It is the terminus of West Virginia Route 20. The community has no post office, its residences being a part of Bluefield for postal purposes. Its name is derived from being halfway between Bluefield and Bramwell. The community is adjacent to Pinnacle Rock State Park. It has become an active spot for Pocahontas Trail ATV riders of the Hatfield-Mcoy Trail system with many business catering to them.

Littlesburg is an unincorporated community in Mercer County, West Virginia, United States. Littlesburg is located on West Virginia Route 20, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north of Bluefield.

Service was subsidized by the Essential Air Service program until August 1, 2006, when it ended due to federal law not allowing a subsidy over $200 per passenger for communities within 210 miles of a large or medium hub airport (Charlotte/Douglas International Airport in North Carolina being 173 miles away). Federal Aviation Administration records say Mercer County Airport had 2,041 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2004, 1,885 enplanments in 2005, 1,833 in 2006 and 1,721 in 2007. Scheduled passenger flights ended in 2007.

The boundary increase added 27 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure. The non-contiguous district encompasses formerly independent coal mining oriented communities now incorporated into Bramwell. These communities include Freeman, Ramey Addition, Simmons, and Cooper. The district is characterized by company houses built as residences for miners. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. A boundary increase was added in 2005.

The district includes 65 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Bramwell. Most of the buildings pre-date the 1920s. Notable buildings include the Bramwell Town Hall (c. 1889), Bryant Building (c. 1910) (Bryant Pharmacy and soda fountain, the pharmacy later became the Corner Shop Diner with the original soda fountain), Masonic Hall (c. 1893-1894), Cooper House (1910), Cooper Indoor Pool (1910), Cooper Garage Apartment (1910), Bank of Bramwell (c. 1893), Perry House (c. 1901-1904), Hewitt House (1914-1915), Hewitt Garage Apartment (1914-1915), Mann House, Bramwell Presbyterian Church (1902), Goodwill House (c. 1894, 1905), Thomas House (c. 1909-1912), Thomas Garage / Apartment (c. 1909-1912), Buck/Bowen House (c. 1900), Mann Playhouse (c. 1910), Freeman House (c. 1893), and Former Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (c. 1895). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Brush Fork (also spelled Brushfork) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mercer County, West Virginia, United States. Brush Fork is 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of Bluefield. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,197. The community takes its name from nearby Brush Fork creek which flows into the Bluestone River. The West Virginia National Guard Brushfork Armory is located in the community. In addition to its National Guard functions it also hosts basketball games for Bluefield High School, commencements for local colleges and high schools, and other events. The Armory received 1.9 million dollars in 2024 for the planning and design of a new readiness center at the Brushfork Armory that meets all requirements for anti-terrorism and force protection in Bluefield. Tourism in Brushfork is gaining with visitors to the Hatfield-Mcoy Trails traveling and staying in the area.
