Taguig (Tagalog: [taˈɡiɡ]), officially the City of Taguig (Filipino: Lungsod ng Taguig), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in Metro Manila, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 886,722 people.  Located in the northwestern shores of Laguna de Bay, the city is known for Bonifacio Global City, one of the leading financial centers of the Philippines. Originally a fishing village during the Spanish and American colonial periods, it experienced rapid growth when former military reservations were converted by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) into mixed-use planned communities. Taguig became a highly urbanized city with the passage of Republic Act No. 8487 in 2004. The city is politically subdivided into 28 barangays: Bagumbayan, Bambang, Calzada, Central Bicutan, Central Signal Village, Fort Bonifacio, Hagonoy, Ibayo Tipas, Katuparan, Ligid Tipas, Lower Bicutan, Maharlika Village, Napindan, New Lower Bicutan, North Daang Hari, North Signal Village, Palingon Tipas, Pinagsama, San Miguel, Santa Ana, South Daang Hari, South Signal Village, Tanyag, Tuktukan, Ususan, Upper Bicutan, Wawa, and Western Bicutan. The city is also divided into two legislative districts: Pateros & Taguig (which includes the Municipality of Pateros) and Taguig, for its representation in the Congress and the election of city council members.

In designing the mall, Megaworld consulted the Rome-based architectural firm Paolo Marioni Architetto to ensure that the Venice Grand Canal Mall stays true to its Venetian inspiration.Highlighting the mall is the man-made Grand Canal. The mall's grand canal offers mall guests an Italian experience with gondola ride tours by singing gondoliers. The canal is 200 meters (660 ft) long, and 15 meters (49 ft) wide. The gondolas are stationed underneath the Rialto Bridge replica. The mall also has replicas of St. Mark's Campanile in Piazza San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, which is inspired by the famous bridge in Venice and the Ponte de Amore Bridge, where mallgoers can participate at the mall's love locks installation.

Fort Bonifacio is one of the 28 barangays of Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The financial district of Bonifacio Global City, the Fort Bonifacio military camp and the Manila American Cemetery are under the jurisdiction of the barangay.

Pinagsama (Tagalog: [pinag'sama] lit. 'Combined'), is an administrative division in Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is an urban barangay located in the western portion of Taguig City. From a thriving community of mixed residential and commercial developments along Circumferential Road 5 (C5), the area has become an important residential, commercial and industrial center in Taguig, and is the second most populated barangay in the city.The McKinley Hill development adjacent to Bonifacio Global City can be found in the barangay, as well as the Arca South mixed-use development. It is bordered by the barangays of Fort Bonifacio to the north, Central Signal Village to the southeast, North Signal Village to the east, Ususan on the northeast and Western Bicutan on the west and southwest. Pinagsama Creek, a tributary of the Taguig River cuts through the northern half of Pinagsama and Ususan.

Western Bicutan is one of the 28 barangays of Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is the city's most populated barangay and the largest in terms of land area. It is located in the northwestern part of the city. Arca South, Food Terminal Inc., Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig, the southern portion of Naval Station Jose Francisco, Philippine Navy Golf Club, AFPOVAI, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Taguig-Pateros District Hospital, Veterans Museum, and TESDA headquarters are located in the barangay.

Fort Andres Bonifacio (formerly named Fort William McKinley) is the site of the national headquarters of the Philippine Army (Headquarters Philippine Army or HPA) located in Metro Manila, Philippines. The camp is named after Andres Bonifacio, the revolutionary leader of the Katipunan during the Philippine Revolution. It is located near Villamor Air Base, the national headquarters of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

The Fort Bonifacio Tenement (FB Tenement), also known as the Diosdado Macapagal Tenement Housing, Western Bicutan Tenement or simply as The Tenement is a residential building in Western Bicutan in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is known for its central basketball court known as Tenement Court which often serves as a medium for murals and exhibitions.

McKinley Hill Stadium is a 2,000-seater football stadium at McKinley Hill in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Lawton Avenue, also known as the Fort Bonifacio–Nichols Field Road, is the main road in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It follows a part of the alignment of the old Nichols route running roughly southwest to northeast from Sales Interchange to 5th Avenue and the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial. It was named after Henry Ware Lawton, a US Army general killed during the Philippine–American War.

FTI station (also called Food Terminal Junction station) is a railway station located on the South Main Line in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is named after its major landmark, the grounds of the formerly state-owned Food Terminal, Inc. which is now renamed as Arca South. The station is the thirteenth station from Tutuban and is one of two stations serving Taguig, the other station being Nichols. The station was opened on January 19, 1977 as Food Terminal Junction station, replacing the now-defunct Balagbag station that was located few meters northwest. In 2018, PNR extended the North Shuttle Line southwards from Dela Rosa to FTI as its new terminus, effectively starting on September 10, while northwards from Caloocan to Governor Pascual started on December 3.

The Metro Manila Skyway, officially the Metro Manila Skyway System (MMSS) or simply the Skyway, is an elevated highway which is the main expressway in Metro Manila, Philippines. It connects the North and South Luzon Expressways (NLEX and SLEX) with access to Ninoy Aquino International Airport via the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX). It is the first fully grade-separated highway in the Philippines and one of the longest elevated highways in the world, with a total length of approximately 39.2 kilometers (24.4 mi). The expressway runs above major existing highways in Metro Manila and the San Juan River. It passes through the highly urbanized areas of Caloocan, Quezon City, Manila, Makati, Pasay, Taguig, Parañaque, and Muntinlupa, easing congestion on other major thoroughfares. The Skyway is accessible to Class 1 vehicles, such as cars, vans, motorcycles above 400 cc (24 cu in), pick-up trucks, and SUVs, and Class 2 vehicles and public utility vehicles (PUVs). Previously, Class 2 vehicles and PUVs were banned due to the construction of the extension project.
