WCVE-FM ("VPM News", 88.9 MHz) is a public radio station licensed to Richmond, Virginia, serving the Richmond/Petersburg area. WCVE-FM is owned and operated by Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation. CPBC also owns Channel 23 WCVE-TV, the PBS member station in Richmond, as well as other TV and FM stations in Virginia. WCVE-FM broadcasts two channels in the HD Radio format.Two additional stations, WWLB (93.1 FM) and WBBT-FM (107.3 FM), broadcast classical and specialty music programming to Richmond under the brand "VPM Music". WWLB serves the southern portion of the market, while WBBT serves the northern portion. On August 5, 2019, WCVE-FM was rebranded as "VPM News."

Collegiate School is a preparatory school for boys and girls located in Richmond, Virginia. The student body of Collegiate comprises about 1,600 total students from Junior Kindergarten through 12th Grade. The Lower School and Upper School are coeducational and the Middle School is coordinated with boys and girls in separate classes.

The Druin–Horner House near Richmond in Henrico County, Virginia, USA, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.It is "a rare survivor from 18th century Henrico". It is featured in Foundations in Time II: More of Henrico’s Architectural Treasures, a Henrico County TV film available for viewing online.

Woodside, near Tuckahoe, Virginia in Henrico County, Virginia, was built in 1858. It is a Greek Revival style villa, in the countryside but not a farmhouse. It was a family home of the Wickham family of Richmond. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The house, along with open area around it, has been permanently protected by an easement.It is located southwest of Tuckahoe off VA 157, at what is now 510 S. Gaskins Rd.

St. Mary's Catholic School is a JK-8 educational institution located in Richmond, Virginia, serving 425 students. The Early Childhood Development Center is dedicated to full day instruction of JK, Kindergarten and First Grade. Foreign Language is taught in all grades (JK-Grade 8). Other resource classes include Music, Fine Arts, Health/PE, Technology and Library Sciences. The school is home to the only Catholic IB Middle Years Programme in Central Virginia. Saint Mary's currently offers five high school credit courses. These courses include Algebra I, Geometry, Foreign Language (Spanish I or French I), World History and Earth Science. St. Mary's Parish built a new church which opened in 2007. The church seats 1000 people comfortably. The school has undergone two major facility renovations in 2018 and 2022. A needlepoint bipolar ionization system was installed in all air handling units in both the church and school buildings in 2020.

Tuckahoe is a census-designated place (CDP) in Henrico County, Virginia, United States. It is an upper middle class suburb to the west of Richmond. The population of Tuckahoe was 44,990 at the 2010 census. It is named after the area's history as the site of Thomas Randolph's Tuckahoe Plantation which still stands along the James River.

Lorraine was an unincorporated community in Henrico County, Virginia. Lorraine was named for Edward Lorraine who was the 19th century chief engineer of the James River and Kanawha Canal. According to the Library of Virginia, he was born in 1818. In 1842, he first worked as a rod man doing surveying work on the James River and Kanawha Canal, beginning a career of over 30 years. He was promoted to assistant engineer, and finally appointed chief engineer of the canal succeeding Walter Gwynn. Lorraine served in this position until his death from smallpox in December 1872.Lorraine became a station stop of the Richmond and Allegheny Railroad which was built on the defunct canal's right-of-way in the 1880s. Soon after completion, the railroad was acquired by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. It became a major conduit for transportation of coal from southern West Virginia to the coal pier on the harbor of Hampton Roads at Newport News. The line later became the James River line of CSX Transportation, and continued to support eastbound coal traffic. Once a moderately busy passenger and freight station on the railroad, Lorraine was discontinued by the C&O in the mid 20th century.

Bosher's Dam is a historic low head dam (also called a weir) built upon the James River just west of Richmond, Virginia. It is a 12-foot-high stone structure which interrupts the natural flow of Virginia's largest self-contained river by spanning the waterway between suburban Tuckahoe in Henrico County and the western part of Richmond just west of the Edward E. Willey Bridge. Dams like Bosher's Dam are often referred to as "drowning machines" by paddlers due to their dangerous nature. Bosher's Dam is not an exception from this rule having caused a number of deaths.

Trinity Episcopal School is a liberal arts high school located in Richmond, Virginia. It is also a International Baccalaureate World School, the first in Richmond. Trinity started as a small independent school in 1972.

Regency Mall is an enclosed shopping mall outside of Richmond, Virginia in unincorporated Henrico County, Virginia, United States. Opened in 1975 as Regency Square, the mall features a food court and more than 60 tenants, currently with no anchors. Macy's, which had two locations at Regency Square, closed in spring 2016, Sears closed in summer 2017, and JCPenney closed in fall 2020. Forever 21 closed in early 2020 as part of that brand's restructuring plan.

The Forest Building or Forest Showroom is a former retail building in Henrico, Virginia that is an example of late 20th century postmodern architecture. Built in 1978–80 as an outlet for catalog merchant company Best Products, it was one of several prominent postmodern stores designed for Best by James Wines and his firm SITE. Each of the SITE-designed showrooms featured a visual twist on late 20th-century big box store design―often playing on themes of ruin or disaster―and the Forest Building expressed these themes with a false façade in front of its actual entrance that enclosed a screen of preexisting trees, giving the store the appearance of a ruin that had returned to nature. While the SITE-designed Best showrooms received a critical reception when they were built, later commentators have praised them as architectural and artistic achievements. The Forest Building in particular was praised for its engagement with its natural setting. After Best Products liquidated in the 1990s, most of its stores were demolished or substantially altered. As of 2024, the Forest Building is the last surviving Best Products store to retain its original exterior design. Since 2000, it has been owned by West End Presbyterian Church.
