Shibuya Scramble Crossing (渋谷スクランブル交差点, Shibuya sukuranburu kōsaten), or commonly known as Shibuya Crossing, is a popular scramble crossing in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It is located in front of the Shibuya Station Hachikō exit and stops vehicles in all directions to allow pedestrians to inundate the entire intersection. The statue of Hachikō, between the station and the intersection is a common meeting place and almost always crowded. Three large TV screens mounted on nearby buildings overlook the crossing, as well as many advertising signs. The Starbucks store overlooking the crossing is also one of the busiest in the world. Its heavy traffic and inundation of advertising have led to it being compared to the Times Square intersection in New York City and Piccadilly Circus intersection in London. Shibuya Crossing is the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing, with as many as 3,000 people crossing at a time. Tokyo-based architecture professor Shane Flynn has said Shibuya Crossing is "a great example of what Tokyo does best when it's not trying."

A statue of the Akita dog Hachikō, remembered for his unwavering loyalty to his deceased owner, is installed outside Tokyo's Shibuya Station, in Japan.

Center Gai (センター街 Sentā-gai) is a narrow street in Udagawachō (宇田川町), Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It is a popular area for youths as it has a variety of popular brand name stores, fast food outlets and nightclubs. Its name is meant to signify how it is the "center" of Shibuya. It can be reached from Shibuya Station. Center Gai originated as a road built over culverts spanning the River Udagawa. On June 20, 1997, as a result of strong winds from typhoon No.7 Opal (08W, Kuring) that had descended on the Kantō region, a 4-ton archway at the entrance to Center Gai collapsed, killing one man outright, and injuring several others.

Shibuya Station (渋谷駅, Shibuya-eki) is a railway station in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, operated jointly by East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Keio Corporation, Tokyu Corporation, and Tokyo Metro. With 2.4 million passengers on an average weekday in 2004, it is the fourth-busiest commuter rail station in Japan and the world (after Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, and Ōsaka / Umeda) handling a large amount of commuter traffic between the city center and suburbs to the south and west.

109 (Ichi-maru-kyū) is a department store in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. The store is operated by SHIBUYA109 Entertainment Corporation, a subsidiary of the Tokyu Group.

Shibuya Scramble Square (Japanese: 渋谷スクランブルスクエア Shibuya Sukuranburu Sukuea) is a mixed-use skyscraper connected to Shibuya Station in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It is part of a redevelopment of the station area. Located above Shibuya Station, the complex consists of three buildings, including an eastern building, Shibuya Scramble Square (229.71 m height), a central building (61 m height) and a western building (76 m height). Construction of the complex began in 2014 and is due to end in 2027, with an area of 276,000 m2. The eastern building of the complex, the Shibuya Scramble Square skyscraper, was completed in October 2019 and opened on November 1, 2019, with an area of 181,000 m2. Shibuya Scramble Square surpassed the Cerulean Tower in height and became the highest skyscraper in the district of Shibuya. The Shibuya Scramble Square underground floor is directly connected to Shibuya Station. An observation deck, “SHIBUYA SKY”, is located on the roof of the skyscraper. The complex includes shops, offices, an observation deck, and a parking area. The name "Shibuya Scramble Square" comes from the infamous pedestrian crossing located just few meters from the landmark, "The Scramble". This is the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world as people can walk in every direction, making it quick and accessible to reach every building near by Shibuya station.

Shibuya Mark City (株式会社渋谷マークシティ, Kabushiki-gaisha Shibuya Māku Shitī) is a facility located in Shibuya, Tokyo, owned by Shibuya Mark City company. There are two buildings, "East" (Hotel side) and "West" (Office side). It was built and opened on April 7, 2000, targeting mainly women, collaborating with Keio Corporation.

Shibuya (渋谷) is the namesake district of the ward of Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It is located in the southwest of central Tokyo on the east side of Shibuya Station. With numerous shops, offices and public facilities, it is one of the three large sub-centers (fuku-toshin) in western Tokyo alongside Shinjuku and Ikebukuro. It is divided into four numbered quarters, chôme, in which had total of 4,160 inhabitants in 2017. Colloquially, the districts to the west of the train station (Sakuragaokachō, Dōgenzaka, Udagawachō) known as the nightlife district are also counted as Shibuya.

The Shibuya Hikarie (Japanese: 渋谷ヒカリエ) is a Tokyu skyscraper and retail complex completed in 2012 and located in the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, Japan. The Hikarie is 183 meters tall. As of November 2013, it was tied for being the 52nd tallest skyscraper in Japan and 40th tallest building in Tokyo. The Hikarie features extensive use of LED lighting and displays and combines shopping/dining/entertainment in similar ways to the Roppongi Hills project. Its profile and significance are partially due to being immediately proximate to Shibuya Station, to which it is connected by both a 2nd-floor sky-walk and underground walkway. Although it does not yet have the same cultural significance as the 109 Building, it is a prime retail and office destination. The public access floors (floors 1 - 11) are marked by glass-walling, allowing for views across Shibuya and Tokyo. Shibuya Hikarie features retail sales and event space up to floor 11, at which point access is controlled to the theatre (11-16) and private office space (17-34). Clients include KDDI and a number of headquarters for media companies.

The Shibuya River (渋谷川, Shibuya-gawa) is a river which flows through central Tokyo, Japan. The river is 2.6 km in length originating close to Shibuya Station and passing through Shibuya and Minato wards before merging with the Furu River near Hiroo and flowing into Tokyo Bay near Shiba Koen. The Inner Circular Route is built above the lower course of the river. The Shibuya River banks are predominantly unlandscaped; the major tributary of the river, the Onden River, originates in Sendagaya and passes largely unnoticed directly under Cat Street in the heart of Ura-Harajuku. The Onden River merges with the Uda River in central Shibuya forming the Shibuya River which then flows directly under Shibuya Station as a covered concrete drain.Redevelopment plans for Shibuya Station include the prospect of a more accessible Shibuya River with landscaping and pedestrian access.

The Cerulean Tower (セルリアンタワー, Serurian Tawā) is a skyscraper in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It was completed in 2001, and was built using empty lots formerly occupied by the headquarters of Tokyu Corporation. It is 184 metres tall and has 41 floors as well as 6 underground floors. The building covers a total ground area of 106,000 m². It was the tallest building in the Shibuya station area until the opening of Shibuya Scramble Square in 2019. The two main materials used in the building's construction were glass and steel. The Tower has both office space and a hotel, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel.

Shibuya Stream (Japanese: 渋谷ストリーム) is a skyscraper and retail complex completed in 2018 in the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, Japan. The building is located in the space vacated when the Tōkyū Tōyoko Line terminal in Shibuya was relocated underground in 2013. Shibuya Stream hosts Google's Japan head office as well as the Excel Tokyu Shibuya Stream hotel.
