Bagg's Hotel was located in Utica, New York. The Bagg's Tavern preceded it and hosted General George Washington, General Lafayette, Henry Clay and General Ulysses S. Grant. It was a log house founded in 1794 by Moses Bagg. Bagg's Square Memorial Park marks the historic location.

Byington Mill (Frisbie & Stansfield Knitting Company), also known as the J. A. Firsching & Son Building, is a historic knitting mill located at Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was designed by Utica architect Frederick H. Gouge and was built in 1910 as a four-story structure; a fifth floor was added before 1929. It consists of a rectangular main block built of brick load bearing walls, a heavy timber frame, and a flat roof. A two-story office wing and one story shop section was originally attached to the building. However, this addition was demolished in 2007 when the city erroneously issued a permit to do so. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.The city of Utica repossessed the building in 1983 and sold it to the Cobblestone Construction Co. in 1999. Cobblestone struggled to attract tenants, and left the building in 2008. The building was purchased by Pezzolanella Construction in 2009 for $315,972, and they are presently restoring the structure.

Hurd & Fitzgerald Building, also known as the Hurd Sales Company, is a historic factory building located at Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was built in 1911 and is a five-story, rectangular brick building built for a shoe and rubber goods manufacturer.It was a work of Utica architect Frederick H. Gouge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Doyle Hardware Building is a historic factory building located at 330 Main St in Utica in Oneida County, New York. It was built in three sections between 1881 and 1901. The entire four story complex is approximately 100 feet by 260 feet with 82,000 square feet of space. It was a work of Utica architect Frederick H. Gouge. Built originally as a clothing factory, in 1934 it became a factory for manufacture of spark plugs, and in 1947 became home to Utica Distributing Company, later Doyle Hardware.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Children's Museum of History, Natural History & Science, better known as the Utica Children's Museum was founded on August 1, 1963, and is housed in a historic building located in the heart of Utica's downtown Bagg's Square district. The Museum offers approximately 60 exhibits and experiences throughout four floors of mostly interactive exhibits play space and is a hands-on, interactive museum.

It was built in 1904-1905 as offices and printing plant for the Utica Daily Press. It consists of a 3+1⁄2-story rectangular brick main block, with two 1-story additions.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Thomas R. Proctor High School is the only high school in the Utica City School District in Utica, New York. The school was built in 1934 with funds from the Works Progress Administration and Thomas R. Proctor. It opened its doors on September 9, 1936. The school is the only public high school in Utica after Utica Free Academy closed in 1990.

The National Distance Running Hall of Fame was established on July 11, 1998, to honor those who have contributed to the sport of distance running. Many of those who are inducted have achieved great success as runners, but some members are enshrined for their ability to bring fame and recognition to the sport of running. Many of the individuals inducted into this prestigious Hall of Fame, are extremely influential in regard to the recognition and progress the American distance running has undergone throughout the years. The National Distance Running Hall of Fame is located in Utica, New York, United States. Inside the Hall are pictures, videos and other memorabilia that provide the history of the sport through the eyes of both the runners and spectators. The city of Utica was selected to be the home of the running hall of fame because it hosts the annual Boilermaker Road Race—one of the largest 15 km road races in the US. The Boilermaker Road race attracts thousands of racers, and thousands of more spectators to the City of Utica, New York, making it the perfect place to be house the National Distance Running Hall of Fame. Track and field and distance running are sports that rely heavily upon sponsorship money and donations in order to have everything they need to compete at a high level. Some years come up much shorter than other years in funding and donations, which can cause ripple effects throughout the whole sport. No induction ceremonies occurred in 2004, 2007 and 2009. In 2007, it was due to the search for a new executive director, the 30th running of the Boilermaker Road Race, and construction to the Stanley Theater stage, which is where the ceremony takes place. In 2009, the struggling economy caused too few sponsors to donate money for the event. With the inclusion of Grete Waitz and Priscilla Welch, the membership is not limited to Americans. Both athletes represented other countries internationally (coincidentally both in the 1984 Olympic Marathon, the first Olympic marathon for women), though they had an extensive running history in the United States.

Utica Canal Terminal Harbor, commonly known as Utica Harbor, is a small man-made harbor in Utica, Oneida County, New York. The harbor was once connected to the Mohawk River and the Erie Canal by the Utica Harbor Lock, which is now permanently closed and used only for flood control.
