Wenns (German pronunciation: [vɛns] ) is a municipality in the Imst district 7.30 km south of Imst at the Pitze river. Due to its central location in the Pitztal valley it is one of the area's key villages. The primary source of income is tourism, especially skiing even though there is no skiing in Wenns itself. The 700-year-old Stamserhaus in Wenns is the oldest farmhouse in Tyrol.

Arzl im Pitztal is a municipality and a town in the district of Imst in the Austrian state of Tyrol.

The Gurglbach is a river of Tyrol, Austria. The Gurglbach originates on the rock face Heiterwand near Nassereith. It flows from west to east to Tarrenz, the only village that it passes completely through. There, it changes its route and flows south to Imst where it merges with the river Inn 4 km (2.5 mi) away from the town. It has a length of 25.2 km (15.7 mi).A calm, slow running brook, the river is one of the cleanest waters of Tyrol.

Karrösten is a municipality and a village in the district of Imst, located 1.3 km east of Imst. The village was founded because of mining in the 16th century. Fruits and maize as well as sweet chestnuts flourish on the slopes.

The Pitze (also: Pitzbach) is a river in the Imst district, Tyrol, Austria, a right tributary of the river Inn. The Pitze flows through the Pitztal valley, a southern branch of the Inntal. It has a length of about 41 kilometres (25 mi), and its basin area is 308 km2 (119 sq mi). It merges with the Inn 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the city of Imst at an elevation of 700 metres (2,300 ft).

Karres is a municipality and a village in the district of Imst in Austria and is located 2.5 km east of Imst near the mouth of the Pitze River. The village was founded in the Middle Ages because of mining. It has 589 inhabitants.

Mils bei Imst is a municipality in the Imst district and is located 5 km west of Imst. Thanks to a motorway tunnel the location is free of heavy traffic. Mils possesses a flood-meadow which is a popular recreation area.

Roppen is a municipality in the Imst district and is located 5 km southeast of Imst between the mouths of the Pitze River and the Ötztaler Ache. The village was mentioned in documents in 1260 for the first time as "Roupen" but settlement already began 3000 years ago.

Schönwies is a municipality in the district of Landeck in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 8 km northeast of the city of Landeck and 7 km west of the city of Imst. The main source of income is the mining of limestone ballast stone. The highest point in the municipality is the Große Schlenkerspitze (2,827 m) which is also the highest mountain in the eastern Lechtal Alps.
