Newbury is a hamlet near the village of Erriottwood, in the Swale district, in the English county of Kent. It is near the town of Sittingbourne.

Bapchild is a village and civil parish in the Swale district of Kent, England, about two miles inside of Sittingbourne. It lies on the old Roman road (Watling Street) now the A2, and according to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 1,068, including Tonge, increasing to 1,141 at the 2011 Census.According to the Kentish antiquarian Edward Hasted in 1800, it was anciently written 'Beccanceld', which he claimed was the Old English for 'moist and bleak' as it was mostly marshland. However this is a false etymology. The place-name 'Bapchild' is first attested in an Anglo-Saxon charter of 696 AD, where it appears as Baccancelde. It appears as Bacchechild in the Pipe Rolls in 1197, and as Babchilde in 1572 in a charter in the British Museum. The name means 'Bacca's spring'. The second element celde is derived from the Old English ceald from which the modern word 'cold' derives.According to a late seventh- or early eighth-century charter, the Synod of Baccanceld was held in Bapchild, but historians now believe that the charter is a forgery.The village has its own church, the Grade I listed 'Church of St Lawrence'. in the diocese of Canterbury, in Kent, and in the deanery of Sittingbourne.Other listed buildings in the parish include, the former post office, No 35, The Street (on the A2 road), and No 1, School Lane Bapchild was also on the planned extension of the Swale Way, the Sittingbourne Northern Relief road built in 2010/11, which passes over Milton Creek and heads from the A249 road at Kemsley towards the Eurolink Industrial estate in Murston. Plans were to extend it, over the railway to Bapchild, and onwards to the Kent Science Park near Highsted, before joining the M2 Motorway, but these have been put on hold due to cost and planning issues.

Doddington is a village and civil parish in the district of Swale in Kent, England. The Syndale Valley shelters the central part in the Kent Downs Area of outstanding natural beauty. Today the village is notable for Doddington Place Gardens, for its remarkably well kept buildings and its house prices show higher prices than the home counties average.

Rodmersham is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Swale in the north of the English county of Kent. It is just under 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Bapchild on the A2 road and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south-east of the town of Sittingbourne. Rodmersham Green, which forms the bulk of the modern village, is 0.5 miles (0.80 km) to the south-west of the village church towards the Highsted Valley and Tunstall.

Lynsted is a village in Lynsted with Kingsdown civil parish in the Swale borough of Kent, England. The village is situated south of the A2 road between Faversham and Sittingbourne and the nearest M2 junction is Faversham three miles east. Lynsted is in many respects an archetypal old English village with church, churchyard with an ancient yew, pub (the Black Lion) and a duck pond. The village is locally referred to as Lovely, Lovely Lynsted and various songs have been written about it.

Highsted is a village near Sittingbourne in Kent, England. It is in the civil parish of Rodmersham. Most of the village is on Highsted Valley road leading northwards towards Cromer's Wood. The rest of the village is on Stockers Hill leading eastwards to Rodmersham Green. According to Edward Hasted, in 1798, the estate of 'Hysted Forstall' with 'Chilston' and 'Fulston' were on the boundary of the Parish of Sittingbourne. Latterly, the manors of Chilston and Fulston have been absorbed into the outer suburbs of Sittingbourne in post-1940s house building. Highsted contains three listed buildings, 'Highsted Farmhouse',(Grade II listed), 'Stanley Villas'(also Grade II listed) and 'Old Cottage' (also Grade II listed)On the Broadoak Road (between Tunstall and Milstead), is the Kent Science Park.Woodstock Sports F.C. 'The TClarke Stadium' is on the Broadoak Road as well.

The Sittingbourne School is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Sittingbourne, Kent, with around 1600 students. This school was previously called "The Sittingbourne community college" before being changed due to claims of SCC standing for "Sittingbourne Crime Center". This also happened because of the school becoming more accessible for people outside of college, specifically in 2019. The school is part of the Swale Academies Trust which also includes Westlands Nursery, Westlands Primary School, Regis Manor Primary School, South Borough Primary School, Beaver Green Primary School, Westlands School and Meopham School.

Cromers Wood is a 28-hectare (69-acre) nature reserve between Milstead and Sittingbourne in Kent. It is managed by Kent Wildlife Trust.This ancient semi-natural wood is located on the south-east slope of a dry valley. There are birds such as sparrowhawks, green woodpeckers and great spotted woodpeckers, and flora include early purple and common spotted orchids.There is public access to the site.
