The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) is a private university in the Philippines. It traces its beginnings to the Center for Research and Communication (CRC), which was established on August 15, 1967, as a private think-tank that conducted economic and social research and offered graduate courses in economics.The spiritual and doctrinal formation given in the university is entrusted to Opus Dei, a Personal prelature of the Catholic Church.

San Miguel Avenue is a short north-south thoroughfare in Ortigas Center, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is an eight-lane divided avenue that runs for several hundred meters between Shaw Boulevard in the south and Julia Vargas Avenue in the north. It is named for the country's largest industrial conglomerate San Miguel Corporation that is headquartered on the avenue's junction with Julia Vargas since 1984.The avenue originally extended to Ortigas Avenue in the north. However, this section between Julia Vargas and Ortigas was renamed to ADB Avenue when the Asian Development Bank moved its headquarters there in 1991. San Miguel Avenue forms the border between Barangay San Antonio, Pasig to the east and Barangay Wack-Wack Greenhills, Mandaluyong to the west. It has a short extension into Greenfield District south of Shaw Boulevard as Sheridan Street.

Ortigas Center is a central business district located within the joint boundaries of Pasig, Mandaluyong and Quezon City, within the Metro Manila region in the Philippines. With an area of more than 100 hectares (250 acres), it is Metro Manila's second most important business district after the Makati CBD. It is governed by Ortigas Center Association, Inc. Ortigas Center is home to many shopping malls, office and condominium skyscrapers, nightlife bars, restaurants and other building complexes. These include the St. Francis Square, the Asian Development Bank compound, the Oakwood Premier serviced apartments and a Shangri-La hotel. It is also the headquarters of San Miguel Corporation, Jollibee Foods Corporation, Viva Entertainment, Century Pacific Food, the Philippine branch of HSBC, Republic Biscuit Corporation (Rebisco), and Robinsons Galleria. Also present in the area are Philippine offices of prominent engineering firms such as Parsons Brinckerhoff, Sinclair Knight Merz, and WSP Group. It also home to the Banco de Oro main office owned by mall tycoon Henry Sy, Sr., as is the SM Megamall he owns—one of the largest malls in the nation—along EDSA. Also located near the Ortigas Center is The Medical City, one of the three hospitals in the nation accredited by the Joint Commission on International Accreditation. Ortigas Center is surrounded by the streets of Ortigas Avenue to the north, EDSA to the west, C-5 Road to the east, and Shaw Boulevard to the south.

The López Museum and Library, also known as simply the Lopez Museum, is a Philippine art and history museum and library located in Pasig, Philippines at the ground floor of the Benpres Building, Exchange Road corner Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center.

The Benpres Building (Tagalog: Gusaling Benpres), originally known as the Chronicle Building, was a six-story Filipino modernist heritage building built in 1969 and inaugurated in 1971, located in Ortigas Center, Pasig.The building was designed by architect Gabriel Formoso and built in 1969 to serve as the new headquarters of the Manila Chronicle. The newspaper formally transferred to the building in February 1971 and the building was formally dedicated on April 2, 1971. However, President Ferdinand Marcos' declaration of Martial Law less than two years later saw the closure of the Chronicle, and the newspaper did not return to the building even after Marcos was deposed. After the People Power Revolution of 1986, the building was returned to the Lopez family and was renamed the Benpres Building after Eugenio Lopez, Sr.'s parents—former Iloilo governor Benito López, and Presentación Hofileña López.In 2016, the Lopez group of companies announced its intentions to redevelop the property on which the Benpres building stood, with two buildings planned to rise on the property. The building was demolished in 2019.

Meralco Avenue is a north-south thoroughfare located in Ortigas Center in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It links Ortigas Avenue in the north and Shaw Boulevard in the south and borders the western edge of Valle Verde in Ugong. It is named for the Manila Electric Company, also known as Meralco, which is headquartered on the avenue's junction with Ortigas Avenue. Other notable businesses on Meralco Avenue include UnionBank Plaza, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, Ayala Malls The 30th, Metrowalk, and the mixed-use development called Capitol Commons at the former Rizal Provincial Capitol lot on Meralco and Shaw Boulevard.

Edsa Shangri-La, Manila is a 5-star luxury hotel located at Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Philippines and one of the three hotels managed by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts located in Metro Manila, Philippines. It opened on August 28, 1992. The hotel has 632 rooms and suites, four international restaurants, two lounges, a cafe, and a bakeshop, across two wings, and is considered a city resort.The hotel is designed in a beach resort-style within the downtown area of the city and is located on the Shang Palace estate, which covers 8.6 hectares (21 acres), and includes the hotel, Shangri-La Plaza, the residential St. Francis Shangri-La Place and a new Shangri-La Plaza East Wing opened in 2013. The hotel is considered one of the landmark buildings in Manila due to it being the first of its kind in the city, and its clientele consists 85 percent of locals rather than foreign tourists.

The One San Miguel Avenue is an office skyscraper located at San Miguel Avenue (hence the building's name) in Ortigas Center, Pasig, Philippines. It was completed in 2001 and stands at 183 metres (600.39 feet) from ground up to the architectural top, although if measured with its antennas, it stands at 203 metres (666 feet). It has 54 floors aboveground and 7 basement levels.

The St. Francis Shangri-La Place, also known as The St. Francis Towers 1 & 2 are twin-tower residential condominium skyscrapers in Mandaluyong, Philippines. The towers are the 6th and 7th-tallest buildings in the country and Metro Manila as well, and are currently the second tallest twin towers in the Philippines surpassing Pacific Plaza Towers with a height of 212.88 metres from the ground to its architectural spire. It also has two of the most floors in the Philippines. The buildings have 60 floors above ground, including a podium which connects the two towers, and 5 basement levels for parking, and are considered one of the most prestigious residential buildings in the Philippines.

One Corporate Centre is an office skyscraper in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is the 13th-tallest building in the country and Metro Manila as well with a height of 202 metres (662.73 feet) from ground to tip of architectural antenna. The building has 45 floors above ground including 7 floors for commercial purposes, and 9 basement levels for parking.One Corporate Centre was designed by Philip H. Recto Architects, and is developed and owned by Amberland Corporation.

Ayala Malls The 30th (formerly Paradigm as working name) is a shopping mall built and managed by Ayala Malls. It is the first Ayala Mall in Ortigas Center as well as in Pasig and the first Ayala Mall to be managed by Mariana Zobel De Ayala. The mall opened on January 12, 2017. The mall was named "The 30th" as it is located at 30 Meralco Avenue.

The Podium is a mixed-use development located along ADB Avenue in the Ortigas Center, a major business and commercial district in Mandaluyong, Philippines. It was developed in December 2001 and officially opened in August 2002 as a joint project of Singaporean company, Keppel Land, and BDO Unibank.The mixed-use development has a floor area of 140,000 m2 (1,500,000 sq ft) and consists of a shopping mall of the same name, which has a floor area of 50,000 m2 (540,000 sq ft) and two office buildings built on top of it, having a total floor area of 90,000 m2 (970,000 sq ft). The buildings are the BDO Corporate Center and The Podium West Tower which were built in 2015 and 2019. A six-level expansion (Phase 2), located beside the main mall, was opened on October 27, 2017. The expansion will also include a podium within the towers, and was opened on 2019. The main building (Phase 1) entered renovation works following the opening, and was completed in December 2018.
