Lac de Fully

The Grand Chavalard is a mountain in the western part of the Bernese Alps in Valais, overlooking the Rhone at Fully near Martigny. The mountain is located close to the Dent de Morcles on the north-west.

The Tête du Portail (2,335 m) is a mountain located at the western extremity of the Bernese Alps, in the Swiss canton of Valais. It lies north of Martigny and Fully, in the Dent de Morcles-Grand Muveran group. The mountain is named after a natural arch, the Portail de Fully, located near the summit at a height of 2,270 metres.

The Dent de Morcles is a 2,969 metres high mountain located at western end of the Bernese Alps, overlooking the Rhone between Martigny and St. Maurice. It is the westernmost summit of the Muverans massif, which in turn is the westernmost of the four distinct mountain massifs of the Bernese Alps that lie west of the Gemmi Pass. Its position at the end of this chain of mountains and the abrupt drop to the wide valley of the Rhone river below make the Dent de Morcles prominently visible from many points in Lausanne and other populated areas on the north and northeastern shores of Lake Geneva. The summit is sometimes distinguished by the name Grande Dent de Morcles, the Petite Dent de Morcles being a lower summit (2,929 m) on the north-west side. Both summits are located on the border between Valais and Vaud. On the northern slopes lies the small Glacier des Martinets. The Lac de Fully is located on the south side.

The Dent Favre is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, located between the Dent de Morcles and the Grand Muveran. Its summit straddles the border between the Swiss cantons of Vaud and Valais.

Nant is an alpine pasture located in the municipality of Bex, in Switzerland. Its name is often used to describe the small valley itself: "vallon de Nant".

Fully (French pronunciation: [fyji]) is a municipality in the district of Martigny in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

Dorénaz is a municipality in the district of Saint-Maurice in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

The Petit Muveran is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, overlooking Ovronnaz in Valais. The summit is located on the border between Vaud and Valais. As its name suggests, it is situated near the higher Grand Muveran.

The Trient (French pronunciation: [tʁiɛ̃]) is a river in western Valais. It takes its source at the Trient Glacier in the Mont Blanc Massif and joins the Rhone between Vernayaz and Martigny. Only two villages are located along the Trient: Trient and Vernayaz. However, the Trient Valley includes many other settlements: notably Finhaut, Les Marécottes and Salvan, all located on south-east facing terraces, at significant elevations above the valley floor. The Trient is essentially a wild alpine river mostly fed by glacial runoff. High in the Alps it is fed by numerous small streams that run down the surrounding mountains. Notable streams are the Eau Noire (collecting the Barberine below the Lac d'Emosson) and the Triège. Shortly after passing the Trient Gorges, the river flows into the Rhone just south-east of the village of Vernayaz.

Vernayaz MC railway station (French: Gare de Vernayaz MC) is a railway station in the municipality of Vernayaz, in the Swiss canton of Valais. It is located on the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge Martigny–Châtelard line of Transports de Martigny et Régions. The depot for the line is located just south of the entrance to the station. Another station, Vernayaz on the standard gauge Simplon line of Swiss Federal Railways, is located roughly 1.1 kilometres (0.68 mi) to the north, across the Trient river. There is no local transport connection.
