Taholah, Washington

The Quinault Cultural Center and Museum is a museum of culture in Taholah, Washington, owned and funded by the Quinault Indian Nation. It contains artifacts, arts, and crafts of the Quinault, housed in a converted retail building.: 735 : 54  Some of the art forms have been influenced by Polynesian cultural motifs, brought home by World War II veterans.The museum received a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in 2012 to conduct research, publish a guidebook, and create a mobile museum exhibit on the tribe's ethnobotanical heritage.In 2013, the Cultural Center hosted workshops on paddle- and drum-making for thousands of visitors to the Tribal Canoe Journeys.

The Quinault River ( or ) is a 69-mile (111 km) long river located on the Olympic Peninsula in the U.S. state of Washington. It originates deep in the Olympic Mountains in the Olympic National Park. It flows southwest through the "Enchanted Valley" to opposite Quinault Canyon. Several miles above Lake Quinault the river is joined by its main tributary, the North Fork Quinault River. The main stem Quinault River above this confluence is sometimes called the East Fork Quinault River. Below the confluence the river marks the boundary of Olympic National Park for several miles before emptying into Lake Quinault. After the lake, the Quinault River flows southwest, reaching the Pacific at Taholah. From Lake Quinault to the ocean, the river is contained within the Quinault Indian Reservation. The Quinault River's drainage basin is 188 square miles (487 km2) in area. Its main tributaries include the North Fork Quinault River, Graves Creek, Fox Creek, and Cook Creek.A well maintained trail follows the East Fork of the Quinault from Graves Creek to the Enchanted Valley Ranger Station through old growth rain forest. In early summer snow melt creates many waterfalls in the valley, giving it the name "Valley of a Thousand Waterfalls".The Quinault River has been reaching new recorded lows in recent years, as it was fed by the Anderson Glacier which had melted away by 2011.

Sonora Reef is a reef off the west coast of Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. It is located near the mouth of the Quinault River. Sonora reef was named for the Sonora, a Spanish schooner captained by Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra in his and Bruno de Heceta's 1775 expedition from Mexico to the Pacific Northwest.

Point Grenville is a headland of Washington state. The point was named Punta de los Mártires ("Point of the Martyrs") during the 1775 expedition of Bruno de Heceta in response to an attack by the local Quinault Indians. This site is sacred to the Quinault and was developed to host the 2013 Paddle to Quinault.

Santiago is a census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 42 at the 2010 census.The community is in the Quinault Indian Nation in western Grays Harbor County, along State Route 109, next to the Pacific Ocean. SR 109 leads north 5 miles (8 km) to its northern terminus at Taholah and south 5 miles (8 km) to Moclips. Point Grenville, a 120-foot-high (37 m) cliff rising from the ocean, is 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of Santiago and is the site of the Quinault Nations' Haynisisoos Park. The Copalis National Wildlife Refuge occupies the ocean and rocks seaward from the coastline along Santiago and environs. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Santiago CDP has an area of 1.57 square miles (4.06 km2), all of it land.

The Chow Chow Bridge was an early, wooden cable-stayed bridge crossing the Quinault River on the Quinault Indian Reservation near Taholah, Grays Harbor County, Washington. It was built for the first time in 1952 and finally removed in 1988. Frank Milward designed the bridge for Aloha Lumber Company.The bridge collapsed three times and was rebuilt twice. Timbers were made into cedar shakes for the tribal center in Taholah after the final 1988 collapse. It was one of the first cable-stayed bridges in the U.S., and the first in Washington.In 1971, the bridge was closed by Joe DeLaCruz and other Quinault in protest of unfair resource extraction on the reservation.: 32 : 316 

The Moclips River is a river in the U.S. state of Washington. It is about 12 miles (19 km) long. Its main tributary, the North Fork Moclips River, is longer than the main stem. The length of the North Fork, along with the lower main stem below the North Fork's confluence, is 17 miles (27 km). The drainage basin of the Moclips River is 22.4 square miles (58 km2) in area.

Moclips is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 207 at the 2010 census. It is located near the mouth of the Moclips River. According to Edmond S. Meany, the word moclips comes from a Quinault word meaning a place where girls were sent as they were approaching puberty. However, according to William Bright, the name comes from the Quinault word meaning simply "large stream".

Qui-nai-elt Village is a census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 54 at the 2010 census.The community is in the southwestern part of the Quinault Indian Nation in western Grays Harbor County, about 2 miles (3 km) east of the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered to the south by the community of Moclips. The Moclips Highway runs past the village, leading southwest to Moclips and northeast 19 miles (31 km) to U.S. Route 101 near Neilton.

KXPB-LP (89.9 FM, "Your host on the Coast") is a radio station broadcasting a variety music format. Licensed to Pacific Beach, Washington, United States, the station is currently owned by the Pacific Beach Food Bank. It serves Pacific Beach and Moclips, Washington.

Pacific Beach is a census-designated place (CDP) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 291 at the 2010 census. Prior to 2010 it was part of the Moclips CDP.

Seabrook is an unincorporated planned community in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. Founded in 2004 by developers Casey and Laura Roloff, Seabrook is a beach town based on the concept of New Urbanism.Seabrook has a town hall, a Montessori school, and as of 2023 had 18 parks. A majority of its homes are vacation rentals. A grocery store and business district opened in 2023. A major expansion with 1,300 homes and a hotel began construction in 2023 and is scheduled to be completed in 2025. Future plans include a medical clinic, school, and a regenerative farm.
