Alexander Ramsey House

The Justus Ramsey Stone House is the oldest known house still standing in Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The house, located at 252 West 7th Street is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The home is an example of a Saint Paul residence of a settler of some financial means.

The Rochat-Louise-Sauerwein Block are a group of buildings that comprise one of the few remaining intact Victorian commercial blocks in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. They were built 1885-1895 by Castner, Hermann Kretz, and Edward P. Bassford, and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Irvine Park is a neighborhood just west of downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, that contains a number of historic homes. The neighborhood was platted by John Irvine and Henry Mower Rice in 1849. At the center of the neighborhood is Irvine Park, a New England-style public square. The neighborhood is a district listed on the National Register of Historic Places and also designated by the city as a historic district.The neighborhood suffered for much of the twentieth century. A report on housing from the 1930s characterized the area as being ... in the less desirable rooming-house district; old homes, that at one time were mansions, but, over a period of years have been out-moded. Each successive tenant has been a little less able to pay adequate rent until the present occupants have commercialized the homes in one form or another. In 1970, 96 percent of the neighborhood's houses were classified as substandard by the city. In the early 1970s the city planned to tear down the area and replace it with high-rise apartments for public housing. The neighborhood became a National Register Historic District in 1973 and was named Saint Paul Heritage Preservation District in 1982.

The John M. Armstrong House is in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. John Milton Armstrong, son of John Armstrong, Jr. (April 20, 1793 – December 22, 1865) hired architect Edward P. Bassford to design this side-by-side duplex in 1886 as income-producing residential housing. The red brick house was originally located at 233-235 West Fifth Street, but was moved to its present location on Eagle Parkway in November 2001.

The Festival of Nations is an annual multicultural festival in the American Midwest, organised by the International Institute of Minnesota. Since 1932, its goal has been to inspire people to discover more about their world and embrace the rich cultural diversity in their community. Nearly 100 ethnic groups come together for a unique, 4-day experience that celebrates cultural heritage through dancing, performances, exhibits, demonstrations and cuisine. Through the provision of a stage and platform for the new artists, and the sharing and documentation of this heritage. As the Festival evolves every year, they welcome new ethnic groups and offer programming that reflects the diversity of their community. Xcel Energy Center (also known as "The X") is a multipurpose arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Completed in 2000, it is named for its locally based corporate sponsor Xcel Energy. With an official capacity of 17,954, the arena has four spectator levels: one suite level and three for general seating. The building is home to the NHL's Minnesota Wild. The arena is owned by the city of Saint Paul and operated by the Wild's parent company, Minnesota Sports & Entertainment. It is on the same block as the RiverCentre convention facility, Roy Wilkins Auditorium and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, in downtown St. Paul, and shares a single indoor access area with RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium. It also hosted the 2008 Republican National Convention.

The Martin Weber House is a historical residence in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The house was built in 1867 of rough-cut limestone. It was the home of Catherin and Martin Weber; built by German immigrant stonemasons Jacob Amos and Christian Rhinehardt.The house was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1983 as part of the West Seventh Street Early Limestone Houses Thematic Resource, along with the Joseph Brings House and Anthony Waldman House. The Weber House received an NRHP reference number, #83004867, but the listing was never finalized. None of the three buildings are officially on the National Register. It was listed with listing code DR, meaning "Date Received" and nomination pending, in 1983.

The Joseph Brings House, also known as the Johan and Maria Magdalena Schilliger House, is a historical residence in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, built of local limestone. Originally located at 314 Smith Avenue North, the home was built between 1859 and 1862 by John Schilliger and purchased by Brings in 1863. A cooper, Joseph Brings (1820–1899) was born in Germany and came to Saint Paul in 1857.The house was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1983 as part of the West Seventh Street Early Limestone Houses Thematic Resource, along with the Anthony Waldman House and Martin Weber House. The Brings House received an NRHP reference number, #83004868, but the listing was never finalized. None of the three buildings are officially on the National Register. It was listed with listing code DR, meaning "Date Received" and nomination pending, in 1983.

The Saint Paul Municipal Grain Terminal, also known as the head house (a six-story grain elevator) and sack house, sits on piers over the Mississippi River in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It was built between 1927 and 1931 as part of the Equity Cooperative Exchange and is a remnant of Saint Paul's early history as a Mississippi River port city. The Saint Paul Municipal Grain Terminal was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis (Latin: Archidiœcesis Paulopolitana et Minneapolitana) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical jurisdiction or diocese of the Catholic Church in the United States. It is led by an archbishop who administers the archdiocese from the cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. The archbishop has both a cathedral and co-cathedral: the mother church, the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Saint Paul and the co-cathedral, the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis. The archdiocese has 188 parish churches in twelve counties of Minnesota. It counts in its membership an approximate total of 750,000 people. It has two seminaries, the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity and Saint John Vianney College Seminary. Its official newspaper is The Catholic Spirit.

The Saint Paul RiverCentre is a convention center located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It sits adjacent to the Roy Wilkins Auditorium, Xcel Energy Center and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. The convention center opened in 1998. It was designed by Hammel Green and Abrahamson, Inc. It has twice been honored as "Best Convention Center" by Minnesota Meetings and Events Magazine. It hosts a large variety of events and has been the home of the annual Festival of Nations.
