈpat͡ʂuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bogatynia, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech and German borders.It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south-west of Bogatynia, 33 kilometres (21 mi) south of Zgorzelec, and 156 kilometres (97 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

The Kreuzkirche Zittau is a former church in Zittau, Saxony, Germany. The Gothic hall church, which has an unusual architecture, was used for funerals. It is now a museum, dedicated primarily to the presentation of a medieval textile, the Großes Zittauer Fastentuch.

Zittau (Upper Sorbian: Žitawa [ˈʒitawa]; Lower Sorbian: Žytawa [ˈʒɨtawa]; Polish: Żytawa; Czech: Žitava; Upper Lusatian dialect: Sitte) is the southeasternmost city in the German state of Saxony, and is located in the district of Görlitz, Germany's easternmost district. It has a population of around 25,000, and is one of the most important cities in the region of Lusatia (Upper Lusatia). The inner city of Zittau still shows its original beauty with many houses from several architectural periods: the famous town hall built in an Italian style, the church of St John and the stables (Salzhaus) with its medieval heritage. This multi-storied building is one of the oldest of its kind in Germany. Zittau is the birthplace of the German composer Heinrich Marschner.

The Neisse University is a trinational academic network held by the cooperating partners University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz, Technical University of Liberec and Wroclaw University of Technology. The places of study are located in the border triangle of Czech Republic, Poland and Germany, which are approximately 100 km apart.

Zittau station (German: Bahnhof Zittau) is a railway station in Zittau, Germany. The station is located on the Liberec–Zittau, Zittau–Löbau and Zittau–Hagenwerder standard gauge lines as well as it is one terminus of narrow gauge Zittau–Kurort Oybin/Kurort Jonsdorf railway. Until 1945 narrow gauge Zittau–Hermsdorf railway to today's Bogatynia in Poland and Heřmanice in the Czech Republic also began at Zittau station. The standard gauge parts of the station are operated by DB Station&Service (platforms) and DB Netz (tracks), narrow gauge parts by Saxon-Upper Lusatian Railway Company.

Hrádek nad Nisou (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦraːdɛk ˈnad ɲɪsou]; German: Grottau, Polish: Gródek nad Nysą) is a town in Liberec District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,900 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.

Löbau-Zittau (Sorbian languages: Lubij-Žitawa, pronounced [ˈlubʲij ˈʒitawa]) is a former Kreis (district) in the east of Saxony, Germany. Neighboring districts were the district Bautzen in the north-west and the Niederschlesischer Oberlausitzkreis in the north. To the east was Poland, and to the south the Czech Republic.

The Zittau–Oybin/Jonsdorf railway, or Zittau–Kurort Oybin/Kurort Jonsdorf narrow-gauge railway (German: Schmalspurbahn Zittau–Kurort Oybin/Kurort Jonsdorf), is a narrow-gauge railway system employing steam locomotives and serving the mountain health-spa resorts (German: Kurorte) of Oybin and Jonsdorf in the Zittau Mountains in southeast Saxony (Germany). The track gauge is 750 mm (2 ft 5+1⁄2 in).

Steinbruch Eckartsberg is a lake in Saxony, Germany. At an elevation of 280 m, its surface area is 0.6 ha.

Grabštejn (German: Grafenstein) is a castle in Chotyně in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. Originally a Gothic castle, it was rebuilt in the Renaissance style and later modified in the late Baroque and late Neoclassical styles. It belongs among the most important monuments of the Liberec Region.
