Peoria Center for the Performing Arts

Theater Works is a non-profit community theater company that operated out of the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts in Peoria, Arizona. The company produces more than 200 events a year for audiences of all ages, including their own productions as well as running and managing outside productions and rentals that use the arts center. Theater Works has the Mary Jane Gyder Theater, a 274 seat state-of-the-art “Main Stage” theater with stadium style seating, and the Constance W. McMillin Theater, an 80 seat Black Box theater. The company also has two classrooms, a set construction shop, a costume shop, dressing rooms, and office space for the theater’s staff.

Peoria is a city northwest of Phoenix, in Arizona. Most of the city is located in Maricopa County, while a portion of it in the north is in Yavapai County. It is a major suburb of Phoenix. As of the 2020 census, the population of Peoria was 190,985, up from 154,065 in 2010. It is the sixth-largest city in Arizona in land area and the ninth-largest in population. It was named after Peoria, Illinois. The word Peoria is a corruption of the Miami-Illinois word for "prairie fire". It is the spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners, who share the Peoria Sports Complex.

The Central School in Peoria, Arizona, at 10304 N. 83rd Ave., was built in 1906. It is a two-room schoolhouse, built in Mission Revival architecture and/or Spanish Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Its two classrooms are each 39 by 25 feet (11.9 m × 7.6 m) and are separated by an 11 feet (3.4 m) central hall.

Peoria High School is a public secondary school located in Peoria, Arizona, United States, serving grades 9 to 12. It is the oldest high school in the Peoria Unified School District and opened in 1919; its original building Old Main was constructed in 1922, renovated in 2014, and named a Historic Place in 2019. The school enrolls around 1,500 students, 10% of which participate in the school's Advanced Placement program. There are over 40 clubs on campus, as well as a strong athletics program.

Peoria Accelerated High School is a public charter high school in Peoria, Arizona. It is operated by The Leona Group.

Rio Vista Pond is located in Rio Vista Park in south central Peoria, Arizona, United States, on Rio Vista Boulevard, just north of Thunderbird Road.

Centennial High School (CeHS) is a public secondary school in Peoria, Arizona, United States, part of the Peoria Unified School District. The school opened its doors in August 1990.

Marinette was a ghost town in Maricopa County, Arizona, located just northwest of Peoria, Arizona, along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. The site was promoted in the early 20th century for production of citrus fruit, apricots, olives, and other crops. The town was purchased by the Southwest Cotton company, a Goodyear subsidiary, in 1920. It existed until 1957, when the post office serving Marinette was moved to Youngtown. The place where Marinette once was later became the site of Del Webb Corporation's Sun City, Arizona.

Raymond S. Kellis High School is a public secondary school located in Glendale, Arizona, United States, part of the Peoria Unified School District. The school opened its doors in August 2004 due to overcrowding at Peoria High School and rapid population growth in the surrounding area. The school is the district's fourth-largest, with approximately 1,850 students. Kellis High School is located near State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, and Desert Diamond Arena, former home of the Arizona Coyotes.

Weedville is a populated place situated within the city limits of Peoria in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It was a small community founded in 1911, in an area which, at the time, was outside the city limits of Peoria. The area is located within the pockets of unincorporated land under the jurisdiction of Maricopa County. All of the census and demographic data for the residents of Weedville are part of the information reported for the city of Peoria, since Weedville is located within the limits of that city.

The West Valley is a region within the Phoenix metropolitan area, in central Arizona. It is located west of the Phoenix city limits, within Maricopa County, Arizona. The boundaries of the west valley is generally considered Interstate 17 in the east, Buckeye in west, the Sierra Estrella Mountains in the south, and Anthem in the north.

Glendale Community College (GCC) is a public community college in Glendale, Arizona. GCC opened in 1965. Programs include associate degrees, certificate programs, industry-specific training, and university transfer. GCC is a part of the Maricopa County Community College District, one of the largest community college districts in the United States. The main campus is a 147-acre (0.59 km2) site located at 59th and Olive Avenue in Glendale. GCC offers classes in various sites throughout the area. GCC North in Phoenix opened in fall 2000 with 839 students from the northern part of Maricopa County. Financial backing donated by New York Architect Ron Elsensohn allowed for a major expansion of the north campus which unveiled in the fall of 2008. GCC also offers the first two years of general education requirements at the North Valley campus of Northern Arizona University also in Phoenix and select classes at other sites such as Valley Vista High School in Surprise.
