This clubhouse was designed by California architect Julia Morgan in 1915 for the Women's Club of Saratoga. This building is historically significant due to the club's role in shaping Saratoga's civic and cultural life. Moreover, it is known for being designed by Julia Morgan, the first licensed female architect in the state. Established in 1907, the Saratoga Foothill Club stands as the oldest social organization in the city. The Saratoga Foothill Club was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 27, 2005.

The Montalvo Arts Center is a non-profit center for the arts in Saratoga, California, United States. Open to the public, Montalvo comprises a cultural and arts center, a park, hiking trails and the historic Villa Montalvo, an Italian Mediterranean Revival mansion nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The mansion and estate were constructed from 1912 to 1914 by California statesman and businessman James Duval Phelan. After Phelan's death, the entire estate was donated to California as a park and then a cultural and arts center as it exists today. The arts center maintains the estate in partnership with Santa Clara County. The mansion is a historic landmark, and in 1978 it was awarded inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

William Jones (1884–1968), a seasoned veteran of the steam era who established the Wildcat Railroad in Los Gatos, California, was born the son of a teamster in the town of Ben Lomond, California, USA. Jones found employment as an engine wiper at the age of 13 with the 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge South Pacific Coast Railroad at Boulder Creek, California. At 17, Jones was promoted to fireman, and later became an engineer. The South Pacific Coast Railroad, which had been acquired by the Southern Pacific Railroad, was converted to a standard gauge road by 1909. Jones was among the first to work the first standard gauge portions of the line out of San Jose, ultimately advancing to the Coast Daylight run between San Francisco and San Luis Obispo. After World War II, he was in charge of the reassembly of the preserved locomotive Gov. Stanford for Stanford University; the locomotive is currently on display at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento.Jones married Geraldine McGrady, the schoolteacher at Wright's Station, located south of Los Gatos. After settling down in Los Gatos on a 9-acre (3.6 ha) prune orchard known as "The Ranch", the Jones family grew to include two sons, Robert and Neal, and two daughters, Betty and Geraldine. The Ranch was located at the corner of Daves Avenue and the Santa Clara-Los Gatos Road (today's Winchester Boulevard).

The winery is a California Historical Landmark (#733) and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Miller-Melone Ranch is a historic American Craftsman ranch-style homestead, located in Saratoga, California. The ranch house was designed and built by architect Frank Delos Wolfe in 1911 for Charles Miller and his wife Lillian Fern Melone. It is the last remaining prune ranch home in the Sarartoga area. The Miller-Melone Ranch was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 1, 1993.
