Utterby

Fotherby is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated just east from the A16 road, 13 miles (21 km) east from Market Rasen, and 10 miles (16 km) south from Cleethorpes. In the Domesday account Fotherby is written as "Fodrebi". Before the Conquest lordship was held by Thorgot Lag, and after, Berengar of Tosny, with Robert of Tosny as Tenant-in-chief.In 1885 Kelly's noted six almshouses, built in 1866 for the benefit of six poor people by James Fowler, on the site of an older glebe house. Parish area was 1,400 acres (5.7 km2) with chief agricultural production of wheat, barley, oats, turnips, seeds and beans, and an 1881 population of 1881.Fotherby Grade II listed Anglican church is dedicated to St Mary. It was entirely rebuilt by James Fowler in 1863, in Early English style with chancel, nave, south porch, and western tower with a broach spire containing three bells originally cast in 1608.Further listed buildings are Mawers Farm on Peppin Lane, and a Sunday School building on Church Lane.

Fotherby Halt was a railway halt on the East Lincolnshire Railway which served the village of Fotherby in Lincolnshire between 1905 and 1961. The station was opened on the site of a previous station named Fotherby Gate House which had closed in 1872. The second station closed in 1961, but the line through it remained open for freight until December 1980. The line through the station could be reopened by the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway as part of its extension south from Ludborough to Louth.

Ludborough is a heritage railway station in Ludborough, Lincolnshire, England, which is the base of the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway. The station, which was previously part of the East Lincolnshire Railway, closed in 1961 to passengers and 1964 to freight, but was taken over by the preservation society in 1984. The first trains from the station to North Thoresby, to the north, ran in August 2009, the first for 47 years. There are proposals to extend the line further in both directions towards Holton-le-Clay and Louth.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway (LWR) is a heritage railway based at Ludborough station, near Louth, Lincolnshire, England and the only standard gauge steam railway in Lincolnshire open to the public. The line is part of the original Great Northern Railway (GNR), a rail system that opened in 1848 and once linked Grimsby, Louth and East Lincolnshire with London. In early 2002, 2009 and 2013 the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway received a top national award from the Heritage Railway Association for its heritage railway efforts.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway Signals and Telecommunications Department is a railway department on the preserved heritage railway in Lincolnshire, England. It installs, maintains and repairs all the signalling and telecommunications on the LWR. Based primarily at Ludborough, the department looks after the railways two functioning signal boxes at Ludborough and North Thoresby.

Acthorpe is a hamlet in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) north-west from the town of Louth, and in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Acthorpe is part of the civil parish of Elkington. Acthorpe does not appear in the Domesday Book and is considered a deserted medieval village.Acthorpe Farm House is a Grade II listed building of red brick, dating from 1740, with 19th- and 20th-century alterations.Acthorpe Wood is an area of semi-natural ancient woodland.

Brackenborough with Little Grimsby is a civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England.According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 78. The parish was formed on 1 April 1987 from "Brackenborough" and "Little Grimsby".

Louth North railway station is the future southern terminus of the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway where it will occupy a new site on the Fairfield industrial site.

Covenham St Bartholomew is a village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles (8 km) north from Louth. The southern part of the village adjoins Covenham St Mary; both villages are ecclesiastical parishes and part of the civil parish of Covenham. The prime meridian passes to the west of Covenham St Bartholomew. The Grade II listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Bartholomew. The church is mainly in Decorated style, and formerly cruciform in plan before losing its north transept. It has a low central bell-tower. On the floor of the church is a monumental brass with an effigy of Sir John Skypwyth, 1415. St Bartholomew's was repaired and re-seated in 1863 The manor of Covenham was an endowment to Covenham Priory, which itself was given by William I to the abbey of St Carileph at Le Mans. In 1303 the priory became unprofitable and was sold to Kirkstead Abbey.In the 19th century Covenham held Wesleyan, Primitive and Free Methodist chapels.Other Grade II listed buildings within the village are Haith's Farm House and Mill House.To the north-east of the village is a large reservoir with public access.

Fulstow is a marsh village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 6 miles (10 km) north of Louth and 8 miles (13 km) south of Grimsby.

North Thoresby is a heritage railway station in North Thoresby, Lincolnshire. The station, which was previously part of the East Lincolnshire Railway, closed in 1970, but has since been reopened by the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway. The first services to the station from Ludborough, to the south, ran in August 2009, the first in 47 years. The LWR aims to extend the line further in both directions, northwards as far as Holton-Le-Clay and southwards to Louth.

Brackenborough is a hamlet in the civil parish of Brackenborough with Little Grimsby, in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. At the census 2011 the population was included in the civil parish of Keddington. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) north from the town of Louth, and lies in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Listed in the 1086 Domesday Book with 15 households, Brackenborough is now a deserted medieval village with earthworks visible to the north and south-east of Brackenborough Hall.Brackenborough Hall is a Grade II* listed building dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions, and built of red brick. It is likely that it replaced an older building, and according to Lincolnshire Archives it was referred to in 1856 as "an ancient moated farmhouse". The Coach House has been converted into holiday apartments. In the grounds of the Hall is a Grade II listed Folly dating from 1863, built for James Robson, using building material from nearby Fotherby church, which was demolished the same year. Restoration of the folly was completed in 2022.
