Westminster High School (simplified Chinese: 培元中学; traditional Chinese: 培元中學; pinyin: Péiyuán Zhōngxué; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Pôe-goân Tiong-o̍h / Pôe-oân Tiong-o̍h; acronym: WHS), founded by Madam Elizabeth Kho in 1935, is a private, Chinese, Christian educational institution in Manila, Philippines. It has a sister-school under the same name in Taiwan. Since the 1930s, the school had been offering Chinese courses from kindergarten up to high school, however, in 2001, it abolished the Chinese curriculum and ceased from participating in sports competitions with other Chinese schools in Metro Manila. As a result, the student population of Chinese and Filipino-Chinese has declined steadily over the years. Recently, under the new management, the school refurbished its facilities, adopted the Singaporean Math method to its curriculum, and reintroduced Chinese language classes to its students.

Smokey Mountain was the term coined for a large landfill once located in Tondo, Manila.

The Estero de Vitas is one of the rivulets, known as esteros, which delineated the small islands which historically constituted the city of Manila and its predecessors, the Tagalog polities (called bayan) of Maynila and Tondo. These esteros, along with the larger rivers of Manila Bay and the Pasig River delta, originally formed an important connecting network which allowed the precolonial polities of that Tagalog and Kapampangan peoples. The Estero de Vitas drains water from Manila as far as Tayuman Street, and then dumps water directly to Manila Bay. It is connected to the Navotas River, as well as to Canal de la Reina and Estero de Sunog Apog.

The Caloocan–Malabon–Navotas (CAMANA) Water Reclamation Facility is a sewage treatment plant under-construction in Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines. If completed, it will become the largest sewage treatment plant in the Philippines with a capacity to process 205 million liters (54,000,000 U.S. gal) of used water daily.The groundbreaking ceremony for the CAMANA Water Reclamation Facility project of Manila Water was held in November 2019, but actual construction was announced to have started in March 2021. The project is an expansion of the existing 26 MLD Dagat-Dagatan Sewage Treatment Plant which was built in the 1980s. Manila Water contracted DM Consunji Inc. (DMCI) to work on the expansion. Japanese firm JFE Engineering Corporation is also involved in the project.The sewage treatment plant is intended to serve the southern exclave of Caloocan, Malabon and Navotas which is within the scope of Manila Water's west zone. It is expected to become operational in 2024.

It currently runs along part of the boundaries of Manila's 1st and 2nd legislative districts. The Estero de Sunog Apog drains water from Manila as far north as Estero de Maypajo (also sometimes called Estero de Maypad), and then dumps water into Manila Bay via Estero de Vitas. It forms the east bank of the Isla de Balut, along with Estero de Vitas which forms the island's west bank, and Estero de Maypajo and the Navotas River to the island's north.

Mel Lopez Boulevard is a 6.2-kilometer (3.9 mi), six-to-ten lane divided highway in northern Manila, Philippines, connecting Bonifacio Drive in Port Area in the south with Radial Road 10 (R-10) in Navotas in the north. The highway is the main component of the R-10 network, which runs north of the Pasig River, and is an extension of Bonifacio Drive (Radial Road 1 or R-1) north of the Anda Circle, running north–south through the Manila North Port area serving the coastal districts of Tondo and Port Area, as well as San Nicolas and Intramuros.

In early Philippine history, the Tagalog settlement at Tondo (Tagalog: [tunˈdo]; Baybayin: ᜆᜓᜈ᜔ᜇᜓ) was a major trade hub located on the northern part of the Pasig River delta, on Luzon island. Together with Maynila, the polity (bayan) that was also situated on the southern part of the Pasig River delta, had established a shared monopoly on the trade of Chinese goods throughout the rest of the Philippine archipelago, making it an established force in trade throughout Southeast Asia and East Asia.Tondo is of particular interest to Filipino historians and historiographers because it is one of the oldest historically documented settlements in the Philippines. Scholars generally agree that it was mentioned in the Laguna Copperplate Inscription, the Philippines oldest extant locally produced written document, dating back to 900 A.D.Following contact with the Spanish Empire beginning in 1570 and the defeat of local rulers in the Manila Bay area in 1571, Tondo was ruled from Intramuros, a Spanish fort built on the remains of the Manila polity. Tondo's absorption into the Spanish Empire effectively ended its status as an independent political entity; it now exists as a district of the modern City of Manila.

The Navotas Polytechnic College also referred to by its acronym NPC, is a public, non-sectarian, coeducational higher education institution run by the city government of Navotas in Navotas City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was founded in 1994 by virtue of Municipal Ordinance (M.O). No. 94-06 of the Municipal Council of Navotas (now City of Navotas), which was signed on May 18, 1994. At present NPC offers degree programs in business administration, education, computer technology, short-term courses.

North Bay Boulevard is a 2.34-kilometer-long (1.45 mi) two- to four-lane access road in the Navotas Fish Port Complex of northern Metro Manila, Philippines. It is one of the main roads in Navotas which travels north-south through the southern parts of the city running parallel to Radial Road 10 (R-10) to the west. The road links the Balut area of Tondo in Manila and San Rafael Village in the south to the central Navotas barangay of Bagumbayan South in the north. It was named after its location in Manila Bay north of the Manila North Harbor complex.

Florentino Torres High School, commonly known as Torres High School (THS), is located in Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila, Philippines. It is one of the oldest public schools in Metro Manila.

Solis station is a railway station located on the North Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. After being abandoned for 20 years, and after nearly 10 years since the station's reconstruction, PNR reopened the Solis Station as part of Caloocan-Dela Rosa line, on August 1, 2018.Due to nearly a decade of disuse since its rehabilitation, the station has been weathered and its gate barriers have been vandalized, and in the case of its westbound barrier, dismantled and possibly stolen. It did not have running electricity until after its reactivation. This station was closed to rail traffic on 1997. On 2009, the station's new platforms were constructed but it was never opened until 2018 where it is once again active with the launching of the Caloocan-Dela Rosa shuttle line.
