Bordesley Abbey was a 12th-century Cistercian abbey near the town of Redditch, in Worcestershire, England. The abbey's foundation was an act of Waleran de Beaumont, Count of Meulan, who gave the monks of Garendon Abbey in Leicestershire some more land. However, Empress Matilda laid claim to the patronage of Bordesley once Waleran surrendered to her in about 1141, thus making Bordesley a royal house. Bordesley Abbey was once an important local ecclesiastical centre, holding political control of the ancient township of Tardebigge. It was demolished by Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries in 1538 and the property was sold. The ruins are now an archaeological site, undergoing investigation since 1969 by the University of Reading's Bordesley Abbey Project. Many of the excavated items can be seen in a visitor centre and museum at the site, which is joined with the Forge Mill Needle Museum. Guy de Beauchamp, 10th Earl of Warwick, was buried in the Abbey.

Alvechurch Church of England Middle School (formerly 'Alvechurch Church of England Primary School') is a coeducational Church of England middle school located in the village of Alvechurch in Worcestershire, England. As of 2020 it had around 430 pupils from ages 9 to 13. Pupils from Alvechurch Middle School tend to feed into either South Bromsgrove High School or North Bromsgrove High School. Previously a voluntary controlled school administered by Worcestershire County Council, in April 2017 Alvechurch Church of England Middle School converted to academy status. The school is part of the same building as the Alvechurch Public Library.

Alvechurch ( ALV-church) is a large village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove district in northeast Worcestershire, England, in the valley of the River Arrow. The Lickey Hills Country Park is 2.5 miles (4 km) to the northwest. It is 11 miles (18 kilometres) south of Birmingham, 5 mi (8 km) north of Redditch and 6 mi (10 km) east of Bromsgrove. At the 2001 Census, the population was 5,316.

The Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch, Worcestershire, is a historic museum depicting Redditch's Industrial Heritage. Opened in 1983 by Queen Elizabeth II, it records how in Victorian times, Redditch was the international centre of the needle and fishing tackle industry and once produced 90% of the world's needles. Models and recreated scenes provide a vivid illustration of how needles were once made, and the museum organises exhibitions, demonstration, and workshops on how needles were used in the textile industry. Forge Mill Museum is open to visitors from February to November. It is near to the ruins of Bordesley Abbey.

Alvechurch railway station serves the village of Alvechurch in North Worcestershire, England. It is on the Cross-City Line 11+1⁄4 miles (18 km) southwest of Birmingham New Street. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by West Midlands Trains. The station itself is an unstaffed station. Originally a single platform station on a single-track line, a second platform was added during 2014, when a new passing loop was constructed on the line through the station, in order to allow a more frequent service.

Hopwood is a small settlement in Worcestershire, located south of Birmingham, England on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. The settlement is developed around an inn, where users of the canal would have broken their journey.
