Saint-Germain-des-Vaux (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ ʒɛʁmɛ̃ de vo]) is a former commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune La Hague.

Jobourg (French pronunciation: [ʒɔbuʁ]) is a former commune in the Manche department in north-western France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune La Hague. It lies near Cap de la Hague in the Cotentin peninsula. Its population was 493 in 2019. It is surrounded by moorland and is not far away from the Phare de Goury (Goury Lighthouse), a lighthouse 100 metres away from the Goury beach. Jobourg has one nice beach on its commune, the Baie d'Écalgrain ("Écalgrain Beach"). The average temperature of the sea is 20 °C in summer. About 200 meters from the village is the CROSSMA, in charge of the busy traffic in the English Channel. One typical fête in Jobourg is the Fête des Moutons, a sheep festival that take place the first weekend of August. The festival features contests in which border collies heard geese and sheep. On the night of 26–27 March 1814, during the closing stages of the Napoleonic Wars the Battle of Jobourg was fought close inshore between British frigate HMS Hebrus and French frigate Etoile. After several hours of combat, Hebrus succeeded in defeating and capturing Etoile.

Omonville-la-Petite (French pronunciation: [ɔmɔ̃vil la pətit]) is a former commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune La Hague. Ormonville is known to be the place where French poet Jacques Prévert (1900–1977) lived the last years of his life and where he is buried. It is also the birthplace of French biologist Félix Mesnil (1868–1938).

The La Hague site is a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant at La Hague on the Cotentin Peninsula in northern France, with the Manche storage centre bordering on it. Operated by Orano, formerly AREVA, and prior to that COGEMA (Compagnie générale des matières atomiques), La Hague has nearly half of the world's light water reactor spent nuclear fuel reprocessing capacity. It has been in operation since 1976, and has a capacity of about 1,700 tonnes per year. It extracts plutonium which is then recycled into MOX fuel at the Marcoule site. It has treated spent nuclear fuel from France, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. It processed 1100 tonnes in 2005. The non-recyclable part of the radioactive waste is eventually sent back to the user nation. Prior to 2015, more than 32,000 tonnes of spent nuclear fuel has been reprocessed, with 70% of that from France, 17% from Germany and 9% from Japan.

Cap de la Hague is a cape at the tip of the Cotentin peninsula in Normandy, France. The La Hague area has precambrian granite and gneiss cliffs, several coves and small fields surrounded by hedges. France's oldest rocks are to be found on its coast in Jobourg. Other rocky outcroppings on the coast include Cadomian granite in Auderville and Variscan granite in Flamanville.The La Hague cape consists of two promontories about half a mile apart. The cape itself, which has the lighthouse and a lifeboat station, is very low-lying. The dialect of the Norman language spoken by a minority in the region is called Haguais. The Norman poet Côtis-Capel was a native of the region and used the landscape as inspiration for his poetry. The painter Jean-François Millet was also a native of the region. The La Hague site, the largest light water reactor nuclear waste reprocessing plant on earth (over half of the world's capacity), is located in the region.
