Danmarks plass is a square in Årstad borough in the city of Bergen, Norway. Today most famous as one of Norway's busiest road intersections, it was originally known as "Kronstadtorget". After World War II, it received its current name in honour of Denmark's humanitarian efforts in Norway during the war. "Danmarks plass" is commonly used also to describe the immediate surroundings of the square, e.g. Krohnsminde kunstgressbane. Danmarks plass has more air pollution than anywhere else in Bergen, caused by the traffic as well as its location between two hills.On an average, more than 60,000 vehicles pass through the at-grade intersection at Danmarksplass every day. European route E39, the main road into Bergen from both the south and the north, runs through Danmarksplass. Located near the city centre, Danmarksplass is a major thoroughfare for the tens of thousands of people who daily commute to work in the city centre or other boroughs. The Bergen Light Rail line passes through Danmarksplass. The construction of the light rail line and stations, which was started in early 2008, lead to the closure of several lanes. Ibsens gate, the eastern arm of the intersection, was closed in August the same year.

Kronstad Hovedgård is a manor house in the city of Bergen, Norway. It is situated in the borough of Årstad about 2 km south of the Bergenhus on the south shore of the bay of Store Lungegårdsvannet.

Kronstad is a neighbourhood in the borough of Årstad in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the northern part of the borough, south of the large Store Lungegårdsvannet bay, east of the neighborhood of Solheim, north of Minde, west of Landås, and west of Møllendal and Haukeland (in Bergenhus borough). The neighbourhood was named after the old Kronstad farm (whose successor is the Kronstad Hovedgård manor house), which was formerly known as "Hunstad". After the vicar of Bergen Cathedral purchased the farm in 1705, the name was changed to "Cronstad" which later changed to Kronstad.

Bergen Heliport, Nygårdstangen (ICAO: ENBG; Norwegian: Bergen helikopterplass, Nygårdstangen) was a heliport situated at Nygårdstangen on the shore of Store Lungegårdsvannet in Bergen, Norway. It was solely used for air ambulance services to Haukeland University Hospital. The heliport was owned and operated by Hordaland County Municipality, with helicopter services provided by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA). The base opened in 1987 as a temporary facility. It was closed in 2002 and replaced by Bergen Heliport, Grønneviksøren.

Bergen Heliport, Grønneviksøren (ICAO: ENBG; Norwegian: Bergen helikopterplass, Grønneviksøren) is a heliport situated at Grønneviksøren on the shore of Store Lungegårdsvannet in Bergen, Norway. It is solely used for air ambulance services to Haukeland University Hospital. The heliport is owned and operated by Bergen Hospital Trust. It is the base for a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) for the Norwegian Air Ambulance. Grønneviksøren is also used by the Royal Norwegian Air Force's 330 Squadron's Westland Sea King search and rescue helicopters. The landing pad measures 60 by 34 meters (197 by 112 ft). Grønneviksøren is located 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) from the hospital and patients must therefore be transported by ambulance to Haukeland. In cases where time is imperative, the helicopters can land at a helipad situated on-site at the hospital. When the air ambulance service commenced in Bergen in 1987, Bergen Heliport, Nygårdstangen was built. With the lot being sold, the heliport relocated to Grønneviksøren in 2002. Since 2012 it has been supplemented with the helipad at the hospital. There are plans to move the heliport to a new location at Nygårdstangen.

Solheim Church (Norwegian: Solheim kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the Solheimsviken neighborhood in the city of Bergen. It is one of the two churches for the Løvstakksiden parish which is part of the Bergensdalen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, concrete church was built in a long church design in 1956 using plans drawn up by the architect Peter Andersen. The church seats about 330 people.

Solheimsviken is a bay and a neighbourhood in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The bay is situated at the end of the Damsgårdssundet strait, near the large Store Lungegårdsvann bay. Located near the city centre of Bergen, Solheimsviken was the first urbanized area in the municipality of Årstad (which is now Årstad borough in the city of Bergen). Solheimsviken has traditionally been dominated by heavy industry, although none of this remains. In recent years, inner Solheimsviken has been developed into a business park with the presence of several companies including the headquarters of GC Rieber, as well as the convention centre Arenum. There are further plans for new combined hotel and convention centre as well as a new regional headquarters for the financial group DNB.

Store Lungegårdsvannet is a bay located in the city and municipality of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The bay separates the city centre, located in the borough of Bergenhus, from the southern boroughs of the city, Årstad, Fana and Ytrebygda. The bay is situated at the end of the Puddefjorden.

The Nygård Bridge (Norwegian: Nygårdsbroen) is a series of parallel bridges that cross Strømmen, the sound entering Store Lungegårdsvannet, in Bergen, Norway. The Old Nygård Bridge dates from 1854 and carries the two tracks of the Bergen Light Rail as well as pedestrians and cyclists. The New Nygård Bridge opened in 1978, and carries six lanes of European Route E39. The New Nygård Bridge II, built in 2008, carries the two lanes of the street Nygårdsgaten.The old bridge was opened in 1854 as a pedestrian and vehicle bridge. From 1884 to 1913, it carried the Voss Line of the Norwegian State Railways, and later a line of the Bergen Tramway when Line 1 was extended in 1919, until it was closed down in 1963. In 1938, it was made twice the width. In 2008, the old bridge was rebuilt to carry the Bergen Light Rail, while the street was moved to a new bridge, the New Nygård Bridge II.

Kronstad Station is a former station at Kronstad in Bergen, Norway opened in 1913 and closed in 1965. It was served by trains on the Bergen Line until January 1965, when the stretch on which the station was located was closed following the opening of the Ulriken Tunnel in 1964. The former station is located south of the Kronstad Tunnel, which passes under Haukeland University Hospital and Møllendal Cemetery between Kronstad and Fløen. There were plans for converting the tunnel into a bicycle path, as it is rarely used by trains nowadays.

Løvstakksiden, commonly shortened to Løvstakken or simply Stakken, is a neighbourhood in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. Currently it is part of the borough of Årstad, but before 2000 it was part of a borough called "Løvstakken" which covered the eastern and western sides of the mountain Løvstakken, consisting of Fyllingsdalen in the west and Løvstakksiden in the east.Although the neighbourhood has no official boundaries, it can be said to cover the urban area to the northeast of the mountain Løvstakken, or parts of western Årstad. Løvstakksiden is not considered a "traditional" neighbourhood of Bergen, because it is located outside the core borough of Bergenhus. However it remains inside Bergen's urban area, in the borough of Årstad. Løvstakksiden is also a local parish in Bergen with two churches, Solheim Church and St. Markus Church.
