Nassau station

The Arthur Kill station is a station on the Staten Island Railway (SIR). The station opened on January 21, 2017, replacing the Atlantic and Nassau stations, which were the two stations in the poorest condition along the line at the time. It is located on Arthur Kill Road near Lion Street and Barnard Avenue, in the Tottenville neighborhood of Staten Island, New York. It has two tracks and two side platforms, and is ADA-accessible via ramps.

Atlantic was a Staten Island Railway station in the neighborhood of Tottenville, Staten Island, New York. With the condition of the station having deteriorated after the 1990s, this station, and the Nassau station to the north, were replaced by a new station at Arthur Kill Road. When that station opened in January 2017, Atlantic station closed and subsequently demolished.

New York Central Railroad Tugboat 13 was a railway tugboat built in 1887 in Camden, New Jersey by John H. Dialogue and Son. The tugboat was built for the New York Central Railroad to push barges, called car floats, carrying railroad cars and other freight across the waterways of New York Harbor. It originally had a steam engine of 232 horsepower (173 kW), replaced with two General Motors 6-110 diesel engines in the 1950s. The engines sat back-to-back and drove a central Falk gearbox, which turned the single propeller. The hull was riveted and made of wrought iron. After 2002, the tugboat underwent extensive renovation at Garpo Marine in Tottenville, Staten Island. Two new keel coolers from Fernstrum were installed in a recessed box in the hull to cool the engines. Efforts to restore the ship seemingly failed in the intervening years, and she was scrapped in 2017 in Tottenville.

Richmond Valley is the name of a neighborhood located on the South Shore of Staten Island, one of the five boroughs of New York City, the largest city in the United States. Richmond Valley is bordered on the north by Pleasant Plains, to the south by Tottenville, to the west by the Arthur Kill, and to the east by the Lower New York Bay. Once considered part of Tottenville, Richmond Valley gained a separate identity when the Richmond Valley (Staten Island Railway station) was opened soon after the railroad was extended to Tottenville in 1860. Today the neighborhood is noted chiefly for being the site of the terminus, on the Staten Island side, of the Outerbridge Crossing, which connects the island to Perth Amboy, New Jersey, across the Arthur Kill. The neighborhood is represented in the New York State Senate by Andrew Lanza, in the New York State Assembly by Michael Reilly, and in the New York City Council by Joseph Borelli. All three are members of the Republican Party.

The Richmond Valley station is a Staten Island Railway station in the neighborhood of Richmond Valley, Staten Island, New York. Located at Richmond Valley Road and Amboy Road on the main line, the station is a mixture of open cut (below grade level) at the north end and grade level at the south end.

The Church of Our Lady Help of Christians is a parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York City. The church was established in 1890 as a mission of St. Joseph's Church (Rossville) and became an independent parish in 1898. Its first church building was constructed later that year. It burned down in 1985 and was rebuilt in 1990.Social activist Dorothy Day, now a candidate for sainthood, converted to Catholicism with her conditional baptism at Our Lady Help of Christians in 1927.

Totten Intermediate School 34, also known as I.S.34, is a Junior High School located in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York. This school serves grades 6-8. This school's building was formerly Tottenville High School from 1936 until 1972 when Tottenville High School was relocated to Huguenot, Staten Island. The building has been renamed "Totten" and has 3 Floors and a basement. The school has a Library, 2 Stem Labs, a Boys' Gym, a Girls' Gym, and various classrooms. The school also has an honors program. Totten Intermediate School 34 is located in New York City Public School District 31.

Long Pond Park is a park preserve on the South Shore of Staten Island, New York City. It is approximately 115 acres (0.47 km2) in size and consists mainly of woodlands and wetlands that surround Long Pond, for which the park is named. Long Pond Park is roughly bounded by Hylan Boulevard on the south, Page Avenue on the west, Amboy Road on the north, and Richard Avenue on the east. It is an important stopping point for migrating birds in the Atlantic Flyway. The majority of parkland was created in 1997 when the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation acquired 90 acres (36 ha) of land surrounding Long Pond. Another Sixteen acres (6.5 ha) were added in 2001 and 1.6 acres (0.65 ha) were added in 2006. In addition to serving as a nature preserve, Long Pond Park also forms part of the Staten Island Bluebelt, a stormwater drainage system.

The Outerbridge Crossing, also known as the Outerbridge, is a cantilever bridge that spans the Arthur Kill between Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and Staten Island, New York. It carries New York State Route 440 and New Jersey Route 440, with the two roads connecting at the state border near the bridge's center. The Outerbridge Crossing is one of three vehicular bridges connecting New Jersey with Staten Island, and like the others, is maintained and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The others are the Bayonne Bridge (also carrying Route 440), which connects Staten Island with Bayonne, and the Goethals Bridge (carrying I-278, which connects the island with Elizabeth).

Arthur Kill Terminal is a proposed purpose-built offshore wind port on the Arthur Kill on the west shore of Staten Island, New York. It is intended to be a wind turbine assembly and staging area for various offshore wind farms in the New York Bight. It is planned to be located on 32 acres (13 ha) just south of the Outerbridge Crossing. The site, which would allow for the docking of heavy-lift ships, is not hindered by air draft restrictions since there is no bridge downstream of the facility.

Tottenville is a neighborhood on the South Shore of Staten Island, New York City. It is the southernmost settlement in both New York City and New York State, as well as the westernmost in New York City. Tottenville is bounded on three sides by water: the south side abuts the New York Bight while the west and north sides are bordered by the Arthur Kill. Nassau Place, Bethel Avenue and Page Avenue form the neighborhood's eastern border. The settlement was originally named Bentley Manor by one of its first settlers, Captain Christopher Billop (1638–1726), a member of the Royal Navy, after his own ship. In 1869 it was renamed as Tottenville after John Totten and his prominent local family of that name, some of whom served as Loyalists under Billop during the American Revolutionary War. Tottenville is part of Staten Island Community District 3 and its ZIP Code is 10307 (formerly "Staten Island 7, New York"). Tottenville is patrolled by the 123rd Precinct of the New York City Police Department. Tottenville has been represented in the New York State Senate by Andrew Lanza since 2007. It is represented in the New York State Assembly by Michael Reilly.

Kreischer House, also known as Kreischer Mansion, is a historic home located at Charleston, Staten Island, New York City. Built by German immigrant Balthasar Kreischer about 1885, it is a large, asymmetrically massed 2+1⁄2-story, wood-frame house in the American Queen Anne style. The rectangular house features spacious verandas, gables with jigsaw bargeboards, decorative railings, posts and brackets, tall chimneys, and a corner tower. It was one of two mansions built by Kreischer for his sons. The surviving house belonged to son Edward Kreischer; the other one had been his brother Charles's. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
