Davis Waldorf School

Davis Senior High School (known as Davis High or DHS or DSHS) is one of two high schools located in Davis, California, in the United States. DHS is a WASC accredited, 3-year, public comprehensive high school covering grades 10–12. The campus opened its current location in 1961; the previous high school location is now Davis City Hall. Enrollment for school year 2017–2018 was 1,749 students. The school's mascot is the Blue Devil, from the nickname for the popular WWI French Les Chasseurs Alpins Army Division.

Village Homes is a planned community in Davis, Yolo County, California. It is designed to be ecologically sustainable by harnessing the energies and natural resources that exist in the landscape, especially stormwater and solar energy.

The Baggins End Domes, also known as The Domes or the Davis Domes, are a student housing cooperative at the University of California, Davis built by students in 1972. They are part of the Sustainable Research Area which includes the Student Farm and the Experimental College Gardens. Inspired by Buckminster Fuller, there are 14 domes, featuring painted fiberglass-shell exteriors, the insides of which were coated with sprayed polyurethane foam, and "core-walls" with a kitchen on one side and a bathroom on the other. On January 25, 2011, an announcement was made by Student Housing that no new leases will be granted for the following academic year. The Sustainable Living/ Learning Task Force with faculty and students was initiated to investigate options. Domes residents, also known as Domies, ended up collaborating with the Solar Community Housing Association (SCHA) cooperative in Davis, California. SCHA and Domies raised money to repair the domes and lobbied the university to transfer management of the Domes to SCHA. A community build event was held on November 3–6, where hundreds of volunteers performed the majority of the work, which included creating wheelchair accessible pathways and gardens, building new railings, and patching foam.SCHA signed a ground lease with UC Davis at the end of December 2011, 14 new Domies moved into 7 of the domes at the start of January. The work was continued through July 2012.

The University Credit Union Center (previously known as Recreation Hall and The Pavilion at the ARC and commonly known as The Pavilion) is an 7,600-seat indoor multi-purpose stadium on the campus of the University of California, Davis in unincorporated Yolo County, California.

Dobbins Stadium is a baseball stadium in Davis, California. It is the home field of the UC Davis Aggies baseball team. The stadium holds 3,500 spectators and opened in 1986.

Aggie Soccer Field, also known as Aggie Field, is a 1,000 seat soccer stadium on the campus of the University of California, Davis, adjacent to Davis, California.Aggie Soccer Field was the result of volunteer efforts dating back to the mid-1980s, the same as the Dobbins Baseball Complex which is the home to UC Davis Aggies baseball.

Toomey Field is a track and field stadium in the western United States, located on the campus of the University of California, Davis in unincorporated Yolo County, California. The Woody Wilson Track is located in the stadium and it is home to the UC Davis Aggies track and field team.

The Davis Joint Unified School District is the school district for the city of Davis, California. The adjacent town of El Macero is also within the District. On July 1, 2016, John Bowes, who served mostly recently as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, will begin his appointment as superintendent.

The University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine is the largest veterinary school in the United States. Established in 1948, the school is the primary health resource for California's various animal populations. In 2020, the school was again ranked No. 1 in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and in 2022, ranked No. 2 in the world by QS World University Rankings. The school is located in the southwest corner of the main campus of the University of California, Davis. The current Dean of Veterinary Medicine is Dr. Mark Stetter. The School focuses on students of the professional Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, the Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine program, graduate clinical residency programs, and graduate academic MS and PhD programs. The School of Veterinary Medicine provides educational, research, clinical service, and public service programs to advance the health and care of animals, the health of the environment, and public health. The School addresses the health of all animals, including livestock, poultry, companion animals, captive and free-ranging wildlife, exotic animals, birds, aquatic mammals and fish, and animals used in biological and medical research. The School's expertise also encompasses related human health concerns, such as public health and the concept of One Health. The School runs 28 research and clinical programs, including clinical referral services; diagnostic testing services; continuing education; extension; and community outreach.

Located in the Sacramento Valley region of Northern California, the city had a population of 66,850 in 2020, not including the on-campus population of the University of California, Davis, which was over 9,400 (not including students' families) in 2016. As of 2019, there were 38,369 students enrolled at the university.

Yolo County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood. As of the 2020 census, the population was 216,403. Its county seat is Woodland.Yolo County is included in the Greater Sacramento metropolitan area and is located in the Sacramento Valley.
