Hapgood-Hume Company was a Salmon cannery and now a historical site in West Sacramento, California in Yolo County. The site of the former Hapgood-Hume Company is a California Historical Landmark No. 1040 listed on April 1, 2009. The Hapgood-Hume Company was the First Pacific Coast Salmon Cannery founded on April 1, 1864, on the Sacramento River, closed in 1873 in Washington state. The site of the Hapgood-Hume Company was a National Register of Historic Places, #66000938, from April 6, 1964, to July 14, 2004. The Hapgood-Hume Company was formed by Robert Deniston Hume, William Hume, John Hume, and George Hume, with a friend Andrew Hapgood. All of founders of the company came from Maine. Hapgood had been a tinsmith and a fisherman in Maine, arriving in California in 1864.

The Ziggurat is a ten-story, stepped pyramidal office building and adjacent five-story concrete parking structure located at 707 3rd Street in West Sacramento, California, on the shore of the Sacramento River. Designed by Sacramento architect Edwin Kado to resemble the ancient Mesopotamian ziggurats, the building was built by the Money Store in 1997. Since 2001 it has been leased by the California Department of General Services (DGS) as its headquarters.Located on more than 7 acres (28,000 m2) adjacent to the Tower Bridge, the unusually designed office building contains more than 373,725 square feet (35,000 m2) of usable office area.

Delta King is a 285-foot-long sternwheel steamboat (87 m) and the sister ship of Delta Queen, built in Scotland and California for the California Transportation Company's service between Sacramento and San Francisco, California. She entered service in 1927 and continued until 1940. After wartime service with the United States Navy, Delta King served as an accommodation ship at Kitimat, British Columbia in the 1950s and then returned to California for static use at Old Sacramento where she remains as a hotel, restaurant and venue.

The I Street Bridge is a historic metal truss swing bridge which crosses the Sacramento River to link the capital city of Sacramento, California, with Yolo County to the west. Built in 1911, this historic bridge has a vertical clearance of 14 feet 8 inches (4.47 m) and was originally part of State Route 16. It also carries two walkways; one on either side of the roadway. The lower level of the bridge provides rail access to Sacramento from points south and west; the upper level provides highway access. It was built to replace an 1867 timber Howe truss swing span bridge, which also carried both railroad and road traffic.

The Tower Bridge is a vertical lift bridge across the Sacramento River, linking West Sacramento in Yolo County to the west, with the capital of California, Sacramento, in Sacramento County to the east. It has also been known as M Street Bridge. It was previously a part of U.S. Route 40 until that highway was truncated to east of Salt Lake City as well as US Route 99W, which served the western portion of the Sacramento Valley from Sacramento to Red Bluff. The bridge is maintained by the California Department of Transportation as part of State Route 275 and connects West Capitol Avenue and Tower Bridge Gateway in West Sacramento with the Capitol Mall in Sacramento. In 1982, the Tower Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

What Cheer House, also at times called the Sackett Hotel and Grand Hotel, is a historical building in Sacramento, California. What Cheer House is a California Historical Landmark No. 597 listed on May 22, 1957. The What Cheer House was first used as hotel, the Sackett Hotel. The What Cheer House was used for the California State offices in 1855. In the 1870s it was called the Grand Hotel. The What Cheer House is at the southeast corner of Front Street and K Street in Old Sacramento.The What Cheer House supported the California Gold Rush Pioneers, it was built near the Sacramento waterfront and Central Pacific Railroad station. A Pioneer greeting was what cheer, partner?!, thus the What Cheer House name. After the California State offices moved out the What Cheer House became a warehouse for the Sacramento waterfront shipping. Since the What Cheer House has been: Stage Nine Entertainment Store, G.Willikers Toy Emporium, The Vault, California Clothiers, and the Old Fashioned Candy and Confectionery. The City of Sacramento had a 13-year program in the 1860s and 1870s, to raise the buildings and streets in Sacramento to stop the flooding problem in the city, like the Great Flood of 1862. The What Cheer House was raised 15 feet, stopping flooding by the Sacramento River and American River. By the later 1940s and early 1950s What Cheer House was showing her age due to lack of renovation. By 1965 the City of Sacramento set up a plan to renovated and modernize not only the What Cheer House, but much of Old Sacramento. Stage Nine Entertainment, Inc. purchased the What Cheer House in the 1990s.

