Fairborn High School is a public high school for grades 9-12 in Fairborn, Ohio. It currently is the only high school in the Fairborn City Schools district. The mascot is the Skyhawk. The school has approximately 1,500 students, varying by school year. Many students from Wright Patterson AFB attend the school, which has caused the attendance to fluctuate. As of 2019-20, Fairborn is a member of the Miami Valley League (MVL)

The Mercer Log House is a large log cabin in the city of Fairborn, Ohio, United States. Home to the city's first settlers and changed very little since their time, it is one of Ohio's best preserved log cabins from the settlement period, and it has been named a historic site.

Massies Creek is a stream located entirely within Greene County, Ohio. It is a tributary of the Little Miami River. The stream begins at the confluence of the North and South forks within Cedarville at 39°44′34″N 83°48′19″W and flows generally west to enter the Little Miami north of Oldtown and Xenia at 39°44′11″N 83°56′25″W.Massies Creek was named for Nathaniel Massie, a government surveyor. Variant names include Masseys Creek, Massicks Creek and Massie Creek.

Nischwitz Stadium is a baseball venue located in Fairborn, Ohio, United States. It is home to the Wright State Raiders of the Horizon League that competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level. The facility has chairback seating for 750 spectators.The stadium is named for Ron Nischwitz and Gregg Nischwitz. Ron coached the program for 30 years, and his son Gregg played one season for the Raiders. However, he died in a 1980 construction accident. The stadium, built in 1999, was dedicated in their honor on April 12, 2000, during a Wright State game against Indiana.Baseball has been played at the current site since 1993 when campus expansion supplanted the original field. That field had been celebrated for its playing surface but lacked lighting. It was located near the current Student Union. A campus recreation field may be found near the former site today. In fall 2012, a FieldTurf surface was installed at the field.

Alumni Field is the on-campus soccer stadium at Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio, United States. The field was dedicated in 1999 and is so named because it was built through a gift from the Wright State University Alumni Association. The stadium seats 1,000 fans and is also used for local semi-professional, amateur, and youth soccer events.

The Hindu Temple of Dayton is a Hindu temple in Beavercreek, Ohio. It opened in 1984, making it the oldest Hindu temple in the Dayton metropolitan area. It has shrines for the deities Venkateshwara, Rama and Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman, Ganesha, and Radha Krishna.

The Battle of Chillicothe was a military engagement of the western theater of the American Revolutionary War. In May 1779, Colonel John Bowman of the Kentucky County militia, accompanied by Benjamin Logan and Levi Todd, led between 160 and 300 militiamen against the Shawnee settlement of Old Chillicothe. Dividing their forces, Bowman and Logan attacked the town from two sides but were eventually repulsed. Unable to draw the Shawnee from their single blockhouse, Bowman burned much of the town and left with between 30 and 300 horses valued at $32,000. Although initially blamed for a defeat, as well as the eight or ten casualties suffered by the Americans, Bowman and Logan were eventually credited by some with a major victory for the Patriots. With the destruction of a major Shawnee settlement and the death of Blackfish, additional war parties were discouraged from moving against American settlers in Kentucky. According to Theodore Roosevelt in The Winning of the West, "the expedition undoubtedly accomplished more than Clark's attack on Piqua next year."
