Darlington Railway Athletic Football Club is a football club based in Darlington, England. They are currently members of the Wearside League Premier Division and play at Brinkburn Road.

Darlington Hebrew Congregation, a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism, is a Reform Judaism congregation at 15 Bloomfield Road in Darlington, County Durham, in the north-east of England. The congregation, which dates from 1904 and was originally an Orthodox community, has a historic burial ground and a current burial ground at West Cemetery, Carmel Road North, Darlington. Shabbat services are held monthly.

Faverdale is a suburb of Darlington in County Durham, England. It is situated in the north west of Darlington, north of Cockerton. The area was rural until the 20th century, a large wagon works was established in the 1920s, with housing development starting at the same time. The wagon works closed in the 1960s and further industrial and commercial development took place expanding from the brownfield site. As of 2012 the area has a mixture of industrial, residential and rural land use.

Darlington College of Education was a teacher training college which existed for over one hundred years in the town of Darlington, County Durham in northern England. The college was founded in 1876 by the British and Foreign School Society at Vane Terrace, Darlington. Details of the college's physical expansion, student residences and principals can be found on the website of the Darlington Arts Centre which now occupies its former main building. (See External Link) For most of its life the college was mainly concerned with the training of nursery school teachers. A period of rapid expansion in the 1960s saw it grow in size to about 450 students by the early 1970s. A general training for infant and junior teachers was offered, as well as three specialist courses in biology, mathematics and physical education for secondary teachers. Academic validation of courses was provided by the University of Durham.Darlington was one of nearly fifty colleges forced to close down because of an enormous cut-back in planned teacher numbers by central government. David Hencke's book on these events selects Darlington as one of four case studies and explores the political vulnerability of the college. The final cohort of students left the college in 1978.

Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, or QE as it is commonly known, is a sixth form college on Vane Terrace in Darlington, County Durham, England. It educates nearly 2000 students from Darlington and the surrounding areas with students coming from Stockton, Richmond, Newton Aycliffe and elsewhere. It is situated near the town centre, next to Stanhope Park.

Rathergood Radio, formerly known as Star Radio (in County Durham), was an Independent Local Radio station. It formerly broadcast in Darlington, County Durham, North Yorkshire and surrounding areas on FM. The County Durham licences were owned and operated by UKRD Group until 31 March 2017, when it was purchased and later rebranded by View TV Group. In July 2019 Helius Media Group purchased the FM licences from View TV Group and rebranded the County Durham frequencies as Durham Radio & Alpha Radio (now broadcasting as Sun FM as of March 2020).

Carmel College (formerly Carmel RC College) is a secondary school on The Headlands in Hummersknott, Darlington, England. It also has a sixth form, Carmel College Sixth Form admitting about 150 students each year. Following an OFSTED inspection in 2013, Carmel was graded as outstanding in all categories. It is part of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust (formerly Carmel Education Trust) which includes 35 schools in the North East Region. The current principal is Melanie Kane.

Carmel College Sixth Form is a sixth form college on The Headlands in Hummersknott, Darlington, England. It is a post-16 extension of Carmel College, A Catholic Academy of which the college is attached to.

West Park is an area of Darlington, in County Durham, England. The area covers 49 hectares (121 acres) of land,It consists of: 37 hectare West Park Village: at least 700 residential properties, a mix of commercial properties, and other facilities. 12 hectare West Park Nature Reserve: the first new park to be created in Darlington in the last 100 years. A hospital West Park Hospital, opened 2004. A school, 'West Park Academy', opened 2005.The West Park development has won several national awards, including a Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Sustainable Communities Award, and a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Gold Award For Regeneration.

High Grange is an area of Faverdale on the north western edge of Darlington, Durham, England. The mayor of High Grange is Dave Johnson who has clamped down on vandalism in the area by introducing a "Mayor tax" to residents. The area itself is a large, sought after housing estate, consisting mainly of newly built detached and semi detached houses. The estate consists of five medium-sized green fields, which children are often seen using to play on. The estate is said to be 'family friendly'. It contains one road which continues around the whole of the estate with cul-de-sacs branching off it. The estate is roughly square-shaped from a birds eye perspective. There are four entrances of which the estate can be entered, three of which can only be used by pedestrians. Some of the names of the streets are named after places in the Midlands, for example, Charnwood Drive is named after the borough in Leicestershire and Alverton Drive after the Nottinghamshire village.
