The Milpark Hospital is a private hospital in western Parktown, Johannesburg, in the area known as Milpark, and owned by Netcare Limited. It has a level 1 accredited trauma unit, and cardiology and cardio-thoracic services. It has 346 beds, of which 95 are used for high care and intensive care. The hospital also houses the only Gamma Knife unit in South Africa. Nelson Mandela was treated at the hospital for an acute respiratory infection in January 2011 and underwent a laparoscopy there in February 2012. In In February 2009, South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius was treated at the hospital after a serious boating accident.On 2 April 2018, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela died at the hospital. In 2021 Shona Ferguson died at the hospital due to COVID-19 complications. He is survived by his wife, actress Connie Ferguson and two daughters .

Headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, Soundcity Radio Network broadcasts nationally to a youth audience. Melville is a bohemian suburb of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It is one of the city's most popular tourist destinations. The suburb is to the west of the Johannesburg CBD. It is located in Region B of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.

Lindfield House is a Victorian Museum in Auckland Park, near Johannesburg, South Africa, built circa 1909–1910. The original plans have been lost. The first owners of the house were a Dr and Mrs Stanwell, who lived there until 1924. The house is named after a village in England.Herbert Baker is said to be the designer of the house. The second owner was Henry O'Kelly Webber, a past president of the Chamber of Mines. He greatly enlarged the house, getting A.J. Marshall to design the plans. Marshall worked with Baker and afterwards had his own practice. An extra room was added in 1933 which was designed by Nelly Edwards, the first woman architect in Johannesburg.The third owner was Donald Relton Austin, an engineer, who bought the house in 1944. Then in the 1950s the house was owned by Peter Laband, a stockbroker.

The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) is a German international school in Parktown, Johannesburg.Founded in 1891, the DSJ is one of the oldest schools in the city and one of the largest German schools on the African continent. Oswald Austin Reid VC (2 November 1893––27 October 1920) was a South African recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

Auckland Park Theological Seminary (ATS) is a Pentecostal and Charismatic theological seminary. It is based in the Johannesburg suburb of Auckland Park, and has campuses in Mthatha and Durban, as well as offering distance learning qualifications. Its principal is Prof. WJ Hattingh, also a professor at the University of Johannesburg. It has engaged in theological training and education for the past 50 years, and is the oldest institution of its kind in Southern Africa. It is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority, and offers various certificates, as well as the undergraduate BTh, and the postgraduate BA Honours, MA, and D Lit et Phil, all in Theology.

Braamfontein Werf is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Braamfontein Werf is part of the area known as Milpark, along with small parts of neighboring suburbs like Parktown. [1][2]
