Greenville-Pickens Speedway

The Upper SC State Fair is a country fair that has been held annually from 1964 to 2019, paused into 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and resuming in 2021 at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway between Greenville, South Carolina and Easley, South Carolina. It features many different types of rides, food, games, and entertainment.The first spring fair was held in 2023. The Upper SC State Fair has been known to bring top national acts to the fair over the years and recently has opened their stages to local acts. Some acts featured at the Upper SC State Fair have been: Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Silvertide, Charlie Daniels and Grand Funk Railroad.

Powdersville High School (PVHS) is a public high school in Powdersville, South Carolina, United States, a suburb of Greenville located in Anderson County. It is one of three high schools in Anderson School District One, and first opened in August 2011.

Saluda Lake is a 331-acre (1.34 km2) reservoir formed by a spillway from the uppermost dam on the Saluda River in South Carolina, United States. The lake was constructed in 1905 for the purpose of creating hydroelectric power. Duke Power Company formerly owned the lake and then sold it to North Brook Energy, LLC.

Woodson Farmstead was a historic agricultural property located off of Three Bridges Road near the intersection of South Carolina Highway 153 in Powdersville, South Carolina. It consisted of an early twentieth century fruit and pecan grove, a ca. 1875 well house and cotton house and a farmhouse built in 1895. The property was originally purchased in 1850 by William Woodson, who sold the property to his nephew, James Allen Woodson in 1892. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).In 1895, James Woodson commissioned Washington, D.C.-based builder John O. Scheck to design and construct his farmhouse. Unlike a typical farmhouse in the region, the two-story house was built with Eastlake and Queen Anne ornamentation including stained glass windows and an elaborately detailed porch.The farmhouse was the last building standing and it was demolished in 2011. However, the farmstead has not been delisted from the NRHP as of November 13, 2013.

Carolina High School (sometimes referred to as Carolina Academy or CHS) is located in Greenville, SC. It is a public and magnet high school in Greenville County School District. It serves ninth through twelfth grade students. The student population comes primarily from students who live in nearby neighborhoods and students who are enrolled in the magnet program. Tanglewood Middle School is one of the public middle schools that feed into Carolina High School. Carolina High School moved to its current location in 2006. The new facility was part of a district-wide building plan that aimed to improve Greenville County Schools. This offered Carolina High School a brighter atmosphere, updated systems (such as new HVACs), dedicated laboratory spaces, dedicated music rooms, dedicated band rooms, and two gymnasiums. The former school building was opened in September 1956. Carolina High School was a segregated school until 1968. Gwendolyn Dandy McGowens, a social studies teacher, was the first African-American teacher on the Carolina Academy staff. The school's magnet program includes the engineering academy, led by Mr. Jones, who was preceded by Mr. Roberson (a former engineer who studied at Florida University and MIT) The school also offers a health academy, which is now led by Erin Driggers. The former teacher of the health academy now serves as the Magnet Program Coordinator.

Brandon Mill, now the West Village Lofts, is a historic textile mill complex, situated just west of the city of Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina. The mill was built during the early decades of the 20th century and is one example of the mills in the Greenville "Textile Crescent" that became central to the economic development of the South Carolina upstate during this period. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, and the main mill has been converted into loft apartments.
