Thomas R. Proctor High School

Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) is a public community college in Oneida County, New York. It is part of the State University of New York system. MVCC was founded in 1946 as the first community college established in New York State and currently consists of the main campus in Utica, N.Y., and a branch campus in Rome, New York It is the largest college between Syracuse, N.Y., and Albany, N.Y. MVCC offers degrees and certificates in more than 90 areas including liberal arts, nursing, surgical technology, computer science, remotely piloted aircraft systems, graphic design, criminal justice, airframe and power plant technology (aviation maintenance), engineering, culinary arts, and accounting. MVCC also has non-credit courses available through its Corporate and Community Education Department, including training for security guards, Certified Nurse Assistants, paralegals, and tractor-trailer drivers. This department also has a variety of leisure learning courses and camps for kids throughout the year.

Utica Armory is a historic National Guard armory building located in Utica in Oneida County, New York. It is a structural steel structure with brick curtain walls built in 1930 for Troop A, 121st Cavalry, and designed by State architect William Haugaard. It consists of a two-story administration building with an attached three story drill shed. The administrative building features Tudor inspired towers, turrets and crenelated parapets.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Memorial Church of the Holy Cross is a historic Episcopal church at 841 Bleecker Street in Utica, Oneida County, New York. It was built in 1891 and is a cruciform plan structure with a rectangular nave that intersects two flanking transepts at the apse. It is in the High Victorian Gothic style. It is currently occupied by a Ukrainian Orthodox congregation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Utica Parks and Parkway Historic District is a national historic district located at Utica in Oneida County, New York. It consists of four contributing historic elements: a historic right-of-way known as the Memorial Parkway and the three large parks it connects: Roscoe Conkling Park, F.T. Proctor Park, and T.R. Proctor Park. The district includes seven contributing buildings, three contributing sites, 26 contributing structures, and five contributing objects. The park and parkway system was designed between 1908 and 1914 by the firm of Olmsted Brothers Landscape Associates, headed by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. The Utica Zoo is located in Roscoe Conkling Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Roscoe Conkling House is a historic house at 3 Rutger Park in Utica, New York, United States. A National Historic Landmark, it was the home of Roscoe Conkling (1829–1888), a powerful and controversial politician. He is responsible, perhaps, for the angry, political atmosphere that led to the assassination of U.S. President James Garfield.

Calvary Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church building at 1101 Howard Avenue in Utica, Oneida County, New York. It was built in 1870-1872 and is an asymmetrically massed, cruciform plan structure with a rectangular nave and intersecting apse, with a substantial engaged corner tower. It was designed by noted New York City architect Henry M. Congdon. It is currently home to the Cathedral of the Theotokos of Great Grace.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Bagg's Hotel was located in Utica, New York. The Bagg's Tavern preceded it and hosted General George Washington, General Lafayette, Henry Clay and General Ulysses S. Grant. It was a log house founded in 1794 by Moses Bagg. Bagg's Square Memorial Park marks the historic location.

Byington Mill (Frisbie & Stansfield Knitting Company), also known as the J. A. Firsching & Son Building, is a historic knitting mill located at Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was designed by Utica architect Frederick H. Gouge and was built in 1910 as a four-story structure; a fifth floor was added before 1929. It consists of a rectangular main block built of brick load bearing walls, a heavy timber frame, and a flat roof. A two-story office wing and one story shop section was originally attached to the building. However, this addition was demolished in 2007 when the city erroneously issued a permit to do so. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.The city of Utica repossessed the building in 1983 and sold it to the Cobblestone Construction Co. in 1999. Cobblestone struggled to attract tenants, and left the building in 2008. The building was purchased by Pezzolanella Construction in 2009 for $315,972, and they are presently restoring the structure.

Hurd & Fitzgerald Building, also known as the Hurd Sales Company, is a historic factory building located at Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was built in 1911 and is a five-story, rectangular brick building built for a shoe and rubber goods manufacturer.It was a work of Utica architect Frederick H. Gouge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Doyle Hardware Building is a historic factory building located at 330 Main St in Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was built in three sections between 1881 and 1901. The entire four story complex is approximately 100 feet by 260 feet with 82,000 square feet of space. It was a work of Utica architect Frederick H. Gouge. Built originally as a clothing factory, in 1934 it became a factory for manufacture of spark plugs, and in 1947 became home to Utica Distributing Company, later Doyle Hardware.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Utica Daily Press Building, also known as Gaffney Communications, is a historic building located at Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was built in 1904-1905 as offices and printing plant for the Utica Daily Press. It consists of a 3+1⁄2-story rectangular brick main block, with two 1-story additions.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Children's Museum of History, Natural History & Science, better known as the Utica Children's Museum was founded on August 1, 1963, and is housed in a historic building located in the heart of Utica's downtown Bagg's Square district. The Museum offers approximately 60 exhibits and experiences throughout four floors of mostly interactive exhibits play space and is a hands-on, interactive museum.
