Headbourne Worthy

King's Worthy railway station was a station on the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway in England. It was built in 1909 as a direct petition from local residents of Easton and Abbots Worthy. Construction of the station resulted in the addition of another passing loop on the line and a single siding which was later provided with a goods shed. Five years before the closure of the station the passing loop was removed leaving the station building on the remaining single platform (previously the northbound platform) which still stands today.

Abbots Worthy lies on the A33 about 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north of Winchester. Abbots Worthy is included within the civil parish of Kings Worthy and is part of the Winchester City Council administration. In 1870–72, John Marius Wilson in the Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Abbotts Worthy as: ABBOTSWORTHY, a tything in the parish of Kings worthy, 2 miles NNE of Winchester, Hants. The Itchen Way, which is a 31.8-mile (51.2 km) long-distance footpath, passes through the village. The River Itchen lies just to the south of Abbots Worthy.

Winnall Moors is a 64-hectare (160-acre) nature reserve in Winchester in Hampshire. It is managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.The southern section is owned by Winchester City Council and has been managed by HIWWT since the 1980s. The northern part was formerly farmed as low-intensity grazing, but was purchased by HIWWT following a public appeal, with assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The site lies within the western end of the Countryside Agency's plan for a South Downs National Park.

Osborne School is a community special school in Winchester, England. The school has 16 classes in the main school. The residential unit, which had 2 classes for pupils aged 16 and over, was converted in 2016 to a day service with a total of 7 classrooms and a light and sound room. Each class has up to 12 pupils and has support from at least 1 Learning Support Assistant, in addition to the class teacher. The school receives support from a speech and language therapy service and an occupational therapy service. The school also uses a music therapist and physiotherapy. It has a specialised unit for pupils on the autistic spectrum.

St Bartholomew's Church, Winchester is a Church of England parish church in Hyde, Winchester, England. St Bartholomew's is the parish church of Hyde, formerly a village outside the walls of Winchester, now a suburb of the city. The church was built to serve the tenants and lay officials of Hyde Abbey (established 1110, dissolved and demolished 1539). Hyde Abbey was a medieval Benedictine monastery just outside the walls of Winchester, Hampshire, England. It was dissolved and demolished in 1538 following various acts passed under King Henry VIII to dissolve monasteries and abbeys (see Dissolution of the Monasteries). The Abbey was once known to have housed the remains of King Alfred the Great, his son, King Edward the Elder, and his wife, Ealhswith. Following its dissolution these remains were lost; however, excavations of the Abbey and the surrounding area continue.

The Hyde Close drill hall is a former military installation in Winchester. It is a Grade II listed building.
