Lledrod

Rhyd-lwyd is a small village in the community of Lledrod, Ceredigion, Wales, which is 67.4 miles (108.5 km) from Cardiff and 173.8 miles (279.6 km) from London. Rhyd-lwyd is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

The Dyfi Biosphere (Welsh: Biosffer Dyfi) is situated at the coast of south-central Wales in the estuary of the River Dyfi, and is a biosphere reserve representative of salt marshes and estuarine systems in the west of the United Kingdom. The estuary forms one of the most important wildfowl and shorebird centres in Wales and also comprises a Ramsar site. Cors Fochno has a large expanse of primary raised mire and contains a high number of invertebrate species, including some of national and international importance. Upstream along the Dyfi Valley are remnants of native oak woodland. The site was declared in 1977, and covers an area of 1,589 hectares.

Gaer Fawr is an Iron Age hill fort located near Llanilar, Ceredigion, Wales; the Ordnance Survey grid reference is SN648718. The fort is registered with Cadw under reference number CD050. There are approximately 300 of these forts on the Cadw list, although archaeologists note that there are about 570 of them in Wales.

Bronant is a hamlet in the county of Ceredigion, mid Wales. It lies on the A485 road which runs north from Tregaron to Llanilar and falls within the community of Lledrod. The Cors Caron national nature reserve lies three miles to the southeast. Also of note is the Roman road of Sarn Helen which passes to the east of the hamlet. It is known to geologists as it gives its name to the Bronnant Fault.

Hendre-Rhys is represented in the Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and is part of the Ceredigion constituency in the House of Commons.

Trawscoed railway station was located on the Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Line (originally called the Manchester and Milford Railway before being transferred to the GWR). The station had a signal box on the single platform, a weighing machine, several sidings, and a corrugated iron waiting room and ticket office combined. The estate of Trawsgoed is located nearby.

Coed y Crychydd is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Ceredigion, west Wales. It is a moderately steep, north facing wood, featuring mainly ancient semi-natural woodland overlooking the Ystwyth Valley, managed by the Woodland Trust since 1980. The site support a variety of birds, including red kite, buzzard, raven and heron.

Felindyffryn Halt was located on the Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Line, originally called the Manchester and Milford Railway, before being transferred to the Great Western Railway (GWR).

Abermagwr is a small settlement in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. It is on the B4340 road and is 11 kilometres (7 mi) southeast of the town of Aberystwyth.

Trawsgoed (Welsh for "Crosswood") is both a community and an estate in Ceredigion, Wales. The estate is 8 miles (13 km) southeast of Aberystwyth, and has been in the possession of the Vaughan family since 1200. The Vaughans are descended from Collwyn ap Tangno, founder of the fifth noble tribe of North Wales, Lord of Eifionydd, Ardudwy, and part of Llŷn, who had his residence on the site of Harlech Castle.The land falls within the ancient parish of Llanafan, in the upper division of the hundred of Ilar. In Wales, an ancient parish was a village or group of villages or hamlets and the adjacent lands. Originally they held ecclesiastical functions, but from the sixteenth century they also acquired civil roles. The parish may have been established as an ecclesiastical parish. Originally a medieval administrative unit, after 1597 ecclesiastical units were separated from civil parishes to serve the ecclesiastical needs of the local community. The Trawsgoed estate extended over 22 Cardiganshire parishes, including Llanafan. The community of Trawsgoed has a population of 989 (2011) and includes the villages of Llanafan, Y Gors and Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn.

Llanilar (Welsh pronunciation: [ɬanˈɪlar]) is a village and community in Ceredigion, Wales, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) southeast of Aberystwyth. It is the eponym of the hundred of Ilar. The population at the 2011 census was 1,085. The community includes Rhos-y-garth.
