Baldhu (; Cornish: Bal Du, meaning black mine) is a village and parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is in the civil parish of Kea. The parish church of Saint Michael and All Angels, designed by William White, is the burial place of Billy Bray, the revivalist preacher who was born at the nearby hamlet of Twelveheads.Baldhu is a former mining village (the name comes from the Cornish for 'black mine') and it is situated above the Carnon Valley 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) west of Truro. The parish was created in 1847 out of parts of Kea and Kenwyn and the church of St Michael was built soon after.

Furthermore the village also houses a primary school (known locally: Threemilestone Primary School).

Billy Bray's Chapel or Billy Bray's 'Three Eyes' Chapel is a Grade II listed Methodist chapel at Baldhu in Cornwall, UK. The chapel is one of the three chapels left that Billy Bray built. The chapel is located about five miles from Truro and one mile from Chacewater near a crossroads. The chapel was built in the early 19th century and was attended by many people including Billy Bray himself who was the preached here. Towards the end of the 1980s the chapel closed down but was reopened and rededicated. The chapel still today holds services. The door and the porch were originally under the middle window but were moved and altered. It is thought the chapel has also been altered since Billy Bray was here. The name 'three eyes' comes from the three windows of the chapel. Three on one side and three on the other. Billy Bray is buried in St Michael's church in Baldhu which is now turned into houses. The church contains a piano and the shell of a Harmonium.

Bissoe (Cornish: Besow, meaning birch trees) is a hamlet in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated five miles (8 km) east of Redruth in a former tin mining area. It is in the civil parish of Kea. Bissoe was the site of an early arsenic extraction works, the second such commercial works in Britain. Frederick Hamilton Davey succeeded his father as Works Manager of the Cornwall Arsenic Company's factory at Bissoe in 1902, having acted as his father's assistant for several years. The name is believed to derive from the Cornish word besow meaning birch trees. Bissoe is the home of a small number of businesses, Bissoe Bike Hire, a concrete products company and an environmental waste management company called Clear-flow Ltd. The Bissoe Trail is a world famous cycling trail. Many bikes have been claimed by the challenging conditions of the trail. Bissoe lies on the Coast to Coast Trail long-distance footpath and cycle trail. The trail is 11 miles (17.5 km) long and links the interior of west Cornwall to the harbour of Portreath on the north coast and the former port of Devoran in the south. The trail follows the course of now-disused railways formerly used to carry imported coal and extracted minerals for export. Bissoe Valley Nature Reserve lies to the south of the hamlet.
