Brackenborough with Little Grimsby

Brackenborough is a hamlet in the civil parish of Brackenborough with Little Grimsby, in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. At the census 2011 the population was included in the civil parish of Keddington. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) north from the town of Louth, and lies in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Listed in the 1086 Domesday Book with 15 households, Brackenborough is now a deserted medieval village with earthworks visible to the north and south-east of Brackenborough Hall.Brackenborough Hall is a Grade II* listed building dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions, and built of red brick. It is likely that it replaced an older building, and according to Lincolnshire Archives it was referred to in 1856 as "an ancient moated farmhouse". The Coach House has been converted into holiday apartments. In the grounds of the Hall is a Grade II listed Folly dating from 1863, built for James Robson, using building material from nearby Fotherby church, which was demolished the same year. Restoration of the folly was completed in 2022.

Fotherby Halt was a railway halt on the East Lincolnshire Railway which served the village of Fotherby in Lincolnshire between 1905 and 1961. The station was opened on the site of a previous station named Fotherby Gate House which had closed in 1872. The second station closed in 1961, but the line through it remained open for freight until December 1980. The line through the station could be reopened by the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway as part of its extension south from Ludborough to Louth.

Louth North railway station is the future southern terminus of the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway where it will occupy a new site on the Fairfield industrial site.

Fotherby is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated just east from the A16 road, 13 miles (21 km) east from Market Rasen, and 10 miles (16 km) south from Cleethorpes. In the Domesday account Fotherby is written as "Fodrebi". Before the Conquest lordship was held by Thorgot Lag, and after, Berengar of Tosny, with Robert of Tosny as Tenant-in-chief.In 1885 Kelly's noted six almshouses, built in 1866 for the benefit of six poor people by James Fowler, on the site of an older glebe house. Parish area was 1,400 acres (5.7 km2) with chief agricultural production of wheat, barley, oats, turnips, seeds and beans, and an 1881 population of 1881.Fotherby Grade II listed Anglican church is dedicated to St Mary. It was entirely rebuilt by James Fowler in 1863, in Early English style with chancel, nave, south porch, and western tower with a broach spire containing three bells originally cast in 1608.Further listed buildings are Mawers Farm on Peppin Lane, and a Sunday School building on Church Lane.

Cordeaux Academy (formerly Cordeaux School) was a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located on North Holme Road in Louth, Lincolnshire, England. Cordeaux educated pupils aged 11 to 18. Its size was a smaller than average, in an area where there are selective grammar schools. It had 550 pupils of whom 70 where in the Sixth form. It employed 39 teachers, and support, technical and administrative staff. The school had 26 feeder schools from the surrounding area, and its partner secondary school was King Edward VI Grammar School, the local Grammar School. Over 50% of Cordeaux's pupils traveled to school by bus from outlying areas.On 20 June 2017, it was announced that Cordeaux Academy would transfer academy sponsorship from The Academies Enterprise Trust to The Tollbar Multi Academy Trust (Tollbar MAT) from September 2017 at a request from the Regional Schools Commissioner. Cordeaux Academy joined with the former Monks Dyke Tennyson College under Tollbar MAT during the 2017/2018 to create a single Louth Academy split across two sites. The former Cordeaux site is now known as Louth Academy Lower Campus for the lower school (years 7 & 8) with the former MTDC site known as Louth Academy Upper Campus for the upper years (9,10,11,6 form). Tollbar MAT currently is the sponsor of Tollbar Academy in New Waltham, Grimsby along with several other Secondary and Primary Academies in the Lincolnshire area.

Louth railway station was a station in Louth, Lincolnshire, England. It served as a junction for several different now closed lines which converged on the town.The closure of the station has left Louth which has over 16,000 residents the largest town in Lincolnshire without a railway station.

Keddington is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is 2 miles (3 km) north-east from Louth. Keddington Grade II* listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Margaret. The church was restored in 1871–73. It has a 15th-century wooden eagle lectern, and a south door with transom. The eagle lectern is one of only six in England of its kind.Other Grade II listed buildings include the remains of two locks on the disused Louth Canal, four farm houses, a cottage, and the remains of Louth Abbey. A Cistercian house, Louth Abbey was founded in 1139, and was dissolved at suppression in 1536. Still visible are earthworks and ruined chancel walls.

The Priory Hotel in Louth, Lincolnshire is a building of historical significance and is listed on the English Heritage Register. It is described as an accomplished example of an early 19th Century villa of fine quality. It was built from 1812 to 1818 by Thomas Espin, a talented topographical artist and draughtsman, amateur architect and mathematician. It was the home of several prominent people over the next two centuries. Today it is a hotel which provides accommodation, restaurant facilities and caters for special events.

Louth Museum is a visitor attraction in the historic market town of Louth in Lincolnshire, close to the Lincolnshire Wolds. Located at 4 Broadbank, Louth, LN11 0EQ, the museum has four galleries, a library which doubles as a space for exhibitions, and a gift shop. Among its displays is the largest national collection of woodcarvings by the prize-winning Victorian sculptor and carver Thomas Wilkinson Wallis. Louth Museum is normally open from April to October each year, Wednesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 4 pm. There is a small admission charge while children go free.

Yarburgh is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England, and situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) north-east from the town of Louth.The name 'Yarburgh' means 'fortification made of earth'.St John the Baptist's Church in Yarburgh dates from at least the 13th century, although it was rebuilt after a fire in 1405 and restored in 1855. It is now in the care of The Churches Conservation Trust.
