North Coast AVA

Rancho Caslamayomi was a 26,788-acre (108.41 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sonoma County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Eugenio Montenegro. The grant extended along Little Sulphur Creek in the Mayacamas Mountains north of Healdsburg.

The California Coast Ranges Biosphere Reserve (established 1983) was a UNESCO Biosphere reserve located along the California Coast Ranges of northern California and the San Francisco Bay area until June 2017. This biosphere reserve includes a highly diverse complex of evergreen sclerophyllous woodland, coastal, estuary and marine ecosystems.

Asti is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States. It is located near U.S. Route 101 in the Alexander Valley between Cloverdale, Geyserville and Healdsburg, and was named after the city in northern Italy (toponym in Italian instead of Piedmontese)In 1881, Andrea Sbarboro established two communities, Asti and Chianti, as part of his Italian Swiss Agricultural Colony. A plaque at the southeast corner of Asti Road and Asti Post Office Road commemorates the colony, whose wines won ten gold medals in international competition. The colony is California Historical Landmark #621.Located in the Alexander Valley AVA, Asti is the home of Asti Winery. By the mid-1950s, it had become the second-most-visited destination in California, after Disneyland.Asti had a post office which closed in 1978. It used the ZIP Code 95413. The community is now served by Cloverdale's ZIP Code, 95425.

The Dry Creek Rancheria is the land base ( reservation ) of the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians. The reservation consists today of approximately 75 acres (300,000 m2) near the Russian River, in Sonoma County, approximately 75 miles (121 km) north of San Francisco, California. It is situated about 3 miles southeast of Geyserville. The tribe itself was called Dry Creek Rancheria from the time of Vallejo (Spanish Rancherías) in the 19th century. In 1915 the tribe was called "Dry Creek Indians", "Dry Creek Pomo", and many mixtures of the two. The tribe adopted the name "Dry Creek Rancheria" for the reservation (lands) and the tribe officially in 1972. The tribe changed its name to Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians.

Cloverdale Municipal Airport (FAA LID: O60) is a public airport located three miles (4.8 km) southeast of Cloverdale, serving Sonoma County, California, United States. It is mostly used for general aviation. Other activities at the airport include skydiving, ultralight and experimental activities. It is home to Quality Sport Planes, the western representative for Zenith Aircraft Company since 2005.

Rancho Rincon de Musalacon was a 8,867-acre (35.88 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sonoma County, California given in 1846 by Governor Pío Pico to Francisco Berreyesa. The grant extended along both sides of the Russian River and encompassed present-day Cloverdale and Asti.

The Pine Mountain-Cloverdale Peak AVA is an American Viticultural Area in Sonoma County. It is located at the top of Pine Mountain, at the Northern end of the Mayacamas Range, which separates the Napa and Sonoma growing regions. The AVA, which rises between 1600 feet at its lowest point to 2600 feet at its highest, is one of the highest grape growing regions in California.

Lytton is an unincorporated community in Sonoma County, California, United States. The community is on U.S. Route 101, 3.4 miles (5.5 km) north of Healdsburg.The community of Lytton grew up around a large luxury resort built at the site in 1872 by Capt. William H. Litton. After Litton's death in the 1880s, the site briefly became a military school for boys, until in 1893 it was purchased by an Oakland doctor and converted into a sanitarium. The Salvation Army purchased the sanitarium in 1904, and for many years thereafter operated it as the Lytton Orphanage and School for Boys and Girls. Beginning in 1959, the facility became an adult rehabilitation center. The Salvation Army finally sold the Lytton Springs facility in 2017. The Lytton Band of Pomo Indians purchased the site for some $30 million, after many years of unsuccessfully trying to reacquire lands lost during the federal dissolution of California Indian rancherias.Lytton once had a station on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad.

Cloverdale station is a bus station and future intermodal station in Cloverdale, California. It is served by Amtrak Thruway and Sonoma County Transit buses. Additional service to Sonoma County Airport station is provided by Sonoma County Transit under contract by Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit.

Big Sulphur Creek is a westward-flowing stream in northern Sonoma County, California, United States, which springs from The Geysers in the Mayacamas Mountains and runs 20 miles (32 km) to empty into the Russian River.