Booth Company Building is historical building in Sacramento, California. The Booth Company Building is a California Historical Landmark No. 607. The Booth Company Building Building is located at 1019–1021 Front Street in Old Sacramento State Historic Park. Booth Company was opened by lawyer Newton Booth as wholesale grocery store and general store. Booth has a platform built on the roof of the building. With the platform he had empployees signal ships coming into Port of Sacramento, so he could get a jump ahead of his competitors in buying goods for his store. A historical plaque was placed in front of the Booth Company by the Native Sons of the Golden West.Newton Booth (1825–1892) became a politician, he became 11th Governor of California from December 8, 1871, to February 27, 1875. Then an United States Senator from California from March 4, 1875, to March 3, 1881. Booth's Inaugural Ball as governor of California was held in the ballroom on the second floor of the Booth Company Building. The Booth Company Building was used as the Booth's Governor's Mansion. The next Governor's Mansion is now the Governor's Mansion State Historic Park. After serving in United States Congress, he returned to his wholesale store in Sacramento. Part of the Building was rented to George W. Chesley also a wholesale grocer till 1891.

The building is a California Historical Landmark No. 604 listed on May 22, 1957. The three-story brick Sam Brannan House is at 112 J Street, Sacramento in Old Sacramento State Historic Park.

The Eagle Theatre in Gold Rush-era Sacramento was the first permanent theatre to be built in the state of California. Established in 1849 this relatively small structure was originally wood-framed and canvas-covered with a tin roof and a packed earth floor. The theatre was flooded on Jan 4, 1850. Located at 925 Front Street, it was one of the earliest structures in the new city. It featured many different types of entertainment for a rough crowd of wild west pioneers and gold miners from the small but rapidly growing area. Tickets to the theater could be obtained at a nearby saloon for two dollars and three dollars, most likely the Round Tent Saloon then located just to the south of the theatre.Today the theatre is owned by California Department of Parks and Recreation and is administered by the California State Railroad Museum as part of the Old Sacramento State Historic Park.

Sacramento History Museum is the only museum devoted to Sacramento, California and California Gold Rush history. It is located at 101 I Street in Old Sacramento. Just west of the museum is the Sacramento River and both the Tower Bridge and the I Street Bridge are visible from the museum. The building itself is a replica of Sacramento's 1854 City Hall and Waterworks building, showcased in natural brick with two stories of 14 foot double doors across the front. Exhibit themes include the Gold Rush and mining, Nisenan & Maidu Indian Nations, fur trapping, agriculture, and cultural heritage.

Lady Adams Building, is historical building in Sacramento, California. Lady Adams Building is a California Historical Landmark No. 603. Lady Adams Building was built in 1852 for $29,000 ($1 million today) and opened as a store and office building. Lady Adams Building is the oldest building in Old Sacramento. The store specialized in goods from the East Coast of the United States that sailed through the Strait of Magellan in the brigantine sailing ship, Lady Adams. The building architect was Julius Fiedler. The building is at 113 K Street, Sacramento.The Lady Adams Building was as wholesale and import house. Arriving on the Lady Adams in 1849, four immigrants from Germany set up the wholesale store. The wholesale store started by selling good off the ship Lady Adams at the Sacramento River docks as Lady Adams Mercantile Company starting in 1849 to support the California Gold Rush boom. Part of the ships went in to building the K Street Lady Adams Building. Lady Adams Mercantile Co. went bankruptcy in 1861. In 1861 it became the Fogus & Coghill grocery store. The city had a 13-year program in the 1860s and 1870s, to raise the buildings and streets in Sacramento to stop the flooding problem in the city, like the Great Flood of 1862. The Lady Adams Building was raised 15 feet in 1865. In 1868 it became the Mebius & Company Wholesale Grocers. For some year the building was vacant in part of the 1950. The roof collapsed in 1970 from age, but was repaired. For years it has been a Historical Sacramento Evangeline’ store.

Ebner's Hotel was an historic hotel located in Sacramento, California, listed as a California Historical Landmark, that was built in 1856 for and possibly by the Ebner brothers, Charles and Francis (Frank) Ebner.
