Finchley Catholic High School

Swan Lane Open Space is a public park in Whetstone in the London Borough of Barnet. It is the smallest of Barnet's sixteen 'Premier Parks'. It has a children's playground, a café, and a pond which was formerly used for model boating but is now covered with reeds and water plants. Much of it is mown grass and trees, including giant redwoods and a Cedar of Lebanon, but it also has more natural areas managed for nature conservation.The park was created around the 1930s on the site of former gravel pits beside a nineteenth-century estate. The park was known locally as 'The Pits' in the 1960s and probably earlier. The pond is a natural spring. It was the scene of a tragedy in the early 1920s when children were drowned while playing in the disused gravel workings. According to a history of a local school, St John's: "Whetstone was the site of a number of gravel pits, particularly in the locality of Swan Lane. They are commemorated in the name still used for the recreation area there. School documents record a tragedy on these pits, which were then disused, in 1925, when a 10 year-year-old boy who attended the school was drowned with two friends when a raft on which they were floating capsized". In the early 1970s the park featured in one of the Monty Python films when a scene from the 'Hells Grannies' sketches was filmed in the upper part above the keepers lodge. The Wendy House that stood nearby during the 1960s and 1970s can be seen in shot. Rose beds by the café have been planted in memory of two local residents. There is access from Swan Lane, Whetstone High Road and Woodside Lane.

The station is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line, between West Finchley and Totteridge and Whetstone stations, and in Travelcard Zone 4. Church of St Cyril of Turau and All the Patron Saints of the Belarusian People (Belarusian: Царква Сьвятога Кірылы Тураўскага і ўсіх сьвятых заступнікаў беларускага народу, also known as the Belarusian Memorial Chapel) is a wooden church in Woodside Park, London. It is the first wooden church built in London since the Great Fire. It is also the first purpose-built Catholic church of Byzantine rite in London, the first memorial dedicated to the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster erected in Western Europe, the first Belarusian Uniate church built outside Belarus and the first church building made principally out of cross laminated timber panels in London. The church is located next to the Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum and the Marian House, a Belarusian community centre in Northern London.

Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum (Belarusian: Беларуская бібліятэка і музей імя Францішка Скарыны; also referred to as Skaryna Library and Skarynaŭka) in north London, England, is the only library outside Belarus to collect exclusively in the field of Belarusian studies. It was formally established as an independent institution in 1971 and is owned by a charitable trust. The library — alongside the Belarusian Catholic Mission in England, Anglo-Belarusian Society and the Journal of Belarusian Studies — had a significant role in encouraging Belarusian studies in the United Kingdom and outside Belarus in second half of the 20th century.It is named after Francysk Skaryna, a Belarusian and East-Slavonic publishing pioneer.

St. Alban's Catholic Church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in on the corner of Nether Street and Birkbeck Road in North Finchley, London. It is situated in the Barnet Deanery of the Diocese of Westminster. Founded in 1903, the church was completed in 1908. The church is dedicated to Saint Alban and includes a statue of the saint in an alcove on the tower.

The Finchley Meeting House is a Friends meeting house (a Quaker place of worship) at 58 Alexandra Grove in Finchley, London N12.Quakers had first met in the area in a house in Ballards Lane from around 1882 to 1909, and a subset of the Hampstead meeting met monthly in Finchley from 1945 to 1950. A specific Finchley meeting began in 1952, it was based at 131 Nether Street in 1955; the Nether Street house having been let to the meeting by a member who had bought the house for them. Due to the ageing of the Nether Street house, new premises were sought, and a new Meeting House was built nearby on Alexandra Grove, opening in October 1967. It was designed by H. V. Sprince. The London: North edition of the Pevsner Architectural Guides describes the building as "Stock brick, with corner windows, and flat roofs stepping up from the hall to the wardens flat at the back".The Meeting House was the base of the Finchley and District Peace Campaign until their closure in 2006.The meeting for worship is held on Sundays at 10:30 am.

The Gaumont Finchley was an architecturally notable cinema in north Finchley, London. It opened in 1937 and closed in 1980, before being demolished in 1987.

Folly Brook is a 2+1⁄4-mile (3.6 km) long brook in the London Borough of Barnet. It is a tributary of Dollis Brook, which is a tributary of the River Brent, which is a tributary of the River Thames. Folly Brook is lined for most of its length by narrow strips of woodland and scrub, with a good variety of trees and shrubs. It is one of the best streams in Barnet for small aquatic invertebrates, including several species of caddis fly and a stonefly, which are only found in unpolluted waters.

Totteridge & Whetstone () is a London Underground station in Whetstone in the London Borough of Barnet, North London. The station is the penultimate one on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line, between Woodside Park and High Barnet stations, in Travelcard Zone 4. It was first built in 1872. It is on the north side of Totteridge Lane (A5109), to the east of the Dollis Brook, the traditional boundary between Totteridge and Whetstone, so narrowly in the latter.
