Kempston Rovers Football Club is a football club based in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. Affiliated to the Bedfordshire County Football Association, they are currently members of the Southern League Division One Central and play at Hillgrounds Leisure.

The Charles Wells Pub Company controls over 200 leased and tenanted public houses in England. The company also directly owns and manages 13 pubs in France (under the name John Bull Pub Company) and several managed houses in England under the Apostrophe Pubs and Pizza, Pots and Pints brands.Charles Wells sold its Bedford based brewery and most of its beer brands to Marston's in May 2017, for £55 million. Brands sold to them included Young's, Courage and McEwan's beers, along with contract beers, such as Kirin Ichiban and UK distribution rights to Estrella, Erdinger, Founders Brewing Company, Devil's Peak Brewing Company and Small Town Brewery. Charles Wells did, however, retain its Charlie Wells brands.

Kempston North is an electoral ward and area within the town of Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. The boundaries of Kempston North are approximately the River Great Ouse to the north west, with Kempston High Street and Bedford Road to the south east. The Hillgrounds neighbourhood is within Kempston North. The area used to be a hamlet called Kempston Up End, but was absorbed into the Kempston Urban District in 1896. Today, Addison Howard Park and Kempston Pool are located within the boundaries of Kempston North.

Grange Academy (formerly Grange School) is a coeducational special school located in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. The school accepts pupils between the ages of 5 and 16 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties from all over the Borough of Bedford. The school is currently organised into two departments: The Primary Department covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (ages 5 – 11) The Secondary Department covering Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11 – 16)In October 2009, Bedford Borough Council launched a consultation on the future of special education provision in the borough. The consultation included options to merge Grange School with the nearby Ridgeway School on the Ridgeway site. Another proposal involved merging the two schools with St John's School to create one special school for the whole of the Borough of Bedford. In January 2010, Bedford Borough Council confirmed its intention to merge Grange School and Ridgeway School on the Ridgeway site in the next few years. A new combined school would be rebuilt to accommodate the broader range of pupils that are planned to attend.However, in May 2012, Grange School submitted an application to become an academy. The application was successful, and the school converted to academy status in March 2013 and was renamed Grange Academy. The school is now independent of Bedford Borough Council control, which will affect the plans for the merger.
