Mount Trashmore is a 65 ft. hill located in Robert E. James Park in Evanston, Illinois. Mount Trashmore is an example of landfill reuse as it was a solid waste landfill that was closed and converted into a park in 1965. In 1973, Evanston began allowing skiing on Mount Trashmore, installing a tow rope and snow making machines. Since skiing was prohibited in the 1980s, Mount Trashmore remained a popular sledding and tobogganing hill in the winter, as well as a popular destination for runners and hikers in the summer. In the summer of 1995, Northwestern University football strength and conditioning director, Larry Lilja planted a small Rose Bowl flag at the top of Mount Trashmore and had the Wildcats repeatedly run up the mountain. They went on to play in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 1996.

The Skokie Shops are CTA rail shops located at Oakton Street and Hamlin Avenue in Skokie, Illinois. Currently, The Skokie Shops are used for Rail maintenance, inspections, cleaning, repair work, and overhaul of CTA railcars.

Lincolnwood Town Center is a shopping mall located in Lincolnwood, Illinois. Opened in 1990, the mall's anchor stores are Kohl's, TheRoomPlace, and Old Navy. The mall is owned and managed by Washington Prime Group.

Dodge was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Niles Center branch, now known as the Yellow Line. The station was located at Dodge Street and Mulford Street in Evanston, Illinois. Dodge was situated east of Crawford-East Prairie and west of Asbury. Dodge opened on March 28, 1925, and closed on March 27, 1948, upon the closing of the Niles Center branch.

Crawford–East Prairie was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Niles Center branch, now known as the Yellow Line. The station was located at Mulford Street between Crawford Avenue and East Prairie Road in Skokie, Illinois. Crawford–East Prairie was situated east of Kostner and west of Dodge. Crawford–East Prairie opened on March 28, 1925, and closed on March 27, 1948, upon the closing of the Niles Center branch.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy is a Modern Orthodox Jewish high school in Skokie, Illinois, under the auspicies of the Associated Talmud Torahs. Its current dean is Leonard Matanky. ICJA places emphasis on both Judaic and Secular studies and holds its students to high academic standards. ICJA encourages its students to pursue a year in yeshiva or seminary in Israel before attending college. Ida Crown serves students from all over the Chicago area, including Chicago, Lincolnwood, Skokie, Northbrook, Highland Park, Glencoe, Deerfield, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, and Evanston. As of the 2021-22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 216 students and 36.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.8:1.

The North Shore Channel is a drainage canal built between 1907 and 1910 to flush the sewage-filled North Branch of the Chicago River down the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. The sewage carrying duty has been largely taken over by the Chicago Deep Tunnel, but there are still occasional discharges due to heavy rains.

Skokie Valley Agudath Jacob Synagogue is an Orthodox Jewish synagogue located at 8825 East Prairie Road in Skokie, Illinois. Originally a traditional synagogue, it was founded in 1956 and is one of the oldest active synagogues in Skokie.

Asbury was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Niles Center branch, now known as the Yellow Line. The station was located at Asbury Avenue and Brummel Street in Evanston, Illinois. Asbury was situated east of Dodge and west of Ridge. Asbury opened on March 28, 1925, and closed on March 27, 1948, upon the closing of the Niles Center branch.After the successful reopening of the Oakton station in 2012, it was determined that either the Dodge, Asbury, or Ridge stations could be rebuilt and reopened as well. It appears the Asbury station has won approval but a timeline has yet to be established.

Indian Boundary Park is a 13-acre (5.3 ha) urban park in the West Ridge neighborhood of North Side, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Literary and Fine Arts School, or King Arts, is a K-8 magnet school located in Evanston, Illinois. The school was formed in 1967 by combining Skiles Middle School, which had taught grades 6-8 and sat on the site of the current King Arts School and the original Martin Luther King Jr. Laboratory School, which had taught grades K-5 and was housed in the building of the old Foster School at Foster and Dewey.

The Rogers Park Manor Bungalow Historic District is a residential historic district in the West Ridge neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The district includes 329 buildings, 247 of which are Chicago bungalows built in the 1920s. As homeownership became more accessible to working-class Chicagoans in the early twentieth century, bungalows became an affordable and popular style due to their easily replicable design, and tens of thousands of the houses were built throughout Chicago. The Rogers Park Manor area was typical of new bungalow neighborhoods, as it was an underdeveloped outlying neighborhood near the city's northern edge. The bungalows in Rogers Park Manor were built by several different developers and architects, which led to variation in the size and shape of the homes despite their similar designs. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 15, 2005.
