Egypt is an unincorporated community in Jordan Township, Jasper County, Indiana.Welsh (formerly Egypt) Cemetery is located in Egypt, Indiana. Some of the first burials in Welsh Cemetery were in 1841, and the name "Egypt Cemetery" was in use until at least 1916.

Carpenter Township is one of thirteen townships in Jasper County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,953 and it contained 881 housing units.

Since 1895, Fountain Park has hosted an annual Chatauqua to promote religious, social and educational activities. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 7, 2001. At one time there were an estimated 85 Chautauquas in Indiana alone. Of these, only six continue the Chautauqua tradition including the cities of Columbus, Jeffersonville, Madison, Merom, Remington, and Rome City. Most host weekend festivals for art competitions, music, crafts, and historical re-enactments. Fountain Park Chautauqua continues in the tradition of a two-week event, which includes Sunday School, church services as well as family-oriented entertainment including singing groups and bands, speakers, art classes, talent shows and other recreational activities. Fountain Park is one of a few with permanent structures that built specifically for the Chautauqua. These include a tabernacle, recreational building, hotel and seventy cottages.

The Water Tower was built in 1897 by Challenge Wind and Feed mill Company of Batavia, Illinois. This is a rare wooden tank atop a brick tower type of water tower. Built on a limestone foundation, it is 140 feet (43 m) tall and about 20 feet (6.1 m) in diameter. The brick walls are 2 feet (0.61 m) thick. The original tank was replaced by the Challenge Company in 1924. The tank is made of horizontal battens of cypress, held in place by metal binder rings. The Water Tower and Town Hall, constructed in 1897. Remington, the largest community in Carpenter Township. The town has of approximately 1250 people, founded in 1860. The area is predominantly agricultural. The early stimulus for the growth was the Toledo, Logansport & Burlington Railroad line, established in 1859. The water tower was in use until 1984 when a new water tower was built. The Challenge Wind Mill & Feed Mill Company of Batavia, Illinois constructed the water tower and town hall. Built with a limestone foundation, common bond brick tower and cypress wood tank measure 104 feet (32 m) high and 20 feet (6.1 m) in diameter. The brick walls are 2 feet (0.61 m) thick. The water tank holds 66,000 US gallons (250,000 L). The double semicircular header bond arched opening holds two ledged batten doors that open out. A dedication plaque from the Challenge Wind Mill and Feed Mill Company is affixed above the door. Spiraling up the water tower are a series of eight arched wood frame windows with limestone sills. There are two windows on each "side" facing the cardinal points.The water tank is constructed of horizontally curved cypress battens and dates to 1927. The roof of the water tank was originally cedar shingles but it was replaced in 2003 with plywood and rolled shingles. The 18 by 12 feet (5.5 by 3.7 m) single story brick structure on the east side may have housed the town hall. It sits on a limestone foundation and is constructed of painted common bond brick. The low pitched gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and conforms on the west end to the curve of the water tower.

Goodland-Grant Township Public Library, also known as the Mitten Memorial Building, is a historic library building located at Goodland, Newton County, Indiana. It was built in 1931, and is a one-story, rectangular, Colonial Revival style steel frame building on a raised basement. It has hollow tile walls, is sheathed in limestone, and has a slate gable roof.: 5  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

McCairn-Turner House, also known as the Gilman-Turner House, is a historic home located at Goodland, Indiana. The original section was built about 1869, received an addition about 1875, and renovated in the Italianate style in 1886–1887. It is a two-story, frame dwelling sheathed in clapboard siding. A kitchen addition was constructed in 1908. It features a two-story, three sided projecting bay and one-story full length porch.: 5–6  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994, and was delisted in 2023.

It is named for Mount Gilboa, a prominence in the southern part of the township. It was created in 1866 out of the northern part of Pine Township, after the petition of 21 residents there.

Union Township is one of eleven townships in Benton County, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, its population was 283 and it contained 92 housing units. The township was organized in June 1864 and named by John W. Nutt "because of the loyalty shown in furnishing soldiers for the Union army."
