Cheney School is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Headington, Oxford, England. It serves the Headington and East Oxford area as a destination for students from primary schools across the city. Rupert Moreton, was appointed as head teacher in 2017, replacing Jolie Kirby who now heads the Community School Alliance Trust, the multi-academy trust that runs Cheney. He was replaced in 2020 by Rob Pavey.

The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD, previously known as The Spirit of TOAD) is the first ever legal distillery in Oxford, England. It is the first certified organic "grain-to-glass" distillery in the United Kingdom, covering all parts of the distillery process.The distillery is located at the top end of South Park, Headington, in the Old Depot of Oxford City Council at the former Cheney Farm. It was founded in 2017 by Tom Nicolson, Cory Mason, and Tagore Ramoutar, distilling rye whisky, gin, and vodka. Shares were offered to the public in 2017.Four organic farms close to Oxford supply the distillery with rye, wheat, and barley. The distillery uses ancient species of grains. The largest still at the distillery is nicknamed "Nautilus" and has a capacity of 2,400 litres, with a column of 42 plates in two parts. A smaller still with a 500-litre capacity is known as "Nemo". The stills are named after the submarine and its captain in the Jules Verne 1870 science fiction novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas. Both were built by South Devon Railway Engineering and are in a steampunk style, made of copper. TOAD's gin has been judged among the top hundred available. The distillery is a craft gin maker. Early in 2020, Dave Smith took over as chairman from Neil Brown. Later in 2020, the distillery attained organic certification. The distillery was shortlisted for the Sustainable Use of Raw Materials Award in the 2019 Footprint Drinks Sustainability Awards. The distillery's products were judged as among the best food and drink from Oxfordshire in 2020. The distillery produces its own Oxford Rye Organic Dry Gin and Oxford Rye Organic Vodka. The distillery also uses its dry gin to produce a Dam Sloe Gin made from wild damsons and sloe. In 2018, the distillery launched its Oxford Physic Gin in collaboration with the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, using ingredients grown in the garden, and sold at the garden. Later in 2018, an Ashmolean Dry Gin was launed in collection with the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, featuring spices from the Middle East and Asia to reflect the museums collections. Early in 2020, the distillery started to produce a pink gin liqueur. With the coming of the COVID-19 pandemic, the distillery also started to produce its own hand sanitiser in 2020. Also in 2020, the distillery started to produce an organic gin for Prince Charles, using herbs from his garden at Highgrove House, stocked at Fortnum & Mason in London. In Spring 2021, the distillery launched its rye whisky, produced by the Portuguese master distiller, Chico Rosa. The distillery includes a Grade II listed barn building, listed in 1972 and now used as a bar and tasting room serving the distillery's products.

Headington Hill is a hill in the east of Oxford, England, in the suburb of Headington. The Headington Road goes up the hill leading out of the city. There are good views of the spires of Oxford from the hill, especially from the top of South Park. Between 1644 and 1646, Headington Hill was used by the Parliamentarian forces while besieging Oxford during the First English Civil War. Headington Hill Hall, built in 1824 for the Morrell family (local brewers), stands on the hill, and is now the home of Oxford Brookes University's School of Law.

The road is on a hill sloping southwest. The road includes detached, semi-detached, and terraced houses. Divinity Road Area Residents’ Association (DRARA) is a residents' association in the local area around Divinity Road. The Beeches, student accommodation of Linacre College, Oxford, is located in Divinity Road. Lily van den Broecke, a gold medalist in the mixed coxed fours event on Dorney Lake at the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games, was a resident of the road in 2012, so a post box in the road was painted gold in her honour. Divinity Road features in the book The Rocktastic Corduroy Peach by Michael Amos.

Rye St Antony School is an independent Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 3 to 18 years and boys aged 3 to 11 years in Headington, Oxford, England. The school's name is commonly abbreviated and referred to by both pupils and staff as 'Rye'. Rye is unique as a girls' independent Catholic school due to the fact that it was founded by two women rather than by a religious order. In 2024, it will be merging with Headington Girls School to become a new school, named "Headington Rye Oxford".

Pullens Lane (a.k.a. Pullen's Lane) is in Headington, east Oxford, England. It is located at the top of Headington Hill, leading north off Headington Road to Jack Straw's Lane and Harberton Mead. The cul-de-sac Pullens Field (a.k.a. Pullen's Field, named in 1972) leads off west from Pullens Lane.

Warneford Meadow is an area of 20 acres (8.1 ha) of natural grassland immediately south-east of the Warneford Hospital, in Headington, east Oxford, England. The Warneford Meadow is a wild space within urban Oxford. The area has been used by local residents as a public space for recreation for over 50 years.

The Vines is on Pullens Lane, Headington, a suburb in east Oxford, England. It was the first house to be built on the west side of the lane, on land that was originally owned by the Morrell family, local brewers. The house is built of red brick with stone dressings. The house was built in 1889–90 for Professor Sydney Howard Vines (1849–1934). It was designed by the Victorian architect Harry Wilkinson Moore (1850–1915). In 1923, it became known as The Vineyard, after the first owner, Professor Vines. In 1948, the Vineyard was purchased by the United Oxford Hospitals, who renamed it to be Pollock House after its last owner. From 1948 to 1956, it was used as the Nurses Training School of the then Wingfield-Morris Orthopaedic Hospital, now the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. From 1958 till around 1976, it was used as the hospital's Night Nurses' Home. Subsequently, it was part of Oxford Brookes University until 2004. The house was renamed to The Vines, is now occupied by Scholarship & Christianity in Oxford (SCIO), the United Kingdom centre of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). Close by, also in Pullens Lane, is Cotuit Hall, part of EF International Academy and previously one of the halls of residence at Oxford Brookes University. This was designed by the same architect, H. W. Moore, and built in 1892. In the past, it was known as Napier House.

Brookes Union (also known officially as Oxford Brookes Students' Union) is a union representing students at Oxford Brookes University. The union offers a range of services for students; it hosts a number of student societies, an advice service and a system of student representation. The union-run Morals bar was open from 1992 until it closed in 2012 when, as part of a university redevelopment, the union moved to Gipsy Lane Campus (and occupied part of the new John Henry Brookes building). In 2012, it scored one of the lowest satisfaction rates in the National Student Survey but has since improved somewhat.
