Henrietta is found in the town of Vacoas-Phoenix, Mauritius. It is said to be the 'finishing part' of Vacoas as beyond it there is only forest.

Mare aux Vacoas is the largest reservoir in Mauritius. It is located in Plaines Wilhems, in the southwest of the island, to the south of the town of Curepipe. It has a capacity of 25,890,000 cubic metres (914,000,000 cu ft) and provides water to the upper Plaines Wilhems and to Moka. It was constructed in 1885.

Vacoas-Phoenix (Mauritian Creole pronunciation: [vakwa feniks]) also known as French: Villes Jumelles (Twin Cities), is a town in Mauritius, located in the Plaines Wilhems District, the eastern part also lies in the Moka District. The town is administered by the Municipal Council of Vacoas-Phoenix. The town lies between Quatre Bornes and Curepipe.

The Municipal Council of Vacoas-Phoenix (French: Conseil Municipal de Vacoas-Phoenix) also known as Municipality is the local authority responsible for the administration of the town of Vacoas-Phoenix, Plaines Wilhems District, Mauritius. The Mayor is Praveen Kumar Ramburn and the Deputy Mayor Mike Manfred Roy Mungur.

Plaines Wilhems (Mauritian Creole pronunciation: [plɛn wilɛmz]) is a district of Mauritius. It is the most populous district, with an estimated population of 366,506 at the end of 2018. The district is mainly urban; it consists of four towns, the village of Midlands and part of two other villages. The Plaines Wilhems district does not have a District Council; it has four Municipal Town Councils. The towns are Beau-Bassin Rose-Hill, Curepipe, Quatre Bornes and Vacoas-Phoenix. The villages are Midlands, Cascavelle (East - West in Rivière Noire district) and Moka (West- East in Moka district). The district was named after Wilhem Leicknig. Of Prussian origin, he settled on the island of Mauritius, then known as Isle de France, in 1721.

Trou aux Cerfs (also known as Murr's Volcano) is a dormant volcano with a well-defined cone and crater. It is 605 m (1,985 ft) high and located in Curepipe, Mauritius. The crater has been alternately described as 300 and 350 meters in diameter, and is 80 meters deep.The crater was formed less than 2 million years ago in the second phase of volcanic activity that created Mauritius.According to experts, the volcano is currently dormant but could become active at any time within the next thousand years.The crater is only accessible down a steep embankment which is considered dangerous. Water and silt have clogged the crater, making it even less accessible.

Rivière Noire (Mauritian Creole pronunciation: [ʁivjɛː nwɑː]) or Black River ([blak ɹivə]) is a district on the western side of the island of Mauritius. Rivière Noire translates to Black River. This region receives less rainfall than the others. The district has an area of 259 square kilometres (100 sq mi) and the population was estimated to be 80,939 as of 31 December 2015. It is the third largest district of Mauritius in area, but the smallest in terms of population. The district is mostly rural, but it also include the western part of the city of Port Louis and western part of Quatre Bornes.

Rempart Mountain is a mountain near Tamarin in Mauritius's western district of Rivière Noire. Rempart Mountain is one of the highest promanance in mauritius, as it's based on 3 Peaks from the, west the Big gorila Peak other AKA the fist ridge as it has a height of 772m the middle peak is slightly taller than the trois mamelles around the 600 as the peak name is Montagne Kasé and the smallest peak in the east is the original name is the Rempart which measure a height of 545 mauritius the fact the many people don't know this as we got the real information from the U0M and from Casela. The mountain type is based on dried rock and is not easy to climb however they the amazing ladder removed, the mountain itself is in private property as it needs permission to climb and requires an expert but nevertheless many people trespass the property to climb, as those peoples says,. it's considered to be the 4th highest mountain of mauritius after le pouce.

Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire (Little Black River Peak) is the highest mountain on the island of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean. Located in the Rivière Noire District and rising to a height of 828 m (2,717 ft) above sea level, it forms part of the Black River mountain range. There are two other main mountain ranges in Mauritius: Moka-Port Louis and Grand Port-Savanne. The Moka-Port Louis range includes Pieter Both (820 m) and Le Pouce (811 m) mountains, the second and third highest summits respectively. Both are more famous than Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire in the southwest. The summit of Piton de la Petite Riviere Noire can be reached by various paths, the most common route is from Plaine Champagne, however there are routes from Chamarel and also from the Black River Gorges Visitors centre. On the summit there is a bench called "Bench 828".

Curepipe Botanic Gardens (or SSR Botanical Garden of Curepipe) in Route des Jardins, Curepipe, is the second largest botanical garden in Mauritius. It has a relatively informal layout, and contains a river, lake and the world's rarest palm tree among other attractions.

The Royal College Curepipe (commonly known as RCC) is considered as one of the most prestigious secondary school with high admission standards in Curepipe, Mauritius. Since 1791 it has be regarded as a school of excellence and started to build a constant laureateship as from the 1800s. In the past, it only admitted boys having achieved the best results at the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) exams, based on national rankings. RCC has a tradition of Higher School Certificate (HSC) laureates who compete for state scholarships for tertiary studies abroad. Following education system reforms and the introduction of nine year schooling, RCC was converted into an Academy in 2021. Thus becoming a co-education institution admitting the best performing male and female students of the National Certificate of Education who have obtained 8 aggregates only.

The 1911 Curepipe riots refer to violent clashes which broke out in the historic town of Curepipe and then spread to Port Louis on the island of Mauritius on 19 January 1911. The riots also came to be known as Election Rabble Riots of 1911 by the administrators in London.
