Carpenter Hill

KSTV-LD (channel 32) is a low-power television station in Sacramento, California, United States owned by Lazer Broadcasting, the company's sole television station. Currently, the station is dark as it searches for a new transmission site and network affiliation.

KLVB (99.5 FM) is a radio station serving the Sacramento metropolitan area with the contemporary Christian format K-Love. It is owned and operated by the Educational Media Foundation, based in nearby Rocklin, California. EMF re-launched KLVS in mid-April 2008 to serve the Sacramento area after moving the station in from Grass Valley, but on May 28, it went silent after the Federal Aviation Administration voiced concern over the new 358-foot radio tower the station built in El Dorado Hills. Although the tower had all the necessary approvals from the FCC, the FAA said those approvals should not have been given without its input. EMF has worked out the technical issues and returned now KLVB to the air in July 2012.

Vista Del Lago High School is a high school located in Folsom, California. It is one of five high schools in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. The school opened in 2007 to serve the southern side of Folsom and to relieve overcrowding at Folsom High School. The official school colors are navy blue and silver. It is one of the only schools in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District to use block scheduling. The mascot is the eagle. Vista del Lago's first class graduated in May 2010. The 2009-10 school year was the first to include all grade levels (9-12). The prior year's (2008–09) enrollment was 951 students, with grades 9-11. The 2007-08 school year included only grades 9 and 10.

Folsom Lake College (FLC) is a public community college in Folsom, California. It is part of California Community Colleges system and the Los Rios Community College District. Folsom Lake College serves the community with classes offered at its main Folsom campus at 10 College Parkway, two outreach centers (the El Dorado Center in Placerville and the Rancho Cordova Center), and various off-site locations nearby. As of Fall 2005, Folsom Lake College enrolled approximately 6,600 students choosing among approximately 1,000 different course offerings. Those students were served by 74 full-time faculty, including 9 counselors, 180 part-time faculty, 69 classified staff, and eight administrators. The college offers students over 30 different Associate of Arts or Science degree options, as well as over 30 certificate alternatives. The college's mascot is the Falcons and its colors are teal and black. The current president is Whitney Yamamura who began in 2017.

El Dorado Hills (El Dorado, Spanish for "The Golden") is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in El Dorado County, California. Located in the Greater Sacramento region of Northern California, it had a population of 50,547 at the 2020 census, up from 42,108 at the 2010 census.

On the night of June 11, 2009, Joanne Witt was murdered by her teenage daughter Tylar and Tylar's boyfriend Steven "Boston" Colver, one or both of whom stabbed Witt 20 times on the upper half of her body. Witt was murdered because she had objected to their relationship as Tylar was only 14, while Colver was 19. When Witt missed two days of work without calling, her supervisor called both law enforcement and Witt's parents. Sheriff's deputies met the parents at Witt's home in El Dorado Hills, California, where they discovered the body. Tylar and Colver were arrested in San Bruno, California, several days later. Two years after the murder, Tylar pled guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Colver was tried and convicted of first degree murder and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. On August 26, 2022, Tylar Witt was granted parole.

Mormon Tavern is a former hotel, saloon and stage stop in El Dorado County, California. It was located on the emigrant road 0.5 miles (0.80 km) west of Clarksville.The place was founded in 1848 or 49 by a mormon named Morgan. It served as a stop on the Pony Express from 1860 to 1861. There is no certain account of how the place got its name, which is quite incongruous: Mormons (Latter Day Saints) typically don't drink alcohol (as would be served in a tavern). The site is now registered as California Historical Landmark #699.

Oak Ridge High School is a public high school in El Dorado Hills, California, United States, 20 miles (32 km) east of Sacramento. It is part of the El Dorado Union High School District. Oak Ridge High School was established in 1980 with 222 students. As of the 2019–20 school year, Oak Ridge High School had 2,470 students. The school's principal is Aaron Palm.

Clarksville (Tong Ranch) is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California. It is located 14 miles (23 km) west-southwest of Placerville, at an elevation of 676 feet (206 m).Clarksville was established during the California gold rush and at one point had over a thousand residents and several businesses. By 1931 only twenty residents remained. Little remains today, but the Clarksville Heritage Society preserves the town's history.A post office operated at Clarksville from 1855 to 1924 and from 1927 to 1934.
